Editing[edit]

How will I know if my edit is approved? --Gracievalor (talk) 18:56, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! For most articles, such as United States Attorney General, there is no approval process. Your edit is live as soon as you click the [Publish changes] button. For more information, see Help:Editing. GoingBatty (talk) 19:19, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Advice and consent"[edit]

Please discuss your proposed change at the United States Attorney General article's talk page and gain consensus. The language of the U.S. Constitution is important and not susceptible to editing for clarity. Thanks. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 19:05, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am still confused on if I am using the right talk page, this is all new to me. I would like to discuss my new edit, the one that has not been revised yet. I have been posting questions and I now understand that I should reach out to the person who is undoing my edits. Regarding my new addition about the presidents power of appointment I would love some feedback on the addition! --Gracievalor (talk) 21:16, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

Please help me with... If my edit is published without needed approval then how come the page reverts back to its previous stage after a few hours?--Gracievalor (talk) 20:26, 14 May 2020 (UTC) Gracievalor (talk) 20:26, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gracievalor, If you take a look at the article's history, visible here, you'll see that someone else undid your edit because they disagreed with you. Its now time to discuss the edit with the user in question on the talk page, as I see you have initiated. As a heads up, when someone undoes your edit, you should not immediatly re-do it, as that is edit warring. Instead, leave a note on the article's talk page, or on the talk page of the user who reverted it, to have a discussion. That is a key part of the Bold, Revert, Discuss cycle that governs editing on Wikipeida. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 20:48, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
