If anything, it's the other way around. The notes were already there, and were then removed. This discussion had more people in favour of keeping the notes rather than removing them. In this discussion, it was stressed to "use the existing format on the article" (which was with notes, prior to the edit warring). Nehme1499 13:15, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

@Nehme1499: Neither of the two discussions resulted in a clear consensus for adding the notes so they didn't end up at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players where your WP:BOLD addition of the notes was reverted just two weeks ago ([1]). A Request for Comments was suggested to achieve a clear consensus for inclusion but it did not happen. Until then, we should stick to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 13:24, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
The edit summary is completely misleading, as I can count five editors in favour, two against. I'm not "claiming" the support of others. It's not a "clear" consensus, sure, but there is definitely more of a basis to adding them rather than removing. The MOS not having the notes doesn't override various editors agreeing that they should be included. Nehme1499 13:28, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
The second discussion you linked has another two against, Spike 'em reverted you at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players. That would make it 5–5. Until anyone can demonstrate clear consensus in favour of adding the notes, the MOS won't change. And the MOS represents what we have agreed upon in recent years. Quick question: why do you pipe this way ([[association football|footballer]]), rather than [[Association football|footballer]]? Nehme1499 13:22, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

@Nehme1499: I find it more readable to have the page title in the same case as the pipe. That's the advantage and there's no disadvantage that I'm aware of as "the first letter of a page title (after the namespace prefix) is never case-sensitive" (WP:NOPIPE). Issues with Fodbold-fan

I have had repeated issues with user:Fodbold-fan today. He has reverted my edits to Asbjørn Gaarde now three times without explaining what issue he has with my edits. I have left two notes on his talk page, both identical (he deleted the first one without explanation), which explained why I made the edits I did and why his reverting of them was improper. I'm not sure exactly what to do at this point, as I don't want to get into an edit war with someone who clearly doesn't care about the rules or standard editing practice. Although he has now blanked his entire He's now blanked his entire talk page, I saw that you have had issues with the same user previously, so I thought I'd drop a note here to see if you had any ideas. I appreciate your help in advance. Anwegmann (talk) 21:24, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

@Anwegmann: Thanks for reaching out. In my experience, explaining one's changes in edit summaries is good but sometimes not enough. Sometimes it is necessary to discuss the points of contention in more detail on a Talk page. I'm glad GS initiated a discussion at Talk:Asbjørn Gaarde. As the discussion shows, we don't have any policies and guidelines at hand that would find either of you clearly being right on the issue and render further discussion unnecessary. But with others editors weighing in like Iggy did, I'm sure ye will arrive at a decent solution. :-) Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:35, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
I appreciate it. Your response here is decidedly more engaging and approachable than GS's, which isn't surprising. Situations like this are frustrating, but I think it's getting sorted. Thanks, again. Anwegmann (talk) 22:40, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for the kind words. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:51, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

Some minor additions needed, you very well removed the update template in chart below (as player has retired), but forgot to add the statistical rows from 2018 to 2021.

I see...no prob! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 15:17, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

I suppose here you will be able to pitch in ;)

i guess you can call this vandalism (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%C3%81lex_Fern%C3%A1ndez&diff=1069301594&oldid=1053760742), IP writing Elche CF was in third tier when they knew very well club was in the second! I reverted them, but that did not solve the problem; additionally, I tried to add the row myself but failed miserably :(

Thanks in advance, enjoy the rest of your week --193.137.135.2 (talk) 10:24, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi. I reckon, that IP edit was a good-faith attempt at fixing the table. After I standardised the table's layout and formatting the table was broken as the league was missing for the Elche season (see the mess after my edit). They probably just got the tier wrong.
The reason why your change broke the table layout is that you included rowspan="3" for the league which meant that "Segunda División" spanned three rows when it should span just the one row for his single season at Elche. Removing that bit fixed the issue (diff). Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 10:52, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Indeed, maybe i jumped the gun again (accusations of vandalism), i do admit if one could have below-zero tolerance I would definitely top that table, i really gotta calm down and AGF more (at least SOME!). WP does need more people like you, and less like me (at least with this attitude of mine), take care --193.137.135.2 (talk) 10:58, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

See Hanlon's razor. "Stupidity" would be a bit harsh, getting the tier wrong could happen to anyone, but you get the idea… ;-) Robby.is.on (talk) 11:09, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Well observed, kind sir! Now, for more help if you can: i think i updated Fernando Llorente correctly, but totals don't add up :( --193.137.135.2 (talk) 12:02, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Harry Toffolo

The complete histories should now be at Harry Toffolo and Talk:Harry Toffolo? GiantSnowman 12:21, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Teamwork?

I did my bit at Rubén Miño, are you willing to "take it up a notch" and adjust the stat chart as habitually? Please note (to save you some trouble) that the only seasons that need differentiation between regular season and play-offs are 2009/10 (17+3 in apps instead of 20) and 2019/20 (should you wish to update table thoroughly, of course, 27+1).

Kind regards, thanks in advance and take care! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 11:08, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

Done. Thanks for the hints. :-) Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 13:40, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

If you could lend a hand here that would be cool... I have already apologised to the other user in the edit summary field, but they continue, now adding the full names of clubs in the headlines. Not a vandal no sir (so i guess my pertinent edit summary was indeed way out of line), but this is a gross case of WP:CIR.

Attentively, have a nice week --193.137.135.2 (talk) 11:19, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

What do you need help with? You too, Robby.is.on (talk) 12:24, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

As of now, current version seems to have been accepted, so no help from you required. It's just the other user accused me of REMOVING stuff when i did no such thing (merely CLEANED UP after them); they also messed with the ref format and insists (insisted?) on putting full names of clubs in the headlines, also repeating that M.O. when a given club is mentioned in wording. --193.137.135.2 (talk) 13:05, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

NEWSFLASH: looking better, i now realised i did remove some of the refs they added; it was not intentional, but i still presented my apologies to the user (and have reinstated them, with the proper display!) --193.137.135.2 (talk) 13:42, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Sounds good. They're clearly editing in good faith. If we're kind to them and give them time to get acquainted with our WP:FOOTY conventions like shortening club names in headings, we might soon have a new regular editor and we do need new editors. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 13:48, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Not saying it's an open-and-shut case of WP:COI, but just found out there is a Portuguese sports company with the same name of the user (https://empower-sports.com/about/), of which this guy seems to be the main CEO. Not saying anything foul is afoot, just leaving it to your consideration. All i know is that, after i told the user we do not write stuff like "be a sensation", "the club surpassed expectations" (who? Braga? They have been finishing fourth since forever - as in 2015/16 under Mr. Fonseca, the year the user claims they "surpassed expectations"; heck, in 2009/10 they even finished SECOND!), they wrote it again (another user reverted it in the meantime).

Take care! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 10:53, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Looks very much like WP:COI. I have posted a notice to their Talk page. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:27, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Ihor Dybchenko and Shinji Yamada

Hi, you are right by rules, but it's sometimes trying regarding a "selective application of rules". So I wrote "respect". But I don't want to devalue your contribution to the project. This was more regarding my not too wise disput with an anonymous user (see "Revision history" to the article) who tried to portray this person as a victim of the war and didn't accepted, that his notability is based on other. And English sources weren't given, because I didn't found them (save the transfermarkt, that isn't counting as a "reliable source"). sorry for my fault, that this dispute has spread to you--Noel baran (talk) 12:18, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

Hi @Noel baran: No problem. Non-English sources are okay, too, I think. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 13:58, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
Likewise you!--Noel baran (talk) 16:36, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

Man, if i did not know you any better, i'd think that you were actually scolding me for improving the article tenfold ;) Just a minor lapse of memory, and it's going to take me sometime to get adjusted to that guideline (i prefer two sections, either CLUB and INT'L CAREER or PLAYING and COACHING CAREER).

Sorry for the inconvenience (on an unrelated note, could you please fix Zé Castro's stat chart? Totals seem a bit way off), regards back --193.137.135.2 (talk) 13:57, 19 April 2022 (UTC)

Hi! I hadn't taken a closer look at the other changes you made. What jumped at me were the headings. But good work adding references. :-)
Should be good now? Robby.is.on (talk) 14:17, 19 April 2022 (UTC)

1 - no worries; 2 - mighty fine, thanks (i'm going to update wording now, chap has just announced retirement, following this historic club's first-ever relegation to the third tier)! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 14:42, 19 April 2022 (UTC)

Ways to improve Achim Hollerieth

Hello, Robby.is.on,

Thank you for creating Achim Hollerieth.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article - about a youthful sports player - needs to meet general notability. What is needed are references significant coverage SIGCOV about this sports participant, and independent of it, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact referred to, that meet these tough criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the topic is not suitable for inclusion. Kindly do the needful. Thank you.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Whiteguru (talk) 21:23, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

@Whiteguru: Hollerieth is not a "youthful sports player", he is a former professional footballer who played dozens of matches in the 2. Bundesliga. But thanks for giving me the necessary push to expand the article. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 21:49, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

A tough one...

...not for you of course (related to title of message)! Óscar Melendo: not saying it was on purpose and/or vandalism of course, but the 180.252.155.3 IP really went to town on that chart, i tried to adjust the maths to the best of my abilities but it still "don't" seem to add up :(

No need for two Espanyol rows because it was not the reserve side who played in the 2020–21 Segunda División as the IP implied, but the main squad! Also, if you like to add a row for Espanyol B (2016–17 Segunda División B, 24 matches and 1 goal) you can, that one is also covered by Soccerway :)

Many thanks in advance, enjoy that Wochenende! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 14:39, 21 April 2022 (UTC)

I've seen much worse… :-D At least the table wasn't broken. Should be good now. Robby.is.on (talk) 17:19, 21 April 2022 (UTC)

Again, my wiki-tongue getting the best of me, no defence whatsoever (i'll only say i lose it whenever i see boxes all scrambled up). I'll add that i'm being more hysterical than downright belligerent, but not excusing myself no sir! Thanks for the (particular) advice and patience AGAIN. --193.137.135.2 (talk) 18:26, 21 April 2022 (UTC)

  • Another one, if you can: Stephen Eustáquio, just added his semi-final appearance in the Taça de Portugal, and those totals are (seemingly?) as off as can be! Man, i don't have the patience (nor the skills, LOL) to sort that out, but that's why WP is a collaborative effort :)

Enjoy that weekend (ours is a little bigger this time, due to this!), thanks in advance --193.137.135.2 (talk) 14:26, 22 April 2022 (UTC)

Done. Seems like it was just one number that was wrong? Enjoy your long weekend! :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 09:42, 23 April 2022 (UTC)

National team competitions format

Hi, Robbie, as you left me recently a message on my talk page, it's obvious that you have a long experience in football articles so I want to know something about competitition tables: in cases like FIFA_World_Cup#Results, and after taking a look at WP:Footy:competitions, I saw that elements such as the Template:Fb-big or the intercalated light blue background are a bit overwhelming and could be avoided making a simpler table with no such profusion of graphic elements, p.e. using the Template:Fb with no background colors (unless it is necessary to indicate some particular details of the competition).

My question is, the big flags and light blue backgrounds are mandatory? Its use was decided by consensus? Should they be used in all national team articles? .... Anything you can explain to clarify my doubts, will be welcome. Regards and thanks in advance, Fma12 (talk) 15:24, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi @Fma12:. I do have a lot of experience in the area of football but mostly with player articles. I'm not familiar with what you are asking about. I'd encourage you to post your question to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 17:09, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

MuseScore.com

Hi @Robby.is.on The site refers to itself as MuseScore.com, e.g. https://musescore.com/groups/improving-musescore-com The website is https://musescore.com, but the site is also called (and styled as) MuseScore.com

One of the problems of the MuseScore community is that the .org and .com separation is not as clear as it could be. I tried creating a MuseScore.com page but it was deleted as not being noteworthy enough (I am not a very experienced editor).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Riaanvn#Speedy_deletion_nomination_of_MuseScore.com

Not sure if this is something that you can assist with / be involved in. Have you declared your MuseScore involvement? After a recent edit, my page was deleted and I was asked to point out any conflict of interest. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Riaanvn#Managing_a_conflict_of_interest

which I have, at the top of the MuseScore talk page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:MuseScore

regards. Riaanvn (talk) 15:04, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi @Riaanvn:. Thanks for your message. WP:MOSTITLE led me to assume capitalisation of URLs was always wrong. But I just looked up what Wikipedia's guidelines and policies state and found MOS:DOMAINNAME: "Use camelcase to make a displayed domain more readable, e.g. WashingtonPost.com versus washingtonpost.com." For that reason, I have self-reverted my change of capitalisation. Sorry about that.
One of the problems of the MuseScore community is that the .org and .com separation is not as clear as it could be. Yeah, I'm well aware of that issue. :-) Have you declared your MuseScore involvement? No, my edits to the MuseScore article have been very minor. If you want to make larger changes to MuseScore-related pages outside the MuseScore article – creating a an article for the website would definitely fall into that category – you probably also need to disclose COI on your user page as WP:DISCLOSE suggests.
I tried creating a MuseScore.com page but it was deleted as not being noteworthy enough As I understand it the reviewer did not comment on whether the article could be notable but stated that the article did not demonstrate notability. That differentiation may seem pedantic but the point is that notability is established through "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" (WP:GNG). That means a newly created article will hardly ever pass review if it doesn't have such citations.
If you want give the musescore.com article another shot I would suggest gathering references that cover the website. Help:Your first article says: "We generally judge [notability] by asking if there are at least three high-quality sources that a) have substantial discussion of the subject (not just a mention) and b) are written and published independently of the subject (so, a company's website or press releases are not OK). Everything here is based on high-quality independent sources, and without them, we generally just cannot write an article." Help:Your first article has a lot of good advice. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 15:54, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

Hello wikifriend, hopefully all well with you!

I just took the time to confirm this chap's league stats (per both SW and MAISFUTEBOL), so they're pretty much correct now. But totals seem totally off, would you lend a hand please? Oh, and that "other" appearance for Benfica (i already told you i do not know how to insert those notes below the chart) is in the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League.

Have a nice weekend and (i doubt it, but...) whistle if you need anything from me wikiwise :) --193.137.135.2 (talk) 08:42, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

LOL indeed!

Hi there man,

could you please update Jason (Spanish footballer)'s chart (La Liga season over, by the way)? I keep reverting/getting reverted because the other user sees 22 Valencia CF appearances in the infobox and mistakes those for the 22 he had in all competitions for the same club; either that or they see the OUT-OF-DATE chart below and think 17+1 is correct, when in fact he had 17+5 in the league for the aforementioned side.

Thanks in advance, kind regards and take care --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:18C5:CD31:C170:A0B (talk) 21:48, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi. Yeah, misunderstandings happen, we've all been there. I've updated the table. Robby.is.on (talk) 21:56, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Profiting from your great work, i also corrected two things (mistakes happen to the best, and you, sir, are one of them wiki-wise! You work and do not bitch, whereas i work like a horse but also seem quite unhinged if i'm not that already); he did not appear for Alavés in the cup, nor did he score in the league (and move was not a loan, but i assume that stemmed from fact you copy/pasted the last row).

Please let me know if my changes were well made. Cheers! --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:18C5:CD31:C170:A0B (talk) 22:17, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for the corrections. I rushed too much. Robby.is.on (talk) 22:32, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
Comment - I have been checking the search bar to see if there are any other footballers who are commonly known as just "Jason". I went on this page and found out we only have the one footballer with that common name. Not sure if there was another footballer named Jason on Wikipedia when the page was moved back in 2018, which I agree with. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:11, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi Robby - hope you are well. Thanks for fixing the overlinking here. I think WP:EGG is also relevant too, but I could be wrong! There might be a bigger MOS guide somewhere about these types of links. A bug-bear of mine is seeing something like Austria piped to "Austria under Nazi control" (or similar wording) on biographies. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:43, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Regarding Honeysuckle Weeks

Regarding my update on Honeysuckle Weeks, it was partly to remove erronous info - such as TV work listed that not only did she not appear in, but does not even seem to of existed, such as Queen's Shilling, and Ladies & Gentlemen - but also to tidy it up and put it in order, as the detail regarding her TV career was a bit all over the place. As to adding reference, I only had time to add my info when I wrote it, and had planned to look for and add reference points later on. Much of the info I had supplied can be found on IMDB, I just wished to get it in order. Thank you though for letting me know why it had been removed for now.--Fluff81 (talk) 21:49, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi @Fluff81:. Thanks for the explanation. Removing inaccuracies is great as is tidying up. Feel free to reinstate those changes.
We cannot add content without references, however, per Wikipedia:Verifiability, and IMDb does not seem to be considered a reliable source according to WP:IMDb and Wikipedia:Citing IMDb. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 13:01, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. I shall see if I can reinstate my changes, and look for references via the wiki library sometime tomorrow. And thanks also for the heads up regarding IMDB. I shall keep that in mind. Thank you again. Fluff81 (talk) 22:37, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Thanks a lot, @Lugnuts:. :-) Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 08:16, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Pray do tell, kind fellow user: 1 JULY 2022 now, why are we still not allowed to say he's an Olympiacos player?

Kind regards. --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:E1FF:5F0E:67A0:C183 (talk) 08:01, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

I'm sorry, didn't mean to revert both changes. Fixed! Robby.is.on (talk) 08:02, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

Ah, gotcha! All good now :) --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:E1FF:5F0E:67A0:C183 (talk) 08:17, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

I detected you "Standardise" a certain table layout. Why career statistics rather than international goals if this certain table is a list of his international goals and not of his career statistics? Also, why jeopardize the power of the rowspan? Without them, the page becomes heavier and weighty, and the table becomes less aesthetically pleasing, even though it becomes more ergonomically viable and friendly for the casual curious people.

Regards of kind. Barr Theo (talk) 20:11, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

@Barr Theo: Hi.
  • rowspan: the relevant discussion is linked at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players: "per this talk page discussion, venues, opponents and competitions should not be rowspanned across different matches. Instead, they should be rowspanned within the same match." Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, I guess. ;-)
  • heading: "Career statistics" is the top level heading for career statistics. If there are statistics for both the club and international careers of player, we use the sub-headings "Club and "International". We also used to have an "International goals" sub-heading but it is no more. The relevant discussion is not linked at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players but you can search for it the Talk page archives at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Players. RM

Hey Robby, long time no talk. Could you please take a look at the RM on Raphinha (footballer, born 1996)? Perhaps close the discussion? You're uninvolved and it's been sitting there for days with a clear consensus. Thanks! Paul Vaurie (talk) 09:21, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

@Paul Vaurie: Hi Paul, nice to hear from you. I've never closed a discussion before and I don't feel comfortable doing that, sorry. I hope it gets closed soon. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:38, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: No problem! Cheers, Paul Vaurie (talk) 12:34, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Mr. Statman

Álvaro Rey, if you please... his playoff stats are in the regular season row instead of the former, could you please lend a hand? Here are the pointers to save you trouble: Murcia is 4 apps regular season + 1 app in the 2015 Segunda División B play-offs; Mirandés is 37 apps/4 goals in regular season, plus 5/2 in the 2019 Segunda División B play-offs.

I honestly have no idea if all apps in the Major League Soccer are in regular season. Thanks a million in advance, enjoy that weekend! --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:E1F6:25DF:2C3:EBCA (talk) 19:14, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Done! :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 20:32, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Thanks! I'm not sure if any changes will be needed in totals (i made some, but most likely i got them wrong!) but, like i said in one of my latest summaries, both BDF and SW give him 44 matches for AD Alcorcón (13+25+6=44), dunno where you got 45 from.

Cheers again --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:E1F6:25DF:2C3:EBCA (talk) 22:23, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

I got 26 appearances for one of the seasons because I got the "Age" and "PM" rows mixed up. Thanks for correcting the mistake. The totals should be fine. Robby.is.on (talk) 06:56, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Carlos Peña (Spanish footballer): don't know about the rest, but 19+4 apps for FC Goa certainly does not equal 24 :) Already took care of wording/categories/etc, your turn now if you wish! Ah (also regarding his Goa spell), SW mentions nothing in the cups department, but the source i just added for his recent appointment mentions 44 total appearances.

Enjoy that weekend, take care! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 17:19, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

I don't know of a better source for appearances in India than Soccerway, I'm afraid. I checked Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Links, nothing there. So I just removed cup appearances for now. Some totals were wrong also.
One more day to go, Friday happens to be my longest at work… Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 18:59, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Fran Rico, if you please, play-off stuff in regular season again. To save you some trouble, some details: Pontevedra CF: 3 games/one goal first season, 22/1 second season and 35/1 in the last; Real Madrid Castilla: 3/1 first season, 18/4 second season and 29/5 in the last, the rest are Segunda División B playoffs (3 for Pontevedra, 2 for Castilla). Also, if you want to update the chart up until his retirement, he played one match in the 2018–19 Segunda División before that ;) Copa del Rey appearances: it's FIVE not THREE for Pontevedra (one goal), SIX for Granada (one goal) and FIVE for Eibar.

NOTE: if you again decide to rely solely on BDFUTBOL as source, please at least keep SOCCERWAY as an external link, it's additional info and not too much overkill. Kind regards, thanks in advance! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 18:47, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

All done. Thanks for checking the numbers. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 21:01, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Another one, if you can assist: Juande, just noticed there were several Copa del Rey appearances missing, but i admit i was too lazy (dumb?) to have a go at the totals (matter of fact is i don't even know if they were correct to begin with!).

Kind regards --193.137.135.2 (talk) 17:08, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Better now? Robby.is.on (talk) 20:52, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Of course, great as always! Keep it up :) --193.137.135.2 (talk) 13:28, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Another one! Álvaro Cejudo: Copa del Rey appearances seem to be fine, but Racing de Santander's stuff is mixed (regular season/playoffs, it's: 26/5 in the first year (2/0 in playoffs). Also, if you want to update until his retirement - happened in 2021 - he played 23 matches in his last year, none in Cup). Speaking of playoff stuff, he only had those for Racing and Ceuta, so this one should be a breeze for you...

Kind regards, many thanks in advance again :) --193.137.135.2 (talk) 17:57, 8 July 2022 (UTC) NEWSFLASH: here (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Juanito_(footballer,_born_1954)&diff=1097094257&oldid=1097079320), tried to embrace WP:FOOTY guidelines regarding honours, was reverted without one word! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 18:01, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

Okay, in the table I addressed the issues you mentioned. I didn't look for other incorrect numbers beyond that. It's been a long day… :-)
I've reverted them citing Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players. What usually works for me when there's a disagreement over content with an established editor – I've seen Mishary94 around – is 1. explicitly citing and linking relevant guidelines, policies or (as in this case) manuals of style in edit summaries and, sometimes, 2. explaining in detail on their Talk page. Robby.is.on (talk) 18:19, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

Domingos Duarte, just found a glaring mistake in his Deportivo de La Coruña stats (sums). Could you please have a quick go at the totals? The thing that baffles me the most is that, in the vast majority of this type of charts, only SOME clubs have their totals in bold, not ALL; never understood that one :( --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:F185:8F0F:E370:601B (talk) 01:01, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

The numbers at Domingos Duarte look fine to me? We don't add a "total" row for single seasons if that's what you mean? Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 07:01, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

Ah, i see...Yes, that was what i meant, thanks for the helping hand as always! --2001:8A0:767B:9C00:58B8:3DEA:AC2:347F (talk) 10:25, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

Jerusalem Post

I think the Jerusalem Post is unreliable. Would u mind saying why u think it is reliable so we could conclude how to deal with that source on Caan's article? It seems like a good step since there's no policy regarding it on that list u linked Stephanie921 (talk) 00:01, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

@Stephanie921: 1. It's not a tabloid, I believe. 2. I don't have any information that would suggest it's unreliable. 3. It's not listed as unreliable at WP:RSP. Why do you think it is unreliable? Robby.is.on (talk) 00:16, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Argumentum ad populum

is quite fallacious, I'm told.

In case you aren't following along...3 people can all be wrong about something. *SHOCKER* 76.181.201.214 (talk) 09:46, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

That is true. I'm talking about the Wikipedia policy, Wikipedia:Consensus. Please read it if you haven't yet. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:49, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
It isn't followed by contributors on here, sadly. Trying to gain consensus on eating lamb for dinner is easy for wolves, but not for the lamb. 76.181.201.214 (talk) 09:58, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
That's not my experience. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:05, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
Ahh, the anecdotal fallacy. Which one's on deck? 76.181.201.214 (talk) 10:15, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
I would reckon your experience is as much anecdotal as mine. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:17, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
On wiki, I would reckon it isn't. But don't take my word for it. Maybe try wikipedia's co-founder Larry Sanger. [1] 76.181.201.214 (talk) 10:31, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
Larry Sanger: "In an August 2021 interview with The Sunday Times of London, Sanger objected to Wikipedia's description of alternative medicines, such as homeopathy, as "pseudoscience".", "In an earlier tweet, Sanger falsely claimed that COVID-19 vaccines are "not a vaccine"." He seems to be scientifically illiterate. I wouldn't attribute too much weigh to what he says. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:12, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

This user wants to stop global warming

I bet many other users who live in the United Kingdom may well put that user box on their user pages. The 2022 United Kingdom heat wave page claims it should not last much longer thankfully but the whole world needs to reverse that warming trend before it is too late. Just as well users like you seem to contribute in the cooler parts of the day like during the night I've noticed recently re "Standardise layout...".

I can't remember much about the 2003 European heat wave (because it happened 19 years ago), which appears to be an early warning that the planet may have to face in the future. Either way, I am certainly not a fan of extreme weather in Great Britain so something needs to be done properly to avoid events like this from happening again. I'm sure we will continue the good work on Wikipedia as part of the everyday life. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 17:27, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for your message, @Iggy the Swan:. Global warming – or heating, rather – is an existential threat. I think I might reduce my Wikipedia editing in favour of activism in favour of climate action soon. As NASA scientist Peter Kalmus puts it: "I wish everyone on Earth knew how genuinely "off the charts" key planetary trends are right now, and how abnormal and critical it is. Things like atmospheric CO2 fraction, heat extremes on land and ocean, biodiversity loss and extinction rates. All alarms should be going off". (https://twitter.com/ClimateHuman/status/1547994520972718086) Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 18:02, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
Plenty of those would be going off. Peter Kalmus makes a very important point and it is just recent that the post was published. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 19:55, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
