Rainbow?

• Fish in the John Day River, Oregon

Columbia River redband trout

Yep, it was based on the content of the article. However I will make a point about may of the state categories on species articles. Do we really need them? The projects are for collaboration. I not sure that most people interested in articles about a state are going to be working on species related articles. Also, for some of these, the number of state articles can get high. I'm of the mind that these should not be listed at the state level if they are in more then one state, but listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject United States instead. Streambed access

Saw you popped by Montana Stream Access Law. If you want to collaborate to get that suckerbear to GA (or better), I'm in. To that end, I popped a ton of research I've done in the past on the issue onto the talk page. As of January of this year, we have further refinement of the law. Edit war on Threads page

I'm not sure if this is the correct method of going about this but I would like help with arbitration over an edit war on the Threads page and talk page on the subject of the condition of a character's baby, the script for which is below:

139. Interior. Hospital. Night.

The baby is delivered in the hospital. JANE is in a bed and crying out when the pain is bad. Other patients take no notice of her. The body is being wrapped in the bloody cloth which it has just been wiped with. There is silence. The baby is given to JANE, who stares down at the bundle in her arms. Her face turns to horror and disgust. She pushes the baby away from her and open her mouth to scream.

Freeze frame.

Roll end credits.

Whereas explicit reference is not made to either stillbirth nor deformity, both are implied, the baby is "silent", which suggests that the infant is dead, and Jane looks away with "horror and disgust" which suggests that there is something to be disgusted about. It should also be noted that it is set after a nuclear war. Several people have made cases on the talk page (mine can be found at the bottom) but Nick Cooper has persistently reverted any edits that made reference to deformation. He has also inserted a warning (which I have removed) that he would report any further edit as vandalism. It might be helpful to watch the last 5 or 10 minutes of the film which can be found on YouTube. Hayek79 (talk) 22:05, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

The cutthroat trout (Oncorhynchus clarki) is a fish species of the salmonidae family native to cold-water tributaries of the Pacific Ocean, Rocky Mountains and Great Basin in North America. Cutthroat trout are popular gamefish, especially among anglers who enjoy fly fishing. The common name "cutthroat" refers to the distinctive red coloration on the underside of the lower jaw. The specific name clarki was given to honor explorer William Clark, coleader of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Cutthroat trout usually inhabit and spawn in small to moderately large, clear, well-oxygenated, shallow rivers with gravel bottoms. They also reproduce in clear, cold, moderately deep lakes. (talk page stalker) Usually, these infoboxes can be subjected to ever-expanding nuances to the point where a person could (and can!) choose between Over 30 possible Dr. Who userboxes (grin). So, no reason a person can't go over to WP:USERBOX and root around in other examples and either create a faculty/staff box or a more inclusive userbox design. The big use of these is to create categories where like-minded people can find each other. Oh, did I mention that WikiPedia can become a complete and utter time sink? ALA Annual in Las Vegas

Hey Mike, I was in Vegas this weekend for the American Library Association Annual. I helped with this presentation, where I met Henning Arlitsch. Just want to say you've done some great work with the MSU folks, and it's really neat to see library staff taking an enthusiastic approach to WP. It was a general trend at the conference - while there is still some dubiousness, the library world is really starting to explore how they can build relationships with WP. Fort Assinniboine

Please help me understand your rationale in removing official and scholarly entries from the links for this article. I'll concede that some links are designed for tourism; however, visiting the fort is extremely difficult and this information helps facilitate visits. Some is from the state. Some is from the local chamber. I feel your wholesale removal was a bit overboard, but as I don't really understand what the objections are, I don't want to presume to undo them. Cool article on Burlingame, I did a wee bit of copyediting. Not sure what MOS has to say about citation to Credo, so I used "format" in the cite template. Open to better options. Also, don't do commas between multiple citations on-wiki, the software puts in a space. I had one hidden text question where there was some ambiguity, but otherwise, nice work! Just a side comment that the article is a bit one-sided (and no, I'm not posting this there and no, I am not going to do the GAN review, particularly given that you bailed on the Brook trout GAN). The 1863-4 vigilantism is mostly supportable in retrospect as a necessary response to legitimate problems in Bannack and Virginia City, but thereafter (notably in places like Helena) it devolved by the late 1870s into a mob mentality. You somewhat misrepresent the "pax vigilanticus" concept, which was a backlash against the vigilantes. (History notes a couple times they almost hung an innocent party and several hangings were people who were of dubious guilt, note [3] and [4] ). You fail to mention critics in the time such as Cornelius Hedges. Also, the "revisionist views" section has problems. First off a) it's a right-wing POV to say "revisionist" in the way you are stating it ("alternative" might be a more neutral word) and b) it's a poorly done section, structured as a straw man argument and unbalanced by simply putting in two big block quotes with no analysis. You present little explanation of legitimate criticism of the vigilante movement (other than the lead statement - undiscussed elsewhere in the article, "Some believe that they hanged innocent people to further personal interests ..."). While I personally am not convinced of the "Plummer was really innocent" view (I am a 4th-generation Montanan, after all, seeped in the tradition) but it deserves more than the dismissive treatment of an unexplained blockquote. Though comprehensiveness is not a GA criteria, you may want to consider adding material on the Masonic influence (example and you have completely omitted any explanation of "3-7-77" which is rather relevant, (if complex) as it's long been the unofficial motto of the Montana Highway Patrol (used to be painted on their cars, it's still on the badge). All that said, want a photo of Helena's famous hanging tree? I know where the one in Jefferson County is, it's easy to access (there are rumored to be a couple others, but that one is in some photos at MHS with dead bodies hanging...) (talk page stalker)I can't speak for Mike but if I had been the person who tossed the video it probably would be because the "streamers" imitate baitfish, plus the 'conehead" design is designed to get it to go quite a ways under the water, plus it's quite large, probably would be tough to cast with a fly rod. That's why the video was "non-typical." While a "sculpin" can be tied in the manner of a "fly" (as here) and can be tied to sink or float, this one is basically a lure more than a "fly" due to its size and weight. Help with changing a file name if possible

I uploaded a MSU Historical Photo into the wiki commons and I forgot to change the original title to a descriptive title. Is there a way to change the file name? The file in question is Parc-000542.jpg in Montana State University Historical Photographs category; the title should be "Kappa Sigma house". Thanks for any help you might be able to offer! Another mission

As you know, I did up Albert, Alfred and Chris Schlechten. I'd give my eyeteeth to see if we can upload some of their images that were postcards published prior to 1923. But I have no way to know what was or was not published. Anything you can do via your MSU connections would be quite useful to the project. Also, Chris Schlechten's famous yearbook photos are post-1923, but it would be cool if MSU would consider releasing at least one spoof image of Clarence Mjork or something else representative (maybe the track team tripping over the hurdles). Full disclosure: My dad was one of the young photographers who worked for Chris back in the 1950s. Anyway, I am giving you the nod to take a look at the article and if your sources at Moo U allow you to expand it, you'd have my blessing (and supervision, of course... I gotta be me...) Question about deleting Template:Did you know nominations/Trout & Salmonid Collection at Montana State University

Perhaps I'm wrong, Mike, but shouldn't DYK nomination pages such as the one on the Trout & Salmonid Collection at Montana State University be kept for documentary purposes even when they do not pass? I saw this first hand with a nomination that I withdrew last winter, and a more recent DYK nomination that I reviewed with issues that were never resolved was likewise kept, despite not passing. I've never seen a DYK nomination page deleted before, so I was a bit surprised to see it happen. If I'm mistaken about this then please let me know. Thanks!
