Orphaned non-free media (File:USC NewYork.jpg)[edit]

In particular, which reliable sources say such things as that he "rushed like a fresh whirlwind into Ukrainian art"? Provide references.

This "Russian and Soviet artists from 1900 to 1980; catalog. London, 1989" -- what is it, exactly? (ISBN? OCLC?) And how is it significant that he's merely "listed" within it? (If on the other hand his works are discussed within it, then summarize the discussion.)

The long list of "Some works" is uninformative and useless. Either cut the entire list, or reduce the number of items to ten or fewer, retitle the result as "Notable works", and for each work briefly explain the notability, of course with references.

"he left a significant artistic heritage": if this means "many paintings", then say so; if it doesn't, then say what it means.
