English grammar; links[edit]

I'm sorry to have to say this, but I've just reverted every one of your changes that hadn't already been reverted. There are two reasons:

You appear to have difficulty with English grammar and usage. I've restored a number of these articles to a condition in which they were written correctly.
You went on a small spree of removing perfectly ordinary and useful wikilinks (links to other articles) with the false edit summaries like "Remove advertising content". I've restored those links.

In particular, this edit to Alternatives, your edit summary says you "edited wrong spelling" but the words had been correct in US spelling. See MOS:ENGVAR about the choice of spelling to use in articles.

You should stop unlinking wikilinks for invalid reasons and fixing things that don't need to be fixed. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Largoplazo (talk) 12:00, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, there weren't. No need to wait till "next time" and no need for screenshots. Your contribution history gives access to the diffs for all of your edits. Your two edits with edit summaries mentioning advertising were this and this. In addition, this more recent edit of yours was simply wrong, replacing good English with bad English. In the case of this edit, the text really was missing a word before—but your edit was also not correct, so I've changed it. Finally, this edit was wrong. The language was correct before: something happens in a year, not on it. I'm sorry to be annoying about this, but if your knowledge of English grammar and usage is incomplete then, no matter how good your intentions are, your attempts to correct existing language, especially when it's already correct, aren't helpful, and they waste the time of others.
