Your edits on EI[edit]

Hello, I'm NijikasDorito. I noticed that you made an edit to EI which did not appear to conform with our policies and guidelines; I've removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Nijika🥁📐 19:40, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at EI. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Nijika🥁📐 03:11, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at EI, you may be blocked from editing. Nijika🥁📐 03:22, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to your edits at EI, you put information about E/I in this page. This page is an disambiguation page, and thus should not contain too much information that should be put in other topics concerned. Additionally, the information you put lacks any sourcing of any kind. Nijika🥁📐 03:28, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop trying to add information about E/I to the EI page. I know it seems like a subtle difference but the information does not belong on the EI page. Think of EI as like an index or a guide - it helps people find the right place, but isn't an article in itself. I have blocked you from the EI page for now because of your repeated insertion of this information despite warnings. When the block expires, please don't continue this behavior or you risk a wider or longer block. ♠PMC(talk) 01:26, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chaos. My name is Kevin and Jaxon is my 13 yr old son. He is severely autistic and doesnt comprehend the difference between EI and E/I. When he finds something interesting he goes on a deep dive to learn as much as possible about the current subject. He thinks he is helping by putting what he knows into this particular wiki page. I am sorry for any trouble he is causing. He just loves certain odd things, and the E/I bug is his current love. He means no harm, i promise you. We continue to ask him and tell him the difference, but he really thinks he is helping to "update" the page. I know the joy and pride we see in his eyes when he makes these edits does not take away from the fact that he is doing something that is incorrect. Its just impossible to explain to him that he is doing something wrong. He will shortly find another odd thing to love and wont be a bother to you and the page for much longer. I simply ask for a little patience until he does. Again, i am sorry for all the inconvience he is causing.
Sincerely,

File copyright problem with File:120px-1a81ji3rv7zk.ufh5rp.45936614.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:120px-1a81ji3rv7zk.ufh5rp.45936614.png. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Vladlen Manilov / 05:14, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:120px-1a837o9ucqkk.1i5mi4.45936614.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:120px-1a837o9ucqkk.1i5mi4.45936614.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 18:11, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the parent of this editor and contributor. How can I communicate with you directly to resolve this issue? Whatever specific issue there is? The disruptive edits aren't clearly laid out for my ASD son to understand. Whatever we can do to get him unblocked would be appreciated. Thank you 2601:980:8200:2240:C074:368C:6168:764C (talk) 00:31, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There's nothing you can do. Your son is unable to edit Wikipedia within policy. During the short time he's been here, he has already been blocked once and never responded to warnings. Indeed, he's never talked at all. Wikipedia editors are expected to collaborate. See also WP:NOTTHERAPY.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:37, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
He doesnt ever communicate back or respond because he is severly autistic and i only check his emails and notifications once every few days. He is oblivious to the messages and notifications. For him to ever be able to collaborate again, what can be done? Again, this isnt a blatant disrespectful or disregard, just his different capabilities. Again i apologize for not being more aware of his issues editing 2601:980:8200:2240:C074:368C:6168:764C (talk) 00:54, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to start by saying that (horrible as it seems) we have been hoaxed many times by people disrupting the project, then coming in under another identity posing as a parent or older sibling -- all for "fun". But I don't think this is such a case.
I know I speak for other editors when I say I sympathize with your situation. I'm particularly moved by your mention elsewhere of the pride your son takes in contributing to Wikipedia, and it breaks my heart to think how dispirited he is likely to be at being blocked from doing that -- for now. I say "for now" because we have a lot of editors here -- successful, valued editors -- who are "on the spectrum" (all parts of it, really). But it seems like Jaxon will need to develop some additional coping skills before he'll be able to join their ranks, so I hope that, as you say, he soon finds another focus for his interests to take his mind off Wikipedia, and that some years from now he will be ready to contribute here.
When you think Jaxon may be ready for that, our "teahouse" will be a good place to get advice on how to test the waters again. (At that time be sure to mention that Jaxon is currently blocked, because that formality will have to be dealt with -- just creating a new account won't be a good idea.) Good luck. EEng 07:29, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
thank you. I'll make a note of it 2601:980:8200:2240:C074:368C:6168:764C (talk) 14:05, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I truly appreciate your compassion and consideration of the different capabilities of him. Thank you for taking the time and assisting us. 2601:980:8200:2240:C074:368C:6168:764C (talk) 14:07, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
