Request for Review/Critique/Suggestions of Improvements

@Prodraxis: Hi! Thanks for your welcome entry on my Talk page last month. Here is an article I've been working on offline and I just published: Joseph Bavaria. Would love to read your comments, suggestions, and overall criticism. Let me know.Particleshow22 (talk) 02:31, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello @Particleshow22! Nice work on the article overall. It's great to see new users writing content (even I myself, who have been editing for ~5 months now, mostly focus on maintenance work lol.) I have one thing to say though: try to find more citations and references for the "Early life" section as well as the first paragraph under the "Career" sections. On Wikipedia, for biographies of living people we try to have every sentence be verified by independent secondary sources. I have added a {{more citations needed}} template to the article fyi. Good luck finding sources and happy editing! Cheers, — Prodraxis {talkcontribs} (she/her) 02:42, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
@Prodraxis:Thank you for your prompt review. It took me a while to write the article and assemble the sources. I am sure I will get better fast. I will add sources as I find them--I've just found and added this interview (primary source) which verifies a great art of his early life section. I am motivated to remove that ugly more citations tag lol. Thanks.Particleshow22 (talk) 02:51, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

DYK for T Express

On 10 August 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article T Express, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that T Express is the tallest, tenth-fastest and third-longest wooden roller coaster in the world? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/T Express. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, T Express), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Good catch

Hey Prodraxis, for catching and acting upon that racist screed, I'd like to present you with this barnstar:

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
For services in riding the community of a racist diatribe and in so doing protecting the integrity of the project, you are hearby awarded this token of appreciation and esteem. SnowRise let's rap 04:23, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

My guestbook

Hi Prodraxis, I think, you know more about it. Should this entry be removed from my guestbook? Have a nice weekend. --WikiUser1234945-- (talk) 16:51, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

@--WikiUser1234945--: Well, to me it looks like some vandal copying my signature to troll me, so I think it's best to remove it for now. — Prodraxis {talkcontribs} (she/her) 17:53, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for improving articles in August! - Today, my focus is on Renata Scotto, after days of updating. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:08, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

You're welcome! Always happy to improve the encyclopedia. It's funny when I was a newer user I used to be focused mostly on maintenance and antivandalism but nowadays I've been doing more content work. Nice work on that article by the way - honestly, I always appreciate your great content work. — Prodraxis {talkcontribs} (she/her) 17:02, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
Thank you so much! - Today is Debussy's birthday. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:25, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
Interesting, I didn't know that - somehow I had Orchestra class at school on Debussy's birthday.... interesting coincidence :) — Prodraxis {talkcontribs} (she/her) 16:47, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
Nice coincidence! - It's even on the Main page, "On this day". But I like my little tribute of his cello sonata better, actually last year's. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:12, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
Today is Gwendolyn Killebrew's birthday, - pictured: a spider and sweet food --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:49, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
This too shall pass. - Ten years ago on 28 August, I heard a symphony, with a heavy heart because of the pending decision in WP:ARBINFOBOX, and not worried about my future here but Andy's. - It passed, and I could write the DYK about calling to dance, not battle, and Andy could write the DYK mentioning about peace and reconciliation, - look. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:36, 28 August 2023 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hi Prodraxis. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Steps such as checking for copyright violations using Earwig's copyright violation detector, checking for duplicate articles, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a Google search) for compliance with the general notability guideline are mandatory and will take a few minutes per article.
  • Please review some of our flowcharts (1, 2) to help ensure you don't forget any required steps.
  • Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 13:28, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

@Tails Wx: Thanks for the kind words and for the DYK review! To be honest, when creating this article I was kinda shocked that it was BLARed due to a "lack of notability" before even if this had tons of SIGCOV and signs of notability in Korean sources so I decided to just write the article myself again from a redirect. #prodraxis connect 23:12, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
Wow, really? Interesting, and good work on the article! I can tell you put effort into making this. :) Tails Wx 22:33, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
