Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Modulate. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers^[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Thanks for uploading File:Modulate Promo shot 3 Feb 2010 (ALL USE MUST BE CREDITED (c) Nick Benk 2010).jpg, which you've sourced to http://gp1.wac.edgecastcdn.net/802892/production_public/Photo/3621281/image/Modulate_promo_2__c__Nick_Benke_2010_1290013562.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. The main thing that the article was missing on the previous submission was inline citations - which you addressed. The band meets Wikipedia:Notability (music) because of chart success in major countries and because of national/international tours (points 2, 4 and 1 were met). I see that you used a promotional image at Commons - I'm an admin there too. Promotional images are not allowed at either website - only images that you took yourself. Using anything that you didn't take is an illegal copyright violation. There are lots of people watching out for illegal images. I have removed it from the article so that it can be deleted. I totally understand why the picture was deleted as what you told me about copyright and in hindsight it does makes sense, so my question is can the person who took the picture upload to it into wikipedia and put it on the article himself as an edit on the article that I created? If the person who took the photograph uploaded it to Wikipedia and selected a valid free license - then yes - they could upload it to Wikipedia. However, it would be viewed suspiciously and the uploader would need to prove it. The process is found here. Royal broil 01:49, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
