Nominator's rationale: delete per WP:SMALLCAT, currently each of the two categories contains one article about a defunct nightclub. Merging is not needed, the two articles are already in Category:Defunct LGBT nightclubs in the United States and Category:LGBT history in Nebraska/North Carolina.     • Are you disputing categorisation by defining characteristic? What is more defining of a book than its author? Are you disputing WP:Smallcat: "unless such categories are part of a large overall accepted sub-categorization scheme"? We have always kept single item categories for books, songs by writer etc (eg 2010 July 26#Category:Novels by David Marusek): I would find it irritating not to find a book in 'books by author'.   • I am not disputing definingness, but definingness is a necessary criterion, not a sufficient criterion. Categories can be merged/deleted by any criterion in WP:OCAT, not just by WP:NONDEF. I am disputing the smallcat exception here, first because many book articles are not in a book by author category so it isn't that well accepted, and second for the reason I mentioned earlier. Looking at the Category:Proposed railway stations by country tree, "under construction" categories are always sorted under the "proposed" categories, so choosing the more general name for consistency seems reasonable. ~~~~

  • Support but remove Berkeley Castle from UK category. The gay link is that Edward II was murdered there, but he was deposed from the throne by a rebel lord, not primarily for homosexuality. Template:Horse-stub[edit]

  • Comment Oh man this stub category is a shitshow; because it combines equine species, horse breeds, and individual horses into one stub template.
    Working this out, I think the best way would be to direct {{Donkey-stub}} to Category:Odd-toed ungulate stubs (the order). I don't think renaming horses to equines would be a great idea, since the other two odd-toed ungulate genii (rhinos and tapirs) have only a couple of stub tags, so there isn't a need for distinction right now. Individual horses would be tagged with {{Horse-stub}}, while breeds would be tagged with the existing {{Horse-breed-stub}}. Does this make sense? Curbon7 (talk) 07:32, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    @Curbon7 Thanks, obviously the more specific stub cat should be used given it exists. I have added it to most of the relevant pages now (please check Indian half-bred – that one talks specifically about a "type"). @Pegship: The {{Horse-breed-stub}} you created has almost 90 transclusions now; can you create a category for it? ~~~~
