July 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to 2018 FIFA World Cup Final, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. S.A. Julio (talk) 00:46, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you nominated 2018 FIFA World Cup Final for GA status. Per the instructions page, you should consult the major contributors to the article or area experts before nominating. I don't think the article is ready for GAN status, as the post-match section is underdeveloped and things haven't settled down yet (being less than 48 hours since the final and all). I suggest that you retract your nomination. SounderBruce 00:43, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you've also nominated 2002, 2010, and the main 2018 page. Unless you've majorly edited them, I also suggest retracting them. Read up on the GA criteria first. Anarchyte (work | talk) 13:07, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You have been making many GA nominations of articles for which you are not a significant contributor. Please note that the GA instructions state Nominators who are not significant contributors to the article should consult regular editors of the article on the article talk page prior to a nomination. This is something you have not done; consultation should last seven days to allow the regular editors to respond. I have reverted your nomination of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final article, since you have not made any significant edits to it and the article is currently undergoing frequent changes and would fail the stability requirement of the GA criteria linked to by Anarchyte. I will check the other articles you have nominated, and will revert any nomination where you are not a significant contributor; another one noto mentioned above is Exoplanet. Please, before you plunge into various processes, do more investigating or ask around about how they work; it will make things more rewarding for you and save others from having to undo your edits. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy your time on Wikipedia. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:55, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

Hi, I've redirected the page "List of Nobel laureates by university affiliation (from 11-35 laureates)" back to the main page. There is currently no consensus on further splitting the main article. Please use Talk Page, if needed. Minimumbias (talk) 06:53, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

GA pages[edit]

Hi, I'm not quite sure what you're doing with the the GA pages, but you should probably stop. Changes should be discussed not implemented unilaterally. There's a good chance they'll confuse the bot or be reverted by him.

As an aside: what you claim on your userpage is inaccurate.--Carabinieri (talk) 09:33, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Let me be the 4th or 5th editor to ask you to please stop nominating pages for GA. Helping to get pages there is something valuable to the project but it's important that you've made a regular contribution to the pages before nominating them. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 03:52, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need all these pages that are five years or so away? Home Lander (talk) 14:53, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

July 2018[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Wikipedia:Good articles/Summary into User:Nhatminh01/GA header. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. North America1000 15:32, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
