Regarding the COI tag on the article. Sandesh Lamsal[edit]

Hello user:Macbeejack, Greetings from Nepal. Just noticed that you have added COI tag on the article Sandesh Lamsal. I too thought about the COI and neutrality issues on that article, but after checking it, I found that other independent volunteers have re-written the article with the neutral point of view. So, can you please check the article once and consider about removing the tags you put there or suggest me your points which are needed to be improved there? I think I can contribute more if anything dissatisfies your point of view. Thanks WikiEditorNepali (talk) 16:16, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WikiEditorNepali, The user SandeshLamsalNepal created the article itself, which makes it obvious that there is a conflict of interest. Additionally, I saw that a particular IP address attempted to remove the Notability tag without offering comprehensive coverage of the topic. But i am thankful to Melcous, who added the tag again. Therefore, I don't believe that anonymous users are making any helpful edits at this time. Macbeejack 06:17, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I totally agree with you. I thought to moderate the issue and remove only the conflict of interest and pov, tags after seeing user:Melcous's edit, who did an excellent work by revising the article and I think she is an independent volunteer with No COI with the topic. I Think we can trust the edits of User:Melcous. Similarly, the point of notability isn't much digestible for me too. Let's not touch the notability tag, while we can see that the article contains the Neutral pov and no COI after user:Melcous's edits. So, I think we can agree to this point and remove these two of the tags only. WikiEditorNepali (talk) 09:20, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is fine that you tried but the project is much more organised than you thought. Everyone's story is public and they tell a lot. You, for example, are obviously SandeshLamsalNepal. You are allowed to change accounts provided (a) you don't go back to your old account (if you do, you need to use one of them to only edit articles that the other one does not edit) and (b) don't try to mislead others into thinking the two accounts are different persons. As long as you try to circumvent the system and mislead editors instead of complying with WP:COI, tags are warranted to warn readers and editors about potential issues arising from allowing people to toot their own horn on Wikipedia. Hello user:usedtobecool
Well, in Wikipedia it's not necessary, somebody's assumptions to be 100% true and I choose to stand with my opinion. Thank you for your explanation and time. I will not to waste my time and energy in the pointless argument, rather contribute to other important articles. Cheers WikiEditorNepali (talk) 06:50, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
