delete, it redirects to a different person. There is also a Daniel Dor. Shilton (talk) 07:19, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep He might be called Dor Daniel. 122.61.86.240 (talk) 09:49, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as ambiguous in the real world, unless there a verified mention in the article that he's also known as Daniel Dor. Daniel, Dor would be acceptable. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:41, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

Wikipedia:SERIAL[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Serial commas. signed, Rosguill talk 22:28, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:SERIAL currently points to a section in the MOS regarding serial commas. I think this redirect should also target that section instead of this failed proposal regarding notability. I saw a few uses meaning to target the MOS page instead of this one as well. Izno (talk) 15:20, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. The vast majority (all but approximately 2-3, excluding the target page itself) of the current links expect this to point to the guideline about serial commas, and one of those also uses the WP:EPISODE shortcut which links to the same target (although that is another one I wouldn't expect to go to a failed proposal). Thryduulf (talk) 16:00, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it's only advertised as such. WP:EPISODE actually targets Wikipedia:Television episodes. (Whether that should go there or MOS:TV might be of some debate but I think that target is reasonable.) --Izno (talk) 16:29, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is indeed a reasonable target. Thryduulf (talk) 18:06, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Elddis[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. signed, Rosguill talk 22:27, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Elddis is a vague word, its highly likely that when people search Elddis they are looking for Elddis Caravans not Elddis Transport. Devokewater (talk) 11:58, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep firstly this is a {{R from move}} and secondly we don't appear to have an article about Elddis Caravans or anything else with the name "Elddis". Disambiguation or hatnotes can be used when an aticle is written if they are notable. Thryduulf (talk) 12:05, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete all. These redirects point to pages with no more than passing mention of them and they discourage article creation. A7V2 (talk) 06:01, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete to promote article creation (WP:RfD#D10)
    SSSB (talk) 10:24, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all to encourage article creation. Narky Blert (talk) 14:17, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all to encourage article creation, it's not worth it to surprise readers by directing them to the grands prix rather than giving them info about these racing events. Regards, SONIC678 22:32, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete them all --Devokewater @ 17:08, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete them all I looked at 1929 Dieppe Grand Prix under NPP. Have not loooked at the others but I assume they are the same. North8000 (talk) 02:36, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@North8000: All were created by the same user in February this year except for 1929 Mugello Grand Prix which was created by the author (or someone using their name at least) of a website containing race reports of the period with just an external link, which was then nominated for speedy deletion and then redirected just a few hours later, back in September 2015. Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

Wikipedia is not a how-to guide. Mentioned at this AFC/R request in spirit of WP:OTHERSTUFF. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 00:24, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy keep per previous discussion. The policies on WP:NOHOWTO only limit to the articles, not redirects. If you disagree, then conduct a policy change to cover the redirects. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 04:29, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. As no new rationale has been given since the last deletion discussion, no new justification is needed. — Ƶ§œš¹ [lɛts b̥iː pʰəˈlaɪˀt] 05:00, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per the previous discussion. To be honest I'm slightly surprised that discussion wasn't closed as keep given the deletion arguments there are weak and pretty much fully refuted. Thryduulf (talk) 09:22, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as helpful to the readers. J947messageedits 22:51, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Socket puppet changed name to Tunnel Rail Devokewater (talk) 00:00, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have tagged it for speedy deletion. @Devokewater:, when a sock puppet of a blocked or banned user creates an article or another Wikipedia page, it can be tagged for speedy deletion as long as no good-faith editors have made significant edits to it. More information about that here. --bonadea contributions talk 11:19, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
