I wonder if you'd consider taking a look at this one, after your useful critique at the previous lists? Harrias talk 22:19, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi Harrias, I have just completed my review. Cheers – Ianblair23 (talk) 10:02, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

I shall continue to revert your edits for several reasons. (1) Failure to provide a reliable source for your changes. (2) Making major changes to an established article without due discussion. (3) Failure to use edit summary. I think that you have got your facts wrong, and have this person mixed up. I shall make a report to on the admins noticeboard if you persist, or do not provide a valid explanation for your edits. - Morphenniel (talk) 10:14, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

My sincere thanks

Wikipedia:Featured topic candidates/Laureus World Sports Awards/archive1 has just been promoted to featured topic. Thanks for your help in getting it there! The Rambling Man (talk) 21:42, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi TRM, it was a pleasure reviewing them and I'm glad I played my part in getting this to featured topic status. Congratulations again for leading the charge. Hope to see the ESPY Awards achieve featured topic status as well. Cheers – Ianblair23 (talk) 10:06, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Millennia in the Republic of Upper Volta

I have nominated Category:Millennia in the Republic of Upper Volta and two sub-cats for merging to Burkina Faso. Please see the discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2018 February 19.

I do like the appearance of the templates you made in Category:2nd-millennium establishments templates by country. However, Template:2nd-millennium establishments in the Republic of Upper Volta will become obsolete if the category is merged. Also, as it's only used on one page, a template is not really needed. Would you consent to it being manually merged to the target category page? My usual practice has been to combine multiple territory names into one table, e.g. at Category:20th-century establishments in Russia. – Fayenatic London 10:32, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

Well, the appearance which I believe you devised for these templates has now been rolled out to myriads of category pages. Category:2nd-millennium establishments in Burkina Faso incorporates the period that is needed from Template:2nd-millennium establishments in the Republic of Upper Volta, so may we delete the template as a housekeeping matter? – Fayenatic London 22:57, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi Fayenatic, no objection from me. Go ahead. Cheers – Ianblair23 (talk) 00:51, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for that. I made corresponding changes to Template:2nd-millennium establishments in Grenada and then incorporated it into the one page that transcluded it, Category:2nd-millennium establishments in Grenada. Is it OK for me to delete that template as well, and then tag the category for deletion as empty? – Fayenatic London 20:42, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi Fayenatic, yes please do. Cheers – Ianblair23 (talk) 01:43, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi again Ian, Template:17th-century establishments in Grenada was also good work, but the table of years is not really needed, so I have used the standard template in Category:17th-century establishments in Grenada and suppressed the table.
Would you agree to delete this template also? – Fayenatic London 09:53, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi Fayenatic, no objections from me. Cheers – Ianblair23 (talk) 00:34, 18 August 2018 (UTC)

Netball templates

Hi Ian, I was wondering if you might be able to help sort out a template problem that seems (?) to be from one of your templates. I thought I'd take a crack at creating a rosters list for the netball competition at this year's Commonwealth Games, and it seems as if the only other one we have is the one you did for the 2006 games. The problem is that, since they're template-based - see Template:2006 Commonwealth Games England netball team roster - there seems to be an error (I think in Template:IFNA player?) that is throwing a ton of "<span="font-size:140%;">" into the template. Any chance you could work out what's going on there? I have nowhere near the template skills needed to fix it, and I'd love to be able to do this year's games. The Drover's Wife (talk) 08:49, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi The Drover's Wife, I have fixed the template. Cheers – Ianblair23 (talk) 02:07, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Thank you! The Drover's Wife (talk) 02:59, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Sorry to bother you again, but is there any chance you'd be able to alter this template so clubs can be disambiguated? Plenty of netball club names are not terribly original, and it doesn't appear to give me the option to do it as it is. The Drover's Wife (talk) 08:59, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi The Drover's Wife, please see this diff. Cheers – Ianblair23 (talk) 10:49, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

DYK for Speed skating at the 1924 Winter Olympics – Men's 500 metres

On 21 April 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Speed skating at the 1924 Winter Olympics – Men's 500 metres, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Charles Jewtraw (pictured) was the first Winter Olympics gold medallist, winning the 500 m speed skating event at the 1924 Games? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Speed skating at the 1924 Winter Olympics – Men's 500 metres. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Speed skating at the 1924 Winter Olympics – Men's 500 metres), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Congratulations to you for getting an article you improved mentioned in the DYK section of Wikipedia’s Main Page. Thanks for uploading File:Judo Federation of Australia logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:03, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

Noble Nobels

Hi Ian. Great work on fixing up the Nobel list currently sitting at TFL. It got me thinking that probably all the other Nobel lists suffer from the same problems, e.g. List of Nobel laureates in Literature recipient names sort by first name. Are you working from a script or a Word macro or something to get the fixes in, or hand-crafting it all? If the former, would you mind blitzing the other lists in the series? If the latter, not to worry, it's a lot of work... Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 07:29, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Queue 4 fix not quite complete

Ianblair23, when you fixed Queue 4, you didn't add the "by" after "coached", so the hook is worded strangely. If you could add "by", I think the hook would work. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 07:20, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
