Football Player And Manager versus Footballer And Manager[edit]

Hi. Noting (and reverting) your recent edits at Deaths in 2018, I have to say that this issue has been dealt with and resolved in previous months' Deaths Talk pages. The decision as I recall was to firmly indicate that the subject was both a player and a manager in association football, as opposed to being a footballer and some other kind of manager in another field. If you insist, I will try to find the exact section on the exact page for you, but I assure you we've been over this ground before (in fact, I was one of the editors reverted from your exact position last time, so a lesson learnt by me!). Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 15:41, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I'd noted that someone had erroneously listed an American football player as a "footballer", so I thought the others were just cases of similar recent confusion. Thanks for clearing it up. Skudrafan1 (talk) 15:47, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay. It's nice not have to argue a point for a change! If I hadn't reverted, one of the others would. Of course, single role association football players are indeed "footballers" still - and way better than "soccer players"! Cheers. Ref (chew)(do) 17:17, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Erie Triangle Cornerstone[edit]

Hi, I found your picture of the Erie Triangle Cornerstone. Would you happen to know the coordinates for it? Also, it's captioned as the westernmost point in New York State. Is that a unique claim, or is it at the same longitude as the rest of the border? If it is not a unique claim, do you know if there's an actual unique westernmost point on the border? Steven Slambodog (talk) 04:22, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinates are about 41°59′57″N 79°45′44″W / 41.999083°N 79.762100°W / 41.999083; -79.762100. (It's slighty north and west of where modern maps have the border.) It would be more accurate to say it's the southwesternmost point in New York State. The southern border of NY runs along the 42nd parallel, and the western border of Chautauqua County goes straight north from the corner up to Lake Erie. DYK for Barney Smith (artist)[edit]

On 14 August 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Barney Smith (artist), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Barney Smith (pictured) was a pastor before opening a museum at his home dedicated to toilet seat art? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Barney Smith (artist). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Barney Smith (artist)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Disambiguation link notification for October 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019 USL Championship Playoffs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daniel Ríos (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Shepherd football[edit]

Skudrafan1 Hello! I noticed you created a page for Shepherd University football teams 2016 season; I am not versed in creating new pages, but I do believe that perhaps a page should be created for their 2015 season as well, since they made it to the Division II championship. Is there any guidance you could provide for creating a new page for this? I appreciate your help! Spf121188 (talk) 21:49, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
