Sentence spacing[edit]

Hi -- I undid your removal of the double sentence spacing in The Black Cat. It's best not to change sentence spacing from double to single or vice versa; both are perfectly valid and generally whatever you see in an article has been deliberately used by the editor(s) working on the article. Thanks -- Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:35, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I see your point. No worries mate. TheBritinator (talk) 12:40, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Alexander Frick Office.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Alexander Frick Office.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 14:44, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An email has been sent to the source holder through their website, should they respond with a copyright clarification through a website or email to the permissions then that should clear things up. If not, then I will change it to the licensing to a deceased person. TheBritinator (talk) 15:00, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Advocatur Seeger, Frick & Partner, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sabine Monauni, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Feldkirch. Notice

The article Liechtenstein–Ukraine relations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I count one source in this article which isn't 100% actually about Russia–Ukraine relations, a topic on which Liechtenstein is 100% aligned with it's much larger neighbours. This is a WP:COATRACK article for things already said much better elsewhere.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Liechtenstein–Ukraine relations for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Liechtenstein–Ukraine relations is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Liechtenstein–Ukraine relations until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Liechtenstein–Switzerland relations[edit]

Please go look at the discussion I started at Talk:Liechtenstein–Switzerland relations. Thanks. Criticalthinker (talk) 08:03, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see. I didn't really modify anything that was already there, just rather add additional historical information on from what I knew elsewhere. I can see about improving the current one too at some point if that's needed. TheBritinator (talk) 08:18, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I added sourcing (Refrences 4 & 5) on 2 February of this year for some facts listed that didn't have any cited sources. I guess you can look back through the two sources I have cited - there are older documents on Dodis. I guess my question on the Talk page was whether it can be found using Dodis when Switzerland explicitly & formally agreed to take over Liechtenstein's foreign relations? I imagine it was very soon after the documents I site on the article, and I guess I was asking if someone who can read French & German can perhaps search the months or few years after Liechtenstein's request that Switzerland agreed to this. Criticalthinker (talk) 07:51, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @TheBritinator,

Hope all is well. I reviewed 1939 Liechtenstein putsch and I found it quite DYK-worthy. Consider hooks like

  • ... that during the 1939 Liechtenstein putsch, many Nazi supporters were prevented from leaving their homes from their political opponents?
  • ... that a large majority of Jewish people in Liechtenstein left the country during the one-day unsuccessful 1939 Liechtenstein putsch, and most returned the day after?

The article is an interesting read. Well done. Cheers, --The Lonely Pather (talk) 10:42, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted[edit]

Hi TheBritinator, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:32, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the privilege. I will be sure to use this to excel. TheBritinator (talk) 17:26, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @TheBritinator: I was wondering why you promoted this article out of WP:AFC when so obvious a fail of WP:NCORP, its full of funding and valuation news typical of a brand new startup. Have you read WP:NCORP. There is a not a single WP:SECONDARY source in the first two references blocks that satisfies WP:NCORP, nevermind WP:SIRS. scope_creepTalk 16:09, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise if this was unsatisfactory. I best better educate myself regarding WP:NCORP, my interpretation is that the valuation would of been enough to pass with the sources in addition to it was not any longer written in an advertisement tone. I am aware the article was deleted before 2 or so years ago, but it had changed significantly since then and I thought that the sourcing was enough for a review in it's own right bypassing G4, though it's very possible I was wrong in thinking that. I am still rather new to this, I will definitely not repeat this mistake in the future. Thanks. TheBritinator (talk) 16:14, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gothic War (436-439)[edit]

Hi TheBritnator, could you help me with the article mentioned above. English is not my native language. I made it to the best of my ability, but linguistically it could be better. Maby that the template that you have added than can be removed. Geoffrey F (talk) 21:06, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Geoffrey F, I have looked at the article and it has definitely improved since I last looked at it. I am confident to say it is now in an encyclopaedic tone, so I removed that template. I also took the liberty of doing some minor copy-editing to improve the grammar, but it will probably need an in-depth look to be confident in removing that template, so I have kept that for now.
Looking good, keep up the great work! TheBritinator (talk) 22:13, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 13:59:17, 24 January 2024 for assistance on AfC submission by Bettylella[edit]

Hello, I am an auto-confirmed user in italian wiki where I am active since 2012 and have created more than 250 pages. I stopped creating pages on the EN version as maybe my english is not good enough. I would like your help because I think 90% of the work to create the article is done, with indipendent links for each content. You can check the content with the references I used. I think the problem is how I formulate some contents. Could you improve the style of my phrases? Sorry for my english level.

Bettylella (talk) 13:59, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure @Bettylella, I can help you on improving the tone and English to the article. However, I can't review my own work so If I were to do that It would need another reviewer. No problem. TheBritinator (talk) 15:06, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not urgent. Thank you very much for your help. Bettylella (talk) 15:15, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Bettylella I have worked on cleaning up the English and formatting slightly like you requested. I have also marked areas were reliable and secondary citations is needed. If it were to have more of that, then I believe it could be accepted, but again, I can't review my own work. I hope this helps. TheBritinator (talk) 01:53, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

About your review of Draft:Jelleine[edit]

Hey TheBritinator, bare URLs are not a valid reason for declining a submission. In general, minor cosmetic problems that can be fixed in seconds should never be a barrier for a submitter at AfC. If you think the citations could use better formatting, you can leave a comment or a cleanup tag — or even better, fix the issue yourself, like I just did. All we care about during the review is determining the subject's notability, making sure all of the core policies are met, and cleaning up any egregious formatting errors, like the prose being in all caps or something. Declines should generally only be made in terms of one of the reasons listed by the AFCH script. With that in mind, I'm resubmitting the draft for review, and I recommend that you retract your decline by replying to the template on the submitter's talk page. I'm happy to help if you have any questions! TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 02:25, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, no problem. Thanks for the clarification. TheBritinator (talk) 02:29, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You declined my submission Josef Fraenkel (Journalist)[edit]

I'm really confused as the sources are exactly the same as the existing german language page https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Fraenkel_(Journalist)

I was making an english language page for a relative of Josef fraenkel https://twitter.com/londonette/status/1750844639484018850

This is the first page I have made can possibly let me know what else I could have added considering its the same sources as an existing page

many thanks in advance

Maccaix (talk) 22:47, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's the only source listed. As I said in my comment, it sources also need to be broad, meaning that you are going to need at least a couple of more sources to make it past AfC. I hope that makes sense. I will happily re-review it once you are done. TheBritinator (talk) 22:56, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, kind sir. I have been working on the Alexander Celiadin article for quite some time, and would appreciate any pointers in the right direction regarding what changes are neccessary for the draft to be approved. The link: I assume it needs additional references so that the text is more professional and academic, but is there anything else I should be aware of? I'm writing it based on some initial research - and I have seen articles submitted with only 1 or 2 references, in total. Thank you for your help and patience.
