On talk pages, please post new comments at the very bottom, or better yet, hit the plus sign tab at the top of the page. This will create a new topic for you. As for the main article space, as stated above, when you add new content, you must supply a citation of a verifiable, reliable source. Real Madrid criticism section[edit]
Hi, I was wondering why you removed the criticism section relating to Real Madrid's comments about their desire to sign Cristiano Ronaldo?
It seemed highly notable, related to not only Real Madrid, but the current European and English champions, Manchester United.
Normally, if one of my edits is removed, it is easy to understand why, by reading the edit summaries, however you marked your edit that removed the information as a minor edit (removal of an entire section is hardly minor) and left no information in the summary.
Anyway, just a polite suggestion, perhaps if you want to removed correctly cited and notable information, it would be nice if you left an edit summary, or even better discussed it with the other involved editors beforehand.
I'm sure your edit was done with the best of intentions, it is just a little hard to understand your motives, without discussion/summary information.

Probably the best month so far for the project. Two GAs, two more GANs, one FAC and one FLC. All albums and DVDs are now high quality albums, with the exception of All Hope Is Gone which is expected to become a GA shortly after release.
Slipknot have began their tour throughout the United States on the Mayhem festival. However, after breaking both heels from a 12 foot on-stage jump #0 will be performing the remainder of the tour in a wheelchair. The band will be featured in next week's issue of Kerrang!. There are nine different collectable covers (one with each member of the band) for only the third time in magazine history. Their first music video of All Hope Is Gone for the song "Psychosocial" premiered last night. |

We apologize about forgetting to do a newsletter last month, but the last two months have been really good for the project. We got our first FA, another FL, a further three GAs, plus a FLC and FAC in process. All Hope Is Gone is currently the AoF with the intention of becoming a featured article, so help out were possible.
Slipknot are currently taking a break from touring due to Joey Jordison breaking his ankle, it is rumoured that they have been shooting a music video for their next single "Dead Memories", which will feature Corey Taylor in some kind of mud pit/grave. Slipknot will return to touring in October and will be touring Asia, Europe and Australia until December, reportedly returning for an arena tour of the US next year. |

As for your question about whether we should create a criticsm section, you seem not have noticed that the article currently has one. However, according to the Wikipedia:Criticism sections page:

- I'm trying to add criticism to all theories as quickly as I find them. The criticism of the Christian "End Time" theory mostly comes from Preterism rather than secular humanism. As for your expression "international demonic order", I've decided to replace it with "satanic world theocracy". Lastly, I removed the mention of David Allen Rivera's Final Warning: The History of the New World Order because of its lack of notability. If an someone image is uses in an article about, the someone, then it is commonly OK for fair use in wikipedia: we have lots and lots of photos of celebrities in articles about these celebs and screenshots from movies about the movies. Anything else is not fair use. you cannot illostrate the article about clipper with screenshots from Pirates of the Caribbean. You are free to consult some admins about the issue. I saw your suggestions in the talk page of the article and in Ian's talk page. I like your idea very much. Would you be fine with the following version: "MJJ, dubbed the King of Pop, was an American musician and entertainer, widely regarded as one of the most commercially successful recording artists of all time"? As for citations, they are given in the last section, Legacy and influence, where he is cited as the greatest selling male solo act ever. Chickens as pets[edit]
Just because it was (uncited) in the main article doesn't mean it's appropriate. The subject of "chickens as pets" isn't an encyclopedic article detailing how people keep pet chickens, but about the phenomenon of pet chickens, i.e. where and why chickens became pets. Any how to content describing how pet chickens are kept is almost entirely too general. The line between pet chickens and regular poultry keeping isn't clearly defined by the manner of keeping them, only in the attitude people have toward their chickens. So how exactly do you plan to expand the article? I believe that the article is about pet chickens such as in an urban environment, not a farm or hatchery. I understand there may be a few how-to sentences, but theres really nothing wrong with writing what pet chickens eat or the fact that chickens need to have dust baths in order to keep parasites in check. Well its not mentioned anywhere else, so maybe it should be mentioned here. Plus, pet chickens are kept differently to hatcheries. Hatcheries have cages with only a tiny bit of food and water for each chicken, no grass, no dustbaths, etc. Portillo (talk) 21:35, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

You just reverted my addition to the entry on Kai Greene, arguing that a photo that does not show his face is not acceptable. May I ask you to cite a relevant Wikipedia policy on that matter? I added the photo to illustrate the fact that Greene is interested in showing his body in artistic contexts, in addition to appearing in bodybuilding contests. It seems to me that the photo is very appropriate in that regard. To address your concern, however, I will exchange the photo for another one that does show his face. Please let me know if you have any problems with that. (By the way, I only deleted your photo because it duplicates the one at the top of the article. Hi, Portillo. I'm not sure why you reverted me here. One of the cited sources you restored is a dead link, and neither of the remaining two alleges that Michael Jackson constituted an example of so-called "Peter Pan syndrome": the Time piece does even mention "Peter Pan syndrome" and the ABC piece only mentions the so-called syndrome in connection with the characteristics of pedophiles; Jackson is not the subject of this passage. Gemini Lounge[edit]
Hey, just wanted to make note of why I blanked the page so as not to give the impression that I was intentionally vandalizing. The Gemini Lounge was a Mafia hangout used by the DeMeo crew and is linked that way in a number of articles (e.g., Richard Kuklinski). I thought it inappropriate that there should be a link to an unrelated place in Oregon which apparently doesn't even go by the same name. Better then to make an empty page until a new article for the Gemini Lounge (i.e. the mob hangout) has been created. Edit summaries.[edit]
Please use edit summaries, without them it is nearly impossible to judge the spirit in which you are making changes. For example, your change to Paul the Apostle. How did the article benefit from your revision, and what purpose did you serve changing "Fourteen" to "14"? I reverted it for the sake of consistency, but according to WP:ORDINAL it really doesn't matter. Regarding your voting and the change of stance[edit]
Dear Portillo!
As I have noticed on this page, Deletion Sorting Page, all of your current votes, all Delete, has these comments:
- "Fails routine, fails coverage, fails notability, fails everything." - stated one time
- "Fails routine or something like that." - stated four times
- "Some editors dont like UFC and I think we should do what they say." - stated four times
I don't mind the votes, but I have noticed an sudden turn of your stance.
Taking a look at this page, Article Alert Archive, and taking a look at the discussions that followed, I found quotes like this: "Plenty of reliable sources for notability.", with a vote as Keep.
On May 5th, you voted Keep with this comment: "Per witch hunt and personal agenda.".
Same date, "Editors who know nothing about UFC or MMA are trying to ruin the coverage of UFC on Wikipedia." (Diaz vs Mille (2nd nomination), Keep Vote)
But also on the same date, Johnson vs McCall (2nd nomination), this time around you voted for Delete with the comment: "Mtking does not like UFC and I think we should all do what he or she says.", and as far as I can see, all subsequent votes from you has been Delete.
My concern to all this is NOT your voting OR your argument for voting, but that you are, dare I say it with great respect, that you are trolling. And if by any chance you do, could you please reconsider your stance? By "troll voting", you are not contributing to the on-going debate, rather the opposite, I'm afraid. UFC deletion debates[edit]
Since nearly all of these hardly had any discussion on the actual notability of the subject (and since they were well overdue - clearly many admins are steering well clear of the subject, and I can hardly blame them), I have closed all of them (apart from a couple that were clear Keeps) as No Consensus. I would suggest these aren't nominated again until a clear consensus on the applicability of WP:NOT#NEWS, WP:ROUTINE and WP:SPORTSEVENT as they relate to MMA events is gained, with the input of a wide range of the community. Punctuation[edit]
Re adding punctuation to picture captions, as at St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney.
- A sentence requires a punctuation mark to finish it. A caption doesn't, unless the caption is a sentence.
- A sentence has a subject and a verb.
- Captions just name and describe.
- The main types of structure that you encounter on wikipedia that are not sentences and do not need verbs are titles, headings, picture captions and list items (as in dot-point items).
- So "Statue of Our Lady, help of Christians at St Mary's" should not have a full-stop.
- "This statue of Our Lady, help of Christians was a gift to the cathedral" should have a full stop.

Regarding Countach replicas[edit]
I am replying to your question about Countach replicas here, because I am not sure that the discussion will help to improve the article on the Countach.
In the United States, in order for a replica or a kit car to get around the safety and fuel economy requirements for new cars, it must need at least some assembly, probably including the installation of the engine. Unless I'm mistaken, these requirements vary from state to state. I'm also not sure what the requirement for emissions are; those are very likely to have gotten stricter in the past few years. Hi - I just edited Andrey Kashechkin to include an image in the infobox, and it's of him in Astana team colors, but is a six-year old image! There are, I think, five images of "Kash" in wikimedia commons we could draw on: the one Astana shot and then four Lampre pics. The Lampre ones are higher-resolution and one of them is quite well-composed imo, but of course Kash no ride for dem nomore! Hi. Based on the discussion at AN/I, I've had to revert your changes. I agree fully that the current state of affairs, where there is no consistency in naming, is not a good approach. I'm hoping that the community can reach a decision as to how to proceed. The problem is that a large-scale unilateral change was always going to be controversial, as I'm sure that you expected, especially when it favours one side of the debate over the other. By reverting the changes, I'm using the same attitude as the "wrong version" when protecting articles - I don't think the current state is the right one, but whatever wording we use is going to be an issue. Album review ratings[edit]
Hi... this is a long shot, because I know you don't edit much on here any more, and this is about edits you made almost 15 years ago. But in March 2008 you added ratings and review quotes from Alternative Press and Entertainment Weekly to Nick Drake's first two albums, Five Leaves Left and Bryter Layter. My question is, can you remember where you got hold of these from? I'd love to be able to add the reviewers' names and review titles to the citations, as they are coming up with errors now, but I don't know where to get hold of copies of these magazines now. Thanks.
