What happens when a Wikipedian dies? He or she just doesn't show up to edit anymore. Does anybody notice? Does anybody really even care? To all those Wikipedians who may have died and been forgotten here, Thank you for your contributions and Rest in Peace.

Your RfA[edit]

Hello. It seems you have ignored the advice of a couple different users now. I have gone ahead and closed your RfA per WP:NOTNOW. The RfA was extremely unlikely to succeed. You are very new to Wikipedia, as I can tell from your edit count, and when you created your account. I strongly encourage you to read over WP:NOTNOW to understand why your RfA has been closed. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. If you do for some reason want to continue your RfA after reading WP:NOTNOW, please let me know and I will re-instate the nomination (remember that your RfA is extremely unlikely to succeed if you do with to continue). Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope to see you become a valuable member of the community. AndrewN talk 04:41, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio[edit]

Hello!
You should go through this policy called Wikipedia:Copyright violations. This is with reference to your recent edits on the article Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and the new article you are creating at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Byah Hamari Bahu Ka. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 07:29, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

By simply copying and pasting the plot story written on the official sites of these shows you violated the copyrights. You can not do that. You should write the plot in your own words.
And no! I am not an admin here. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 10:56, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No rush at all. Take your time. And feel free to ask any doubts you have. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 11:13, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again! Thanks for the efforts. But i have changed the format of the page now and have also cut out many things from the plot section. I have included many of those in new "Characters" section. These TV shows run for 200-300 or even more episodes. Even after so many episodes we have to keep the word count of plot around 700-800. Hence it is important to not keep updating the plot with silly trivial happening of everyday in the show. Only main events shall be put there. Enjoy editing! §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 12:43, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's good! Also remember to use ~~~~ at the end of your all posts on talk pages. That automatically adds your signature. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 13:45, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Peepal Tree.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Peepal Tree.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 18:55, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. You're right that no one owns the rights to the tree, but someone does own the rights to the picture; probably the person who took it. I'm afraid that you cannot simply take pictures from elsewhere on the internet to illustrate Wikipedia articles; non-free content can only be used in very specific cases. In this case, it cannot be used as it could be replaced by a free image- what's to stop someone taking a picture of the tree and then releasing it under a free license? I hope this helps clarify why the image has been nominated for deletion. J Milburn (talk) 08:37, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, if you created the picture, you can release it under a free license. Do you object to it being released under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0 license? That's the same license as anything you type on Wikipedia. If that's OK, the image can be kept. J Milburn (talk) 10:06, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Are you happy to release the image? If you are, please let me know, and I will update the page as appropriate. This will save it from being deleted. J Milburn (talk) 12:22, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot Prajyot Singh (talk) 16:12, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Malini Awasthi.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Malini Awasthi.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 12:07, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! How can i help you? Did you take this picture yourself? §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 16:05, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And do you want to give away the rights? Let this be used freely by everyone? (Please answer here itself.) §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 16:10, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Prajyot Singh (talk) 16:11, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay! Second round now. Did you take that picture yourself? §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 17:18, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again- it's about File:Priyal Gor.jpg this time. This image is very clearly not your own work- I can see the same image being used elsewhere on the Internet. Please be very careful not to upload images from elsewhere as your own work. As I've said before, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and people often get very worried about this sort of thing. I have deleted the image- Please be more careful in future. J Milburn (talk) 16:13, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that it is not easy to get pictures, but that does not mean that we can just take pictures from other places on the internet. I'm afraid that the article will just have to go unillustrated for the time being. J Milburn (talk) 16:18, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The same thing applies to File:Ashish Kapoor.jpg, which I have also deleted. J Milburn (talk) 16:25, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And File:Malini Awasthi.jpg. J Milburn (talk) 17:14, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You just said "Now you only tell me that how should i upload these pics so that people should know who she really is as she is a new actress". I'm not sure what you mean by this. What I will say is that you CANNOT upload these pictures. It's not that you are doing them wrong, it's that you are not allowed to do it. J Milburn (talk) 10:02, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Techno-Sonic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Notice

The file File:Peepal Tree.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

image with no obvious academic value, shadowing commons image

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
