Deletion discussion about Cloudwear[edit]

Hello, Redfhendrix,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Cloudwear should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cloudwear .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Hi, User:Redfhendrix. As the administrator closing out this listing, I just wanted to pop in and say that this notice must have been very confusing. :) Having been advised to copy the source yourself, you might understandably be puzzled to have it blanked for copyright concerns. What the template above doesn't explain is that content on Wikipedia is copyrighted; it is simply liberally relicensed for reuse. Ordinarily, you can't copy pages from one Wikipedia page to another without following the directions at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. However, you were the person who placed all this content on Wikipedia to begin with. As you do not surrender your copyright in the text you add, you have the right to use it elsewhere without additional attribution. I've restored the sandbox.
While I'm here, I just wanted to be sure that the AFD had been clear. Prior to moving this back into article space, you need to be able to demonstrate that the company meets WP:ORG. This may not be possible yet. The way this is done is by including multiple references that discuss the company in depth. Press releases and official sites cannot be used to establish notability, so this, for instance, would not count as a source for establishing that. This would, but is not sufficient in isolation. Essentially, Wikipedia's purpose is to neutrally summarize what reliable, unconnected sources say about notable subjects. If sources have not yet had much to say, we don't cover the subject. :) Wikipedia:The answer to life, the universe, and everything may also be helpful.
Please note that if you have a financial connection to this company, it may not be appropriate for you to create this article in article space. Please review WP:COI if that's the case. Under the current wmf:Terms of Use, you are required to identify your connection. See specifically "Refraining from Certain Activities".
If you have general questions about working on Wikipedia, and you have not already, I'd recommend a visit to the Wikipedia:Teahouse, which is meant to be a welcoming environment for newcomers. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:51, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Cloudwear Logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Cloudwear Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:16, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Cloudwear, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Redfhendrix. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Cloudwear".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Cloudwear}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 17:19, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
