Blaine Anderson[edit]

Hey, Rcej! ;) Would you be up to reviewing Blaine Anderson? HorrorFan121 (talk) 03:49, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cool... sure! :) Rcej (Robert) - talk 04:41, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lauren Zizes[edit]

Hey again! I just did a major expansion on Lauren Zizes, and took it to GAN. Would you be willing to review it? The article is relatively shorter than most of the Glee character articles, but I think it has GA potential none the less. HorrorFan121 (talk) 17:57, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I grabbed it... it may be late Sun. or so before I start tho :) Thx for the heads up! Rcej (Robert)talk 03:10, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! Oh, and that's perfectly okay. There's no rush on it. ;) HorrorFan121 (talk) 19:06, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there! I just nominated Terri Schuester for GA status. Would you be interesting in reviewing if you're not busy? HorrorFan121 (talk) 00:36, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Grabbed it! I hope she's on more often next season... Rcej (Robert)talk 02:40, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, thanks for taking it on! ;) Unfortunately, Gilsig was bumped down to a recurring player for season three, which is depressing because I like her. HorrorFan121 (talk) 03:20, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Brittany Pierce[edit]

I just completed Brittany Pierce. There's a serious backlog at WP:GAN though. Could you possibly take it on? HorrorFan121 (talk) 05:00, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello... love me some Brittany! Rcej (Robert)talk 05:30, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for nominating the article. I enjoyed writing it.
It all came about after reading a most interesting book from the public library entitled "The Northwest Coast: A natural history." When I borrowed the book I thought it was going to be about northwest UK, where I live, but it turned out to be about the US and has stimulated me to write or add to several articles on interesting species that I had not encountered before. DYK problem[edit]

The DYK nomination system has changed and new nominations are supposed to be saved on their own subpages, not directly on T:TDYK; the subpage is then supposed to be linked to from T:TDYK. Therefore, this new nomination you posted is incorrect. Please re-nominate by following the instructions at T:TDYK. Thank you, rʨanaɢ (talk) 00:24, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I went ahead and fixed it. Please review my edits to make sure you understand how this works. Here I created the nomination at its subpage (the page you were taken to when you clicked the "Create nomination" button at T:TDYK). Here I posted the nomination page to T:TDYK. If you have ever participated in WP:AFD or WP:MFD, you will find the process is very similar to those. rʨanaɢ (talk) 00:29, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Finn Hudson[edit]

Hey, Robert. Do you think you could possibly hold off a little bit on reviewing Finn Hudson? BlueMoonset left me a message on my talk page that I didn't receive after nominating. He wants to add a little bit more content to the article first. Would that be okay? HorrorFan121 (talk) 08:10, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay ;) Rcej (Robert)talk 08:27, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Robert. BlueMoonset here. Since I'm the spanner in the works, I thought I should let you know I'm still working on Finn Hudson. While the new Accolades section is done, the one for Musical performances section is taking longer than I thought to finish, though I posted the initial paragraphs today. I need to search out a lot more in the way of critical response to the music (and associated references), which should take a couple more days at least, unfortunately. I was wondering whether, while you're waiting, you'd like to take on reviewing the "Furt" article, which I just nominated for GA. Either way, thanks for all you do for WP:GLEE! BlueMoonset (talk) 22:25, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there...no rush with Frankenteen ;) Meanwhile, I'll be glad to do Furt.. champion Gleek here! Rcej (Robert)talk 02:46, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Glad that Frankenteen can loom in the corner for a while. :-)
"Furt" is my first GA nomination, so I'm not sure about the etiquette. Since you're adding copyedits to bring it up to standard, if I see something you've done that I'd like to modify further, can I suggest or even make the change, or should I leave the text untouched? In this case, it occurred to me that your change to "; but Sue's self wedding" could be further improved to read ", but Sue's wedding to herself". Is this the sort of thing I ought to suggest here, or just make the edit myself...and if you don't like it, fix it further? Thanks for your patience. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:22, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I only edit one section at a time during a review so I won't edit conflict as easily; so please feel free to ce anything after I save in that section :) Perfectly ok... please be assertive during any review! Good reviewers always respect that! Rcej (Robert)talk 06:37, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! That's very good to know. I've just put through that one edit at the beginning—I figured that had the most danger of conflict, since there's no way to do it as a section. The rest looks great so far. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:55, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Robert, thank you so much for finishing "Furt" so quickly. It's my first GA, so I'm enjoying a bit of a glow right now. I haven't forgotten Finn Hudson; I finally finished the "Musical performances" section tonight, though I need to take a look at it in the fresh light of day. All that's left is finding another three or four items for the "Critical response" section, and I had located a very good one a couple of minutes before I checked my watchlist to see that you'd just finished "Furt". I'm hoping Finn will be ready for your tender ministrations on the morrow. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:31, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
...and Finn Hudson is done. I've asked HorrorFan121 (who nominated the article) and Frickative to take a look at the new "Musical performances" section and the added material in the last two paragraphs of "Critical response". If you want to get started on your review, though, the entire introduction and the "Development" and "Storylines" sections are completely stable, the entire first half of the article. I don't think much will change in the last two sections, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. I'll post again here as soon as they give me the final all clear on those. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:53, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've gotten the go-ahead from both of them after a few more edits, and just completed a few final fixes myself. You can resume work on Frankenteen at any time; we're done with the upgrades. Thanks for your patience! BlueMoonset (talk) 20:30, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Glee GANs[edit]

Robert, I thought I should let you know that Frickative just submitted at GAN for "Duets" (which will be number 50), and I'll be submitting boring 51, "Special Education", in the next day or two. I see that you already have one nomination on your plate, but in case you're willing to take on another one (or two), I thought I'd let you know that one is available now, with another on its way. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 17:47, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing...glad to ;) Rcej (Robert)talk 05:34, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for picking up "Duets"! I've got one more thing to research and add to "Special Education". Once that's done, it'll be my second GAN. BlueMoonset (talk) 08:01, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Later: I just nominated "Special Education", so it's available when you want it. ;-) BlueMoonset (talk) 19:31, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for starting work on "Special Education" so quickly! I hope you like working on it... and I hope I didn't leave too many "ing" words to change. (At least I remembered to get rid of the contractions.) After your change in the final sentence of the Plot section, I decided to reword it: there was an ambiguity with the collective noun "glee club", which normally should be singular, but the sentence used "their" several words later. I think "performs" can now be used successfully given the structural modifications. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:57, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I'll finish tonight... my attention got hijacked by high school peeps and a sea urchin ;) Rcej (Robert)talk 07:41, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks! I saw the sea urchin, and fixed a couple of formatting glitches while I was there. (I was puzzled why the infobox had some classification variants in parentheses and some not, but felt I could safely make sure the one source that used them was consistent in its usage.) BlueMoonset (talk) 14:40, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's been a while, but I thought I should let you know that a couple of Glee episode articles are in their final stages, and at least one should be ready to be submitted as a GAN in the next day or two, if all goes well. I hope they fit into your schedule. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 06:37, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I'll makes 'em fit ;) Rcej (Robert)talk 07:29, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Get ready to squeeze in an entire prom, then, or at least a "Prom Queen". I just threw the switch. :D BlueMoonset (talk) 17:18, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Later: Thanks for picking it up! BlueMoonset (talk) 05:51, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That was so wonderfully quick. Thank you so much! We each have another GA to our credit. You've inspired me, so "New York" is finished in draft, and is now in Frickative's hands for some needed editing. And Frickative's pretty close to finishing an episode herself. With any luck, you'll see at least one episode in the GAN queue tomorrow or the next day. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:57, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You're writing 'em so well, there's not much to fondle! lol I'll be ready. Rcej (Robert)talk 06:05, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It turns out that Frickative was away for a few days, and is only just now back. The question at this point is whether she works her magic tomorrow on "New York" or the newly upgraded article on Burt Hummel first, so they can be submitted for a GAN (and how long it takes to work said magic). :-) I hope we have something for you to review soon! BlueMoonset (talk) 04:41, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And... it's Burt Hummel that gets the nod! And on a day when Friday the 13th falls on a Tuesday: that's got to be a guarantee of something or other. ;-) Thanks as always for taking a look. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:19, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Later: to my shock and surprise, Aranea Mortem got there first! So I'm working on fixing the GAN requests, and should be done shortly. Sorry it wasn't there for you after getting your expectations raised. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:05, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Quite okay! It's good for you to work with many reviewers anyway...it'll broaden your peep base..lol. So excited, my Glee season 2 DVDs arrived today!! Yay! Rcej (Robert)talk 03:47, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, each reviewer seems to hone in on different overall issues. Congrats on getting those DVDs. I need to get out and pick up Season 2, Volume 2. Among other things, it'll make working on "Rumours" and "Funeral" that much easier. (And possibly aid clean-up on "New York" as well.) Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 04:04, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Frickative has put "Never Been Kissed" out for a GAN. Since Burt was snatched from you two days agone, I felt I should let you know that there's another Glee article in the pipeline for you if you get there fast enough. ;-) BlueMoonset (talk) 02:44, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nominations[edit]

Although it is very nice having articles I write nominated for DYK, I don't want to overdo things to the exclusion of other worthy articles (13 of my articles appeared in August). With regard to Pagurus prideaux and Adamsia palliata, they're fine as a double hook but I don't consider the hermit crab article worthy in its own right for a single hook. Do you agree? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:07, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, without both, neither article had a hook to speak of; but the association of the two organisms is fascinating and deserving of DYK! Seriously, natural science articles are valuable; your articles are deserving, and articles that promote science should be in the DYK section of Wik as often as possible. We have generations of young people that need exposure to the biological sciences particularly. :) Rcej (Robert)talk 02:30, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I don't know if you know this but when you tag an article for speedy deletion, you're suppose to copy the text under "This page was last edited by Rcej (contribs | logs)" and warn the user with that copied text. Have a nice day, SwisterTwister talk 07:33, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

September 2011[edit]

Hello Rcej. Thanks for patrolling new pages - it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know however, regarding Ruben Silitongan, that tagging articles for speedy deletion moments after creation as lacking context (CSD A1) or content (CSD A3), and articles being created through Article Wizard, is too fast. It's best to wait at least 10 - 15 minutes for more content to be added, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), and copyright violations (G12) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.

Cind.amuse (Cindy) 08:11, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'd add blatant spam to that - "We are the top reseller of used fish in Dunsailing and we challenge anyone to prove otherwise!!!" and so on. Peridon (talk) 13:17, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've declined your speedy request. It doesn't look like a hoax to me, but if you have evidence that it is, let me know. This individual isn't mentioned at http://dorjipenjore.blogspot.com/, but others in the position are. (I know it's at blogspot, but it's too much and too detailed to be a complete hoax.) As to the notability of this reincarnation, I comment not. Peridon (talk) 13:15, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much![edit]

What a lovely thing it was to find a Gleek Banner on my talk page yesterday. Thank you!

As it happens, I'm a he, not a she. Should I change the text to reflect that, or is it Not Done to edit such gifts?

Speaking of gifts, I'm about to GAN "New York". I thought the least I could do is give back, so I'm letting you know directly. :-) BlueMoonset (talk) 04:05, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're very welcome, sir dude! ;) Seriously, I was snooping in your contribs list; wow!! You've done tremendous work for Glee on Wiki in the relatively short time you've been here. It is sooooo appreciated! :) Now, I must recover from Quinn Fabray: The Biker Years! lol Rcej (Robert)talk 05:04, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of Codium tomentosum[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Codium tomentosum at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Advice on first DYK?[edit]

Robert, I've just submitted my very first DYK, and was wondering if you could take a look and let me know whether it looks like a reasonable attempt. It's on the just-aired Glee premiere, "The Purple Piano Project", and it's posted under the September 21 entries. As you've submitted so many DYKs yourself, I figured you'd have some insight that I'm lacking. I'm pretty sure it's okay lengthwise; I checked the prior task force entries, and this is shorter than either of the two longest ones, and well under 200 characters unless you count the (invisible) piped part of piped links. If you have time tonight, can you let me know? And, as long as I have you here, thanks again for the quick vetting of "New York". :-) BlueMoonset (talk) 00:38, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll do the DYK review for your nomination...once we go through the review process, you'll be a pro! Rcej (Robert)talk 02:24, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You do DYK reviews too? I suppose I should have known. :-) I'll be waiting to hear what comes next. Thank you! BlueMoonset (talk) 02:52, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Later: Interesting! The initial list looked a bit daunting, but there wasn't as much to do as I feared. I was surprised at the requirement to have references even in the article intro; we've usually avoided them in the lead unless we have a quote, since all quotes must be footnoted. Otherwise, the lead looks like a nest of references, and becomes hard to read. But I'm happy to meet the requirements; they're nothing as onerous as for an FAC. If I've missed something, I'm sure you'll let me know. :-) Thanks for your guidance! BlueMoonset (talk) 04:23, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Still later: Thank you so much for shepherding it through the process. I do have a question: now that you've passed it, does that mean it will be used, or only that it's eligible for use and may or may not be picked up for inclusion? As best I can tell, the way I'll know that something's happened either way is that it will disappear from the nominations page and appear (if used) in the queue or queue preparation area. Is that about it? BlueMoonset (talk) 05:34, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It means it will be used in the DYK section, barring any unforseen problems; but those would be taken care of by me, the reviewer. But we don't have any such problems, like copyright issues, etc. We are good to go :) Rcej (Robert)talk 05:47, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fabulous! I feel like a star. :D I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it to show up in queue or prepare area.
BTW, thanks for adding the dual image to the article. I can't believe we didn't have any at all. There are actually pictures in our task force "free-use images" subpage (via the Resources section of the main page) that I think are better for both Shum and Criss, so I've substituted them in. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:57, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's up! And it looks grand. Thank you so much for your help. I hope you got to see it. I gather that if I continue nominating, I'll have to start reviewing as well (the grace period appears to be up to five nominations). I'll drop you a line ahead of future noms, in case you're looking for review material for your own noms. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:05, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Very good! And you're expanding your Wikipedia skills too...DYK reviewing is another great thing to start doing! :-) Rcej (Robert)talk 03:06, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As promised, I said I'd mention the next DYK nom, in case you were short of review material for your own noms, and it's "Pot o' Gold (Glee)". Unfortunately, there's just been too much to do, and the necessary 5x just wasn't in the cards for "Asian F" and your suggested Ralph Malph highlight. (And with Jayma mentioning him in that TVLine article, too. I'll have to get that information into the Production section at some point, though.) Just not enough hours in the day, unfortunately, and too many things before it in the queue—a fair amount external to here. With luck, though, we'll be getting the first episodes of the season to GAN in the next few days. Alas for episode three and DYKitude... BlueMoonset (talk) 23:58, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not entirely sure of the ettiquette here, but I'd like to make a tiny change to your edit of the hook, so I've posted the suggested alteration(s) there; I didn't want to change an already approved and edited hook, even slightly, without making sure it flew first. Thanks for your patience.
  • Assertive is the way to be, always!! ;) The wording was a little awkward, though, so how about alt2? Rcej (Robert)talk 02:52, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Assertive it is! :-) As it happens, ALT2 isn't quite accurate: Damian had done some recording for that Glee episode several days before then, and may even have had dance practice and wardrobe fittings and the like. The day of the 25 was the first day he stepped in front of the cameras and filmed some scenes. I've just proposed a slightly longer ALT3, and then an ALT4 with three words added to ALT3. I hope one of these works, but if not, I'm happy to take another crack or look at an ALT5 proposal. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 03:47, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • lol...speaking of ALT5....... Rcej (Robert)talk 05:27, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
On a completely different topic, we just posted the Dave Karofsky article, and I noticed that we've never had a DYK for any of the fictional character pages created by the task force. Is that because it's generally not a good idea, because television characters don't lend themselves to hooks, or what? (I suspect it's that it's harder to structure a DYK around someone who doesn't really exist, but that may be a failure of imagination on my part.) BlueMoonset (talk) 17:33, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you see a hook and the size is there, go for it! Rcej (Robert)talk 05:27, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Laminaria hyperborea[edit]

I see you have nominated my article Laminaria hyperborea for DYK. Thank you for doing so.

I have suggested some alternative hooks because I do not like the one you proposed. Your one refers to the sentence you have added to the article which itself does not properly reflect what is stated in the source. The figure of 80,000 refers to the number of invertebrates living on a single stipe, a much more dramatic figure, and not to the number living among the stipes in a bed of kelp. I am about to move and rewrite the sentence. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:39, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely...I'm certainly fine with whatever the author decides! :) Rcej (Robert)talk 04:20, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There's a rumor that "Rumours" has just gone for GAN, and I can tell you that it's true, or will be when I hit "Save page". Thought you might want to check this rumor for truth... ;-) Thanks as always! BlueMoonset (talk) 03:31, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Three edits on a single talk-page addition? This is *not* a good sign... BlueMoonset (talk) 03:34, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, as they say, "Thunder only happens when its raining..." ;-) Rcej (Robert)talk 03:42, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You'll know... that I'm grateful for you picking it up for quickly. This is, of course, a conspiracy to help get you to your 200th GAN review as quickly as is feasible. :-)
BTW, I took a look at that final sentence of the first Plot paragraph, and decided I didn't like two uses of "stakeout" in close proximity after all (the verb form is "stake out" with a space), so I've modified it. You'll want to make sure I didn't do violence to the grammar, and there's also a question of word choice... Sorry for coming in almost immediately behind you; you just got started! BlueMoonset (talk) 04:26, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm happy to defer to you in the matter of the caption. :-) I'll be up for maybe another half an hour, in case there are any further issues. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:42, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:UMass-Lowell-logo.png and your userpage[edit]

File:UMass-Lowell-logo.png is a non-free media file, as noted on the image's description page. Per WP:NFCC #9, the use of non-free media on a userpage is not permitted. On 19 September 2011, I removed the image from your userpage, noting the policy violation in the edit summary. Yet, on 25 September 2011, you restored the image to your userpage in violation of policy. Please be aware there is no wiggle room on WP:NFCC #9. It is an absolute prohibition. I have removed the image again. Please do not restore it, as this is a direct violation of policy. If you have questions, please ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 20:57, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

By editing my personal userpage, as opposed to simply telling me to remove the image myself, not only have you overstepped, but you have also violated the Wikipedia core principle of good faith. Shame on you! Rcej (Robert)talk 03:06, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
