Doisneau et al[edit]

Well well, you've been making helpful edits for four years before anyone thought of welcoming you. Better late than never. Thank you for your polite comment on what was risibly described as a photograph by Doisneau; I can only suppose that the illustration was added by somebody who can't read simple French and knows little about Doisneau's style, postcards, etc.

The article on Doisneau isn't worthy of him -- which indeed I can say about virtually every photographer I can think of. Your help would be most welcome. Or indeed you could start an article on one of the many photographers who merits a good article but doesn't even get a poor one. (I think that the only kind who are overrepresented are minor celeb/fashion photographers who get their assistants to write them.) -- Hoary (talk) 21:53, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
