A kitten for you![edit]

Thanks for the new references on Imelda Marcos. They inspired me to do my own and finally fix that one section. On to the next, I suppose.

Disambiguation link notification for March 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Philippine Military Academy alumni, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page PNP. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:10, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:MistahPeemayer/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.europe-solidaire.org/spip.php?article15837. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ƒirefly ( t · c ) 14:05, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Article writing Advice[edit]

Hello! I noticed that your normally edit on martial law related articles so I was hoping you could give me some advice on this article I'm working on? Draft:Human Rights Violations Victims' Memorial Commission On the advice of some editors I've tried to remove the more brochure sound parts while keeping some explanations as to what the commission does. Ive also tried to expand its history although im still planning to add more recent new on it. Thank you! Firekiino (talk) 11:13, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Firekiino! My area of focus is the AFP during Martial Law, and Security Sector Reform. So yes our, interests intersect. But I am not too experienced yet in terms of article drafts, and I am not sure how to improve your current version of Draft:Human Rights Violations Victims' Memorial Commission. It looks good to me, just some suggestions. (1) Maybe add a short and fact-by-fact summary of events that have taken place during the Marcos Jr. administration. (In fact, maybe you could just move last paragraph of the lead and use it to create that section. That paragraph feels out of place in the lead.) (2) The Background section could also use some rewriting - the text is ok as part of a longer article , but is too detailed for a short backgrounder. (3) Your background section should also briefly describe the reason the agency was created. (4) I'm not sure how you will do this, but you should emphasize in the lead that the agency is "notable"... according to Wikipedia standards (WP:Notability) but with citations. Hard to do, but probably useful for getting the article out of draft. Suggest also that you ask other editors who are interested in the era, since they may also have inputs. I would try to see if initiatives under Security sector governance and reform in the Philippines connect to the HRVVMC, but SSGR has been mothballed, sanamagan. Good luck. - MistahPeemayer (talk) 11:45, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Alright ill keep that in mind. Thank you! Firekiino (talk) 13:52, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @MistahPeemayer! I just reviewed an article you wrote, Political detainees under the Marcos dictatorship. Though the article appears to be all good in terms of content, I would like to call to attention your practices in performing intra-wiki copies (when copying text from one article to another).

Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. Though you did add {{copied}} templates (and it was very helpful in finding what pages have been copied from!), the edit summary statement is still required and the more important component and I've added in these edit summary notices for you. If you'd like, you can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions; hope to see you around again! Chlod (say hi!) 01:43, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Noted with thanks, Sir/Madam. I often lose track of the different intrawiki sources I use (often several in one edit) so I resort to {{copied}} templates. But I will list specifics in future edits. Warm regads. - MistahPeemayer (talk) 02:12, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
