"Updated Queen's Counsel to King's Counsel" in Lord Chancellor[edit]

Hello Whirlpoolcomposerice! I've seen your edit Special:Diff/1110933608 in Lord Chancellor. I'm not sure, "Queen's Counsel" was about Kenneth Clarke and in the article about him I can read it was Secretary of State for Justice Lord Chancellor "12 May 2010 – 4 September 2012". Your edits to British Museum[edit]

Hello there

I reverted you recent edit to this article because the point about "emptying museums" is already made a couple of sentences above, so the culture secretary isn't stating anything new. This article is about the British Museum as a whole and I think it's best not to turn it into a debating forum every time someone makes a statement about the Elgin marbles. The British Museum has confirmed that talks about the future of the marbles are ongoing and it's probably best to leave it at that until (and if) some definitive agreement between Britain and Greece is reached. Hi - I fully agree that this page shouldn't become a debating forum every time someone makes a statement about the Elgin marbles. However, the Culture Secretary is the government minister responsible for the Museum (albeit at an arms length), so what they say represents the view of the government and can shape what the Museum does - would this make it worth keeping? Possibly, but if you look at the recent edit history of this article and others relating to the Elgin Marbles you will see that a few registered and unregistered users are using these articles to add every piece of media speculation and Greek government pronouncement on the issue. It looks like we are running into the Greek election cycle and some people are getting excited. I think it would be better to keep the focus on the main topic of these articles. My hunch is that if any deal is done it will be over the head of the Culture Secretary in any case. My other hunch is that no deal will be done this year. But if one is done, we can record it then as a piece of truly significant information. A couple of us are also fighting a reargard battle in retaining some semblance of a neutral POV in these articles, and it would be helpful not to provoke the hotheads.
