Amiya

Hi, You reverted my edit on Amiya but I do not understand why. Amiya was redirecting to Amaya even though the two words are different and there's no mention of Amiya on Amaya. What's more, Amiya does have a meaning in Arabic which is "colloquial version of the language" (see for instance: http://etheses.uin-malang.ac.id/16250/ ). A455bcd9, the main reason is that Amiya is not mentioned in the article on arabic dialects. Therefore, that only leaves a single viable direction, and that's to the amaya dab, as a variant spelling. Onel5969 TT me 12:19, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
Hi onel5969, "amiya" is mentioned but with a different spelling because it's a transliteration of Arabic: "a local colloquial variety (called العامية, al-ʿāmmiyya in many Arab countries, meaning "slang" or "colloquial"; or called الدارجة, ad-dārija, meaning "common or everyday language" in the Maghreb), in different aspects of their lives.". "al-ʿāmmiyya" is also spelled in the references cited "'ÂMIYYA", "amiya", or "a’amiya". That's why I edited this page. Amiya is not a variant spelling of amaya in Arabic and amiya is not mentioned as a variant spelling of Amaya on the dab page so I think the current redirection does not make sense. What do you think? Reverts on United Nations Articles

I am working to improve the consistency of the United Nations goodwill ambassadors articles to reflect a consistent style that is being emulated by the United Nations using abbreviations. While I do not know everything there is to know about Wikipedia, I am very meticulous and consistent to follow up with details and improvements including updating the Wikidata. Problemsmith, hi, and thanks for your efforts. However, as I pointed out in my edit summary, what you are doing is called "cut and paste" (see WP:CUTANDPASTE). It has to do with attribution. When you do that, you hide the editing history of the page. What you need to do is "move" the page to the correct title. If you can't do that because there is currently a redirect page, you must request that redirect be deleted in order to move the page (request a speedy deletion using G6, and just state that you intend to move the page to the correct title). Re: Klarisse de Guzman

The article Klarisse de Guzman was an article for deletion in 2017 when she had no significant accomplishments yet. But after the said year, the Filipino singer/celebrity had more accomplishments including albums, awards, and being a contestant in two celebrity competitions. She wouldn't be in We Love OPM and Your Face Sounds Familiar if she were not a celebrity. Klarisse de Guzman is not an AFD as of 2021; and this current version of Klarisse de Guzman article is not the 2017 version but rather an updated version.

The article also satisfied more than one of the notability criteria for music. 1. subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works (none of the references are self-published) 2. has released two or more albums on a major record label (Klarisse and Klarisse de Guzman are two separate albums from mainstream record labels) 3. has won or been nominated for a major music award 4. has won first, second or third place in a major music competition (Klarisse is the first runner-up of The Voice PH; 2nd place of We Love OPM) 5. has performed music for a work of media that is notable (Klarisse sang theme songs of TV shows of ABS-CBN network) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sbhpiamonte (talk • contribs) 03:11, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

Relapse 2 page removal

Hi there, I recently saw that you removed the Relapse 2 page, which I agree with. However, the deletion was reverted right after, and I think it’s necessary that you delete it again, as there is no need for the page. The album, by Eminem, was never even released, and the page creator is even putting the album in Eminem’s chronology, which does not follow the guidelines at all and is misinformation.

Please let me know if you can sort this, as I believe that the page creator and other will keep unnecessarily reverting its deletion.

RareConnect Page

Hello Onel5969! I have a quick question. I saw that you reviewed a page of mine recently (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RareConnect) and it shows that it could possible be marked as spam. I am newer to Wiki and I am trying my best to add to the community. I've read through a ton of the guidelines to page creation here and I even used a similar wiki page for my creation efforts strcuturally. SeanRMull, lol, it's actually not a quick question, but I'll try to answer it as best I can. First, I would point you to WP:NPOV, and if you have an interest regarding RareConnect, than I would also point you to WP:COI. Editors who are attempting to write articles face a strange tension, they have to show that what they are writing is notable, yet they have to do it in a way which is not promotional. The key is to let the facts speak for themselves. Don't use WP:PEACOCK words or phrases. Your article probably came up as possible spam since it talks about what the organization offers. Many times that can be seen as promotional, but you presented it in a straightforward fashion, so I didn't have an issue with it. Be aware that other editors might have issue with it, that's why consensus is so important on WP. BTW, looking at other articles is a good way to learn, but also understand that WP:OSE. When choosing subjects to write about, simply look for things which either meet one of the Subject-specific notability guidelines (WP:SNG), or one which has several in-depth stories about it from reliable sources, so that it passes WP:GNG. When dealing with organizations and companies, you must also take into account WP:CORPDEPTH. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 15:20, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

PointLaVista, hi. First of all, no one "owns" a page (see WP:OWN), and second, who gave you approval? Just curious. You don't need approval to remove a tag, you simply remove it. If another editor objects to the removal, they'll put it back, and then a discussion would ensue on the article's talk page. Another question, do you have a WP:COI with the page? But to show notability, you'd need several in-depth articles about the company to show it passes WP:GNG, in addition, they need to be from several areas of the country/world, in order to pass WP:CORPDEPTH. I see my page has been marked for deletion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:SeanRMull:/Spinalcord.com . This is another page that I built around a medical resource group. I have done one other in the past. I am confused because it does not seem to be much different than that of some of the other medical resource platform pages. I can drop the website design breakdown if that makes it feel as if it is being promoted...? I will do a complete rewrite and send it off to be approved before publishing it as a live page. I do not want to anger anyone in the wiki community. I am still new at it and learning the ropes. I have started another sandbox page in order to re work it. I'm not trying to start an edit war but I am willing to invoke WP:IAR in this instance because the subject is indisputably notable. If you do not know what an institutional accreditor is or what that specific organization does, I strongly recommend you take the time to look into it; this article may be helpful. If you do that and still believe that the organization isn't notable, you'll need to get to work nominating all of the other institutional accreditors for deletion, too, because this was the only one without its own article:

I'm really trying to be collegial and friendly but you are out of your depth if you don't understand that this organization is notable. I completely agree that the current article is a stub and I'll try to find time to continue working on the article but I assure you that an AfD for any of these organizations, including this one, would be a snow keep.
I also don't understand why you believe you have the ability to subvert AfD in this instance. Of course, you are welcome to submit this article to AfD but I don't understand why you are unilaterally empowered to delete the article or redirect it without any discussion. ElKevbo, well, calling someone "out of your depth" is pretty funny way of being friendly. You don't seem to be aware of WP:GNG, so it's difficult to have a conversation with you. No one is saying this organization is not notable. All that has been said is that is a crappy article, with incredibly poor sourcing, which needs to be improved to remain on mainspace. To pass ALBUM it either has to have charted on a major chart, or there have to be several in-depth reviews of the album. If you can provide those, then it will pass. onel5969, Hi, I've tried but I think I've failed. And it's hard for me to write these articles in English (I'm from Prague, Czech Republic). Each of those took hours for me, so I'm very sorry, I've lost enthusiasm. If The Swedish Radio Sessions was the same problem, it will be the same for all of the Searchers' collectors CDs I've made... Huttershofen, welcome, brother. My family hails from Moravia (one part of it, anyway). I'm not a big Searchers' fan, but on BBC Sessions I did find this review, see this. Incorporate it into the article and I think that puts it over the edge of GNG, as well as NALBUM. Hello – I saw you nominated The Circle (British series 3) for speedy deletion due to it being the creation of a sock. The reason I draftified that one in particular is because I've always edited articles relating to the series and it would be a shame for it to be deleted, since the series airs soon and it would be a loss of progress. Silverije, as per WP:VERIFY, everything in WP should be sourced. So, in the article, in the "Rise of the family" section, only 1 of 4 paragraphs are sourced. In the following section, only 2 of 4 are sourced. Remember, any unsourced material can be removed at any time, so it's to your benefit to provide sourcing. Hope this helps. Plastikspork, hmmm.... let me think about this for a second... a page sourced by FB, Instagram, Spotify, and YouTube. Yeah, probably, thrown in the tone of phrases like, "As a diva she was already involved in the world of beauty pageants when she was young", and looks like you have a fan who is going to be pretty persistent about recreation. It has hosted several globally recognized people like Ricky Kej, Grammy Winner, Lonnie Park, Grammy Nominee, Dr. Rajendra Singh- Ramon Magsaysay awardee, Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi, Padma Bhushan Awardee and more than hundreds are there. 4. Hi. I've taken a shortcut moving both the article AND the talk-page by cut-and-paste. Is there still a problem then? I can only think of the very unlikely possibility of dialogues on user talk-pages where certain edits are discussed and linked by their URL, but if one hits the redirect, that is solved as well, or am I overlooking smth? This article hardly has any talk-page content, so that seems very far-fetched. Now I looked up the correct procedure and have applied for removal of the redirect, so that a proper move can be made. Arminden, cool. Cut and pasting (WP:CUTANDPASTE) is not allowed on WP for attribution reasons. What needs to be done is to MOVE the page, which you can't do since a redirect is blocking the move. Just a minute. I did read the instructions you pointed me to, so this I knew now already. The question was: since Wikipedia tells us to ignore rules which make the content poorer, and as I did copy & paste both the article AND its talk-page to the new name, what was the downside of not going the long way? Since it wasn't me who created the redirect, removing it will probably take longer, if accepted at all, so the article is now blocked with the wrong name. Arminden, while IAR does say that, hiding attribution screws around with copyright stuff, which is one of the few things which is inviolable on WP. There is another way to do what you did, which is to do the cut and paste move, and then request a history merge (WP:HISTMERGE). Automated edit reversion at Mehora

Hi Onel5969,

I just noticed that my recent edit at Mehora got reverted not long after I did it, which apparently happened via Twinle, saying that the sources I cited did not indicate that the place exists. I'm not sure how that happened and I assume it's a bug of some sort, but I wanted to check with you before reverting the reversion and make sure there were no objections. Would you be OK with me restoring my previous edit?

The issue is the first source doesn't mention Mehora, but Mahaura, which you do reference as an alternate spelling. There are actually two issues with this ref. First, it's not reliable, second, while you say it's an alternate spelling, the source does not. The second reference doesn't reference either Mehora or Mahaura. I think that second link should be this, rather than the link you provided. Also, you need to give the exact page the info is cited on. I did a search of both Mehora and Mahaura and found nothing in the document. Page 150 in that document gives an alphabetical list of villages in Lucknow, and neither of those names are mentioned. Onel5969, the census doc lists Mehora on pages 139 and 141-47. Page 138 also has a corresponding map which shows Mehora in the same location as Geonames does. I guess the question here is whether connecting the two counts as original research. Would Google Maps count as a more reliable source? Because it also shows Mehora in the same spot: [6]

Moving articles

Hello, Onel5969,

I see you move quite a few articles into draft space. Unless they are new articles, it would be very helpful if you could check to see if they have any redirects that can be tagged for deletion. Most articles that have been around for years have several and I've come across articles that were moved to draft space that had as many as 10 associated redirects that then had to be deleted.

If you are moving an article just to new title in main space, please leave a redirect and then one of our helpful bots can change all the redirects to the new title. But since we don't have cross-space redirects, that is not possible with a move to draft space and those can be checked by an editor by looking at "What links here". Thanks. Liz Read! Liz, will do on the redirects, Liz. I rarely move an article to draftspace which is older than 2 months. As part of NPP, I do the back of the queue mostly. That way, as per WP:DRAFTIFY, editors have been notified of the need to improve the article (for one of several reasons), and if no improvement has been made, and yet it looks to possibly be notable, I'll draftify it. The only thing I can think of if I move an older article, is in the cases of discovered UPE. Dear Friend, I'm a very inexperienced Wikipedia user, therefore I think that reverting your changes wouldn't be appropriate, but I'd like to ask you to rethink deleting the RETN page. It's the 12th biggest ISP creating a backbone of the whole internet, and responsible for nearly half of the internet traffic between EU and Eastern Europe/Asia, therefore I think it deserves its Wikipedia page. Piotrek2234, no worries. To see what qualifies as notable take a look at WP:GNG, and since this is a company, also look at WP:CORPDEPTH. In a nutshell, you need in-depth coverage from several sources about the company. Not brief mentions, not directory listings, and the sources have to be independent, so nothing from the company itself, or a trade organization, which is what you currently used to cite the article.

Genozip

Dear Friend, I see you deleted my responses related to the commentator advocating the removal of Genozip due to "outing". What this person did is highly, highly unethical and in blatent violation of Wikipedia's COI policies. He is the senior engineer at the largest competitor of Genozip. I am not sure if he acted in his personal capacity or at instruction of his company, but in any event, the fact that he would go to such an extreme measure of risking his reputation with an ethical violation is itself a testiment to the notability of Genozip in the field. Jokerman71, what you did will get you banned from WP. As I said in my edit summaries, what you did violated WP:OUTING. To defend yourself from such behavior, a first step is to not write a blatantly COI article. And you did it twice. What they did violated NO policy. They did not !vote at the AfD, and even if they did, as long as their !vote was based on policy, would have been perfectly fine. I understand you feel affronted, and in their shoes, I would have remained silent. However what you did, by WP standards, is simply not allowed. That being said, you might ask your question, in a more neutral tone, at WP:TEAHOUSE. I would not accuse anyone of unethical behavior. But ask the question in as generic a manner as possible. Liz, hi! I'm going to ping Diannaa on this, since they were aware of this issue. If you look at the discussion on their talk page, found here under List of palaces in South Korea moved to draftspace, you might understand. This editor created hundreds of list articles. While the list articles are valid, and well-structured, they failed to provide the correct attribution to the other WP articles they copied information from. The list articles remained unimproved for several weeks, even after the editor had been informed of the issues. I moved them to draft space, and let them know on their talk page as to the reason, as well as to how to go about correcting the issue. I see your post on their talk page, and I understand why you put it there. However, this editor is simply recreating pages they've already created, but this time, it appears they have learned to provide attribution, as at List of caves in Zimbabwe. I had hoped they would move the drafts to mainspace, but maybe they don't have that capability. Since they are the only editor who has any significant contributions to these articles, the most expedient thing to do would probably delete the drafts, and evaluate the new mainspace articles. If you recall, Mr. Gruenbaum's book on his experience growing up during the Holocaust has been reviewed by the NY Times Book Review; there’s a video interview on a fox affiliate on him; and there was a recent feature article about him in this country's premier transportation engineering magazine (ITE). I don't quite understand how the editor feels these are passing mentions. How can I get across to the editor that these are important and relevant mentions?

Placscrib, hi. First, I'd start a dialogue with -noah-, who is a very good AfC reviewer, and has already looked at your page in-depth. The NYT piece is very good. Interviews, however, are primary sources, and as such do not count towards notability. Personally, I disagree with that policy, but it is policy. Different reviewers see things differently. I moved your article into draftspace not because I didn't think they were notable, but because I did think they were notable, just that the article needed better referencing. I could have left it in mainspace, and removed the uncited material, but that would have gutted the article. I had already quoted so many references for the my WP:BLP article on the subject Priyanka Choudhary to meet it all the requirements for WP:NACTOR and WP:GNG, but I really don't understand why is Ravensfire again and again adding the [notability] template. It kind of feels silly, because there seems to be similar articles like Priyal Mahajan and Debattama Saha which have half the amount of SOURCES that I quote for my WP:BLP articles, plus these subjects Priyal Mahajan and Debattama Saha don't even fulfill WP:NACTOR and WP:GNG as much as the subject Priyanka Choudhary does! However, they do not contain any TEMPLATES. Is it that the WIKIPEDIAN ADMINS target only some EDITORS?

Because two days back in the same way Drmies (again a Wikipedia administrator) and Schazjmd had together sided up into a edit war on a SINGLE SENTENCE of an article Udaariyaan started by Fizconiz.
I had already informed Cyphoidbomb regarding the edit wars and disruptive editing cause by Fizconiz but it's shameful that the Wikipedia Admin did not take any actions. Now, I can see that these ADMINISTARTORS are very craftily using their POWER by TARGETING MY EDITS AND MY ARTICLES. It's really very shameful to see such DIRTY POLICTICS played by Wikipedia Adminstrators using their power.

One lead role does not tip the scale for WP:NACTOR, and looking at the first six references cited, most look like press release fare and seem to include the subject's opinions/comments, meaning that these are potentially unsuitable for satisfying the "independent" aspect of the General Notability Guideline. So Ravensfire likely has good reason to tag that article for notability concerns. Your assertion that administrators are targeting you in particular, is unfounded, but even if it was founded, it is likely that your editing style, and questionable choices you have made, are going to attract more attention. So when you choose to pick fights with people about certain phrasing, for instance arguing erroneously that "inspired from" is more correct than "inspired by", you should expect for people to look into what other edits you might have made that could have been problematic. The admins that you are accusing of "teaming up" and "targetting" lack validity. But if you are choosing your talk page as evidence to support your claims of targetting, siding with one another, which I'm assuming you are, that's poorly chosen. This isn't some sort of competition of what edits are meant to stay that you're trying to make it seem. Once an edit is reverted, chances are there are considerable reasons for it. Once that happens, you're supposed to think why. Basic edits like where you refuse to accept the addition of one word that is grammatically correct, you're going to find yourself reaching consensus by yourself. So, that doesn't mean other contributors are trying to prove themselves right by establishing their own rules. I'm also confused as to where your of labelling me as starting an edit war arises from. Maybe this revision history? I mean, the contribution history speaks for itself of who is practising ownership of content. These aren't wicked admins that need to be penalised, just because your extremely unintelligible edit summaries aren't being followed. So the absurd phrases you are choosing like "crafting their own power" by their advantages are largely irrelevant because no one here has magic wands that embed their own rules by declaring certain spells. Take an afternoon off for some real world business, and see what you can get yourself into? First, I'm honored (tongue thoroughly in cheek) that you think I could do something about this situation. Second, while some WP editors (not just admins) do engage in WP:WIKIHOUNDING (I've occasionally been the target myself), that does not appear to be the instance here. Especially the two admins you mention, Drmies and Cyphoidbomb, who are outstanding admins. As Cyphoidbomb pointed out, if any editor comes across what they feel is a pattern of suspicious editing, they have every right to start looking into other edits by that editor. For example, there is another editor who has an issue with attribution when copying from other WP articles. I'm trying to help them understand why the WP policy on attribution is important, and what they need to do to adhere to it. Doesn't mean I'm hounding them. Ravensfire is a very experienced editor, whose comments on their talk page regarding this I think were handled quite civilly and well. Certainly better than I would have handled them if they were directed at me (civility is a big issue with me). They bring up reasonable concerns regarding notability about this actor. Please take a breath and understand that it does not appear that folks are targeting you. I would personally leave the notability tag alone until either an uninvolved editor removes it, or Ravensfire is satisfied enough to remove it themselves. Another very experienced reviewer, Celestina007 has already reviewed your article and passed it, so I think this is much ado about very little. Regarding Sparky0723, and their recent article creations

I noticed that you recently notified Sparky0723 of a copyright violation on Pachinko (TV series), which is why I'm writing you this message (if this is the wrong place, please let me know). He recently created Invasion (upcoming TV series), which contains copied text from this Deadline source (specifically the cast and premise). I don't think his "-Deadline" addition at the end of the premise is sufficient, but I figured you would know. Secondarily, he also seems to be stepping on others toes, by creating new articles in the main article space, when a draft of the same article already exists. I'm referring to WeCrashed, which I have heavily edited to cleanup and incorporate the changes that were in Draft:WeCrashed, which has been around for months. Like I said, if this is the wrong place to start this conversation, let me know, but I'm hoping that some action can be taken to address these two issues. Hi Onel. Not sure why you drafted KG0516 for unpaid editing, as there was nothing to suggest User:SelenaGomezRevelacion, blocked for a violation of the username policy, was ever doing paid editing. That's just how some fan accounts name themselves—after their current favourite album or artist—because they're unaware of our username policy. I assume that's who you're referring to, as the other editors who've edited the topic have either been around or are new, unblocked editors. Per the report at the very bottom here here, which the blocking admin Alexf acted upon, Eostrix reported SelenaGomezRevelacion for "Violation of the username policy as a misleading username. Revelación is a recent Spanish EP by Selena Gomez. User is editing pages of a different Spanish language singer." That's not an accusation of paid editing, that's a concern about the user naming themselves after a singer's album as if they represent said music release when they don't. Gomez's EP has nothing to do with Karol G's album and I don't know what anyone would really think they have in common other than....both being in Spanish, and...perhaps having a tenuous connection about both being released on Universal Music-owned labels? (Which constitutes half the music industry anyway.) If that user was trying to imply some connection because the username and the article they created are both Spanish-language releases, that's a bit of a reach. As I said, it's common for editors here to name themselves after something recent by one of their favourite singers because they think it's fine. Regardless of the template Alexf used when they blocked said editor, that doesn't equal paid editing. It wouldn't be the first time concerns raised at UAA were conflated with other reasons. No, I don't understand that, because there's no proof of paid editing, and Alexf can't prove there was, even if they used said template to tell the user they were blocked. "[T]he account has been used for advertising or promotion" does not equal "you were paid to create a page", let alone "paid to create a page on an album that isn't even what you named your account after, which is the actual reason you were reported and thus blocked". You might understand this had you clicked on the link I just provided you with, which shows how the admin came upon the user—they didn't learn anything new before blocking them. Bottom line is you should not have drafted the page, because I know full well there are plenty of articles on Wikipedia that were created by actual users paid to edit that were never drafted. D3 Publisher otome games

Hello! I understand there were concerns about notability for many of these games, but is there no way we can preserve the data (perhaps in a 'D3 Publisher Otome Games' article - D3 actually does have a separate division for them) for the ones that weren't kept as articles? Mermaid Prism in particular had a decent amount of content available (including not only famous voice actors and a magazine cover, but also a collaboration with a notable band) compared to some of the ones that were kept (all sourced to reliable gaming magazines), so I'm not sure I understand the pattern. I know some other editors who could not read Japanese were accusing me of citing to fan blogs, but this is not the case. Dengeki Online, Famitsu, 4gamer, and B's Log are all professional magazines. Londonbeat41692, I think the best way to go is to create a List of D3 Publisher Games, and then have a section of it on the Otome Games, similar to the formatting on the D3 page. Londonbeat41692, hi again. Looking over your stubs, I think there is a potentially very good list article there. Regarding "Mermaid Prism" in particular, there are 7 sources, of which I can access 6. The first 2 are simple listings, with the second also being a primary source. The third is a blog, and therefore not reliable. The fourth is another primary source. The fifth is the one I can't access, but B's-LOG appears to be little better than a blog, without editorial oversight, therefore it wouldn't be considered reliable. The sixth is a simple listing, and the seventh is a press release. While primary sources can be used, they do nothing to establish notability. So, when you build the list article, the primary sources will be fine, as the list will almost certainly pass WP:NLIST. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 14:04, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Also, why is it that the articles I created are under scrutiny to the point that false assumptions are being made and acted on about the sources I am using, yet Houkago no Love Beat from the same publisher and which has had numerous contributors does not have a single source and reads like a user review of the game, but still stands? Granted, I am not suggesting it should be removed - I'm sure I could find sources to improve it with given the time, but it's not a good article right now. Third, B's Log does not appear to be a reliable source. It's run by the person who mainly writes the reviews, or at least wrote the review in the article you created. Regarding Houkago, please see WP:OSE. Your articles are under scrutiny because they are coming up in the queue at New Page Patrolers (NPP). There's a slight backlog, and I'm just getting to articles which were created about 3 weeks ago. You just happened to create a lot of these articles within several days of one another. It is a subsidiary of Kadokawa and has an editorial department, as I showed you via links. The magazine feature didn't actually cite a review as I do not have the issue itself to cite its content beyond that I can verify it exists and that Mermaid Prism is the cover story/bonus items were included. Could you be confusing it with the PSMK2 review I had included, which is indeed questionable (not a blog but a review database that doesn't appear to be run by a company)? If B's Log is unreliable, then so is Famitsu. I will work the content into a list at any rate, but I do not understand your problem with this magazine. I saw your template on the article I recently created. I'm immensely busy, but took the time to start the article which has far more material and references than the typical long-standing stub article which I run across almost daily. So to accommodate your concerns, I started looking for material on Polte that might satisfy them. I went to JSTOR as you advised and found half a dozen references to Polte, in particular to one episode which is extremely interesting. Polte did a huge amount of work in a brief period in 1969 to put on a free Rock festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, along with half a dozen other luminaries of the Rock, music and broadcast scene in the Bay Area at that time. Although an extraordinary number of commitments were gathered from top musicians, the festival was well organized, and money was raised to pay for the logistics, neighborhood complaints about speculative transitory inconveniences caused the plans to be abandoned. Instead, the proposed concert was moved to the Altamont Raceway between Santa Rita and Altamont Pass. The last-minute, haphazard arrangements, a product of Bill Graham's frustration, led to a spectacular disaster which has been memorialized in film, in particular, Gimme Shelter and one which could have been easily avoided but for the City government's insular, tone-deaf responsiveness to the "Get Off My Lawn!" types in the Sunset District. Important musicians, writers, and critics regarding the culture of the era, such as Jon Hammond (who has no article) and Ben Fong-Torres, noted Polte's role. Now the problem is that your judgment and mine are subjective, of course, and I don't know what would satisfy yours. I've wondered about a lot of absolute crap on Wikipedia, in particular, some years ago articles for every individual who contributed the inept reading of one or two lines/voice parts in extremely obscure Japanese anime films. I suspect that the producer might have drafted his next-door neighbor to contribute the reading of those lines by offering him or her a bowl of sushi in return for making a two-minute recording.

Now Polte was an important person in an important historic and cultural time.

By way of reference, I happened to see the Ken Burns 9th episode of his Jazz series in the wee hours today. The commentary mentioned Joe Glaser on occasions, as he was Louis Armstrong's and Billie Holiday's manager. So I went to the article about Joe, for some comparison. He was a major influence on music, both live and recorded, for decades, but the article doesn't remotely give him due credit for what he did. I also looked up another famous manager, Al Grossman, and didn't find an article. I tried Albert Grossman and found an extensive article, but there's no redirection to it in Wikipedia, so the reader might assume there's no article, though Al was mostly known by the hypocorism by those in the music business. My curiosity piqued, I looked up "Izzy" on Wikipedia, as journalist I.F. Stone, was known. No luck there. The prestigious "Izzy Awards" are named for him, bestowed annually by the Park Center for Independent Media at Ithaca College. Searching for "Izzy" on Wikipedia didn't include the given name "Isidor." I'll fix that.

As a result of the unexpected time I took to respond to your tagging before I'd written this note, I've managed to miss an appointment this afternoon, though it will probably work out okay. (Here's hoping.)

Here's a potential solution to what I feel is a problem. If you think a newish article is not of a "notable" subject, how about just writing to the article's creator instead of tagging it? That way the creator can be more responsive, and not realize his or her article has been deleted until some time after the fact. Even a watchlist might not be helpful, because I can't be the only Wikipedia editor who doesn't look at their watch list every day and I have hundreds of articles watchlisted so such notification is easily missed.

It was very educational for me to track down those ancient references and articles, despite paywalls abounding. Take a look at the article now, if you have the time. One thing I need to touch up about Polte is that he was always concerned about the music, the musicians, the community, and only last about the money. He resigned from the Music Council after the Fest was shut down. It had been my intent to get to that, without being rushed, but I'm glad I did do it, despite the inconvenience and drawbacks. I just saw you recently decided to leave the Thai architectureal page that has a single touristic page link as a reference, so obviously your criteria depends much more on the content than actual care for references.

I would prefer that you do not move the page unless you have very specific arguments about what is exactly the problem and please use discussion pages for that, so it does not look like conservative supression on feminists in Wikipedia - this is the Gender Gap period after all ;-)

I feel it would make more sense if you just added a "sources needed" template to the "Reception" section instead of just blanking the whole thing...I was actually going to add more and change up the Reception section before it was removed. Hi Daniel.villar7 - There is not a single in-depth source about the organization in the article. There is three independent sources, but two are from YouTube, which is unreliable. The third is not about the organization, but it's founder. All the rest are primary sources. The obit is the only source from a newspaper, so not sure what you're talking about. The two sources from youtube are of the individuals (Keir Starmer and Gardon Brown) thanking Scientists for Labour, and the videos show them thanking the organisation for its work. The main source of information about the organisation is admittedly the organisation's own webiste, but that is the same for many other socialist societies that have wikipedia pages. For instance, the only sources for the Labour Party Irish Society come from the organisation's own website or LabourList, all save one source for the Socialist Educational Association comes from its own website, and the only link to anything on National Union of Labour and Socialist Clubs is the organisation's webiste. This is not an argument for deleting those pages, but to say that it seems that SfL is being held to a higher standard than other socialist societies. If you would like I can link to times when the organisation's work has been referenced in newspapers and other Labour Party organs, but I do not see why that would make it more reliable than stating what it has done and linking to the organisation's own webiste. Additionally for some of the information, such as the name of the chair and of the patrons, I think it would be apropriate to link to the organisation's own page. - Daniel.villar7 16:00 BST

Hi! I do not know if I left this on your page previously and I am missing it or what happened exactly, but I was wondering why exactly the Quantum Psychology page edit that I did was reversed by you?
