Marshall aid to the Netherlands was not cancelled. In fact, the Americans never threatened to cancel it. Friend is simply wrong on that score. The Americans only suspended Marshall aid to the Netherlands Indies. Not a major issue, because most of that had already been spent.

Welcome to Wikipedia[edit]

Hi Mockridge! Welcome to Wikipedia. I notice you have made some improvements. Thank you and well done.

You should see WP:WELCOME for useful information on Wikipedia. However, I would like to bring your attention to a few things:

  • When you make an edit, please fill out the edit summary by briefly describe the changes you have made and maybe a short rational for your change. This is helpful to other editors to understand your change.
  • Do not check the minor edit box. This is for formatting changes only. Changes to text and citations are not minor changes.
  • I see the comment you made at the top of this page was probably meant in regards to the edit you made to the Indonesian National Revolution article that Crisco 1492 reverted twice. He is not likely to see that comment here. The comment should have been 1) made on the edit summary; 2) made on Talk:Indonesian National Revolution; or 3) on User talk:Crisco 1492. On his talk page you only talk to him. On the article talk page others interested in the article may comment as well.
  • To add comments to talk pages, you go to those pages and click "New Section" at the top of the page (Be sure to give a title to the section) or click on the edit link next to a section title to add to a section. When making comments on a talk page make sure your comment starts on a new line by adding a blank line between yours and someone else's comment and sign your comment with "~~~~" so your name shows up with a time stamp. When you save the edit the four tildes (~~~~) get converted to something like this: Richard-of-Earth (talk) 10:09, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I hope these points help you. Please enjoy editing Wikipedia. Richard-of-Earth (talk) 10:09, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Mockridge13. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
