Seeking consensus[edit]

Information icon Hi Turkiishh! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Grand Duchess Anna Petrovna of Russia several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Grand Duchess Anna Petrovna of Russia, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Thinker78 (talk) 00:02, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Turkiishhh is a clown. Greece has one of the largest Gagaouz Majorities on this list but deleted the truth. Over 300 families immigrated to the U.S. between the 50-90s from a single Greek village alone yet his national proudness refuses to accept the fact that its true 73.182.212.14 (talk) 22:27, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why was Greece edit Removed?[edit]

Greece has the largest Gagaouz Population neck and neck with Moldova (who were the non-Greek speaking Gagaouz). There’s 10s of not 100s of thousands of Greeks that are of Gagaouz descendants (now calling themselves Thracians in Greece). They migrated during the population exchange of the 20th century Balkan Wars and World War 1. Majority currently live between Evia( Thraki) and Kilkis (Macedonia ,Gr) with Serres and Komotini districts holding majority of the population. The minority Turkic language is still spoken in the villages to this day. But some FOOL who eats Kemal and Erdogans dung deleted everything I wrote…. Please elaborate why you are so mad that we are Greek? You are a looser and Clown for deleting the truth

PS. use this website to see population exchange between Anatolia and Greece. You will see Gagaouz Greeks from Western Thrace being mainly relocated along villages following the old railway system from Evia to Sidirokastro Greece. 73.182.212.14 (talk) 22:23, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The relevance of the topic lies in the very debatable history of the Chuvash ancestors. Still, the theory of ancient Chuvash outcome from Central Asia is dominating. This theory is mostly supported by the indirect linguistic arguments, however, it lacks of direct historical, ethnographic and ethno-toponymical sources. There is also confusion with other quasi-scientific tribes (Cheshi, Sibir, Dingling). The paper analyzes the available ethnographic facts in a comparatively historical perspective.[1]
The paper is devoted to the spirited discussion on the vexed question of the historical ancestors of the Chuvash people. Some researchers consider the ancestors of modern Chuvash as Bulgars, others as Savirs (Suvars). The aim of the presented study is to demonstrate the substrate parallels of modern Chuvash with the Savirs (Suvars) in lieu of the ethnographic facts
According to available publications the historical ancestors of the Chuvash are known as the Savirs/Sabirs/Suvars. Although the thesis remains open, it contains enough ground for scientific research. The problem is that there are two rival schools of thought on the origin of the Chuvash people: Bulgarian and Suvar. Up to date, the first one has unquestionably dominated, but recently the second acquired more reliable vindications Auzandil (talk) 20:34, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. Please also read the talk header section of pages in this topic area for possible additional information and editing restrictions. It does not appear that this notice has been posted to your talk page. If it has already been left already by another editor, please let me know. If you have questions, please request help at the Teahouse.  // Timothy :: talk  21:39, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
