Is amateur-boxing.strefa.pl a reliable source?[edit]

Hi, I've noticed you are adding sources from the website amateur-boxing.strefa.pl to many articles about boxing. I'm concerned that this website is not a reliable source. It seems to me that this website is self-published and therefore not regarded as a reliable source by Wikipedia policy. If you disagree, please let me know why I should consider this website to be a reliable source according to the policies I have linked to.

I appreciate that you are passionate about this subject, so please understand I'm grateful for your efforts to improve the information available on Wikipedia, and many of your contributions are great! Perokema (talk) 11:32, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response on my talk page. I think that the sources (for example local newspapers) that are used by the site are more reliable sources for Wikipedia. In particular, based on the text on the main page of the website, it appears to be maintained by a single person. I think this lacks the editorial oversight required of a source on Wikipedia (see WP:QUESTIONED). If you have a personal connection to the website, you should be very careful that you are not adding it do drive traffic there (see WP:SPAM). Perokema (talk) 13:24, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I'm not trying to cause trouble :) Thanks for raising the question at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Boxing - I think that's the right thing to do. I appreciate I'm not in the boxing community. If the boxing project community can reach a consensus. then please go with that. Thanks! Perokema (talk) 09:46, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

October 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mako001. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Cosmin Contra that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. "Anon user stop pretending you are smarter than you actually are, know your place." "...by saying like a snowflake". These two comments weren't necessary, and fall afoul of WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 08:26, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you are the same person as User:Sebi1990 (which is fine, as you aren't breaking WP:SOCK), it might do to explicitly state the connection somewhere, either in the talkpage header or on your userpage. You don't need to, but it looks better if you do. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 08:39, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I already sincerely apologised in @Mako001:'s page, i do the same here. I am very sorry for my behaviour, will not happen again! --193.137.135.5 (talk) 11:34, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you very much for: 1 - replying; 2 - accepting my apologies, very classy of you. All the best to you in and out of WP, and message me if you need any help (i've been working here for 16 years, but still have not learned to write appropriate summaries every now and then!) --193.137.135.5 (talk) 08:10, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

https://premium.gsp.ro/gsp-special/reportaj/reportaj-exclusiv-horst-adolf-stumpf-a-murit-la-74-ani-gazeta-e-singurul-ziar-care-a-povestit-cu-boxerul-tortionar-care-il-teroriza-pe-scriitorul-paul-goma-553972.html Sebi1990TheSecond (talk) 19:49, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Question[edit]

Why does FC Politehnica Iași (2010) start with FC when the club doesn't have FC in its name? Shouldn't CSM be a better prefix? 46.212.188.94 (talk) 10:25, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

From what I know, the club is currently working to buy the name, brand and records of the old FC Politehnica Iași (1945). Either the club has already took on loan the "FC Politehnica Iași" name from the old club or the user who put the name on wikipedia knows that it is a matter of time until the club will have this name anyway so he wrote it like that.
