For Business and Economics Wikiproject persons URGENT Please help[edit]

The RTV-Right to Vanish page, (International Services Trade Information Agency, which focuses on globalization data, a new agency in Geneva, Switzerland, which is part of the Business and Economics Wikiproject topics is up for deletion because some administrator wanted to puruse a personal vendetta. Now they are calling it a conflict of interest, because I, as the Executive Director of this agency, wrote the page. There isn't anyone who can write this better than me. Even my staff aren't really that good at English. Please, can someone help back me up here? The page is going to be deleted by people who don't know anything about globalization statistics. It was originally marked for deletion by a man who I had an argument with about a human rights site.

Also, I have a large number of links in that page, which are really important to describing the general area of what this work is about. I've got many compliments about this work, and I don't want it to be ruined by people who don't have a clue what this topic is about. Thanks.

I'm sorry to bother you, but I need people to act fast, please. Thanks. RTV-Right to Vanish 14:20, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:VTlogo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:VTlogo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. List of Sort Codes of the United Kingdom[edit]

I don't think it's helpful to say you are reverting to a pre-vandalism version here. Personally, I prefer the version which was in place before your edits. Chrisieboy (talk) 09:57, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was clearly not vandalism, and it was a bit of a stretch (to put it kindly) to describe it as such. The table was reformated in line with WP style on company names. 136.8.152.13 (talk) 14:21, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(Above comment in reply to comment of (Chrisieboy) at 09:57, 5 March 2008 which also stated that reversion was not removing vandalism. 136.8.152.13 (talk) 12:22, 7 March 2008 (UTC))[reply]

AfD nomination of Loughborough Students' Union[edit]

I have nominated Loughborough Students' Union, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Loughborough Students' Union (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Orphaned non-free media (Image:VTlogo.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VTlogo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:10, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Banistmo logo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Banistmo logo.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --15:14, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No content in Category:HBOS Group[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:HBOS Group, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:HBOS Group has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:HBOS Group, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
