Guidance on footnotes[edit]

Footnotes can be added inline to the body of your text using <ref> tags. An example looks like:

JavaScript is used on webpages today.<ref>Smith, John (2005), ''JavaScript 101'', ISBN 938223445333</ref>

And the resultant text would look like: JavaScript is used on webpages today.1

With the superscript 1 being a link to a footnote at the bottom of the page automatically created by inserting the code: {{reflist}}

An easy to follow standard guide is at Referencing for beginners with citation templates, an online video demonstration can be played at Footnotes demo.ogv and a primer for general editing is at How to edit a page. Thanks, (talk) 16:21, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

SCWR hydrogen cogeneration model[edit]

Hi, looking at SCWR hydrogen cogeneration model you have inserted references to figures and numbered references that do not appear eg [36]. Does this mean this is copied from somewhere? Is this your own work? We really need to have more real references that show this is a notable process. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:29, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article SCWR hydrogen cogeneration model has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Original research. While both super-critical water reactors and copper-chlorine hydrogen generation are notable and well-established topics, this article appears to present new facts and conclusions not present in the supporting documents. The use of figure references while no figures are present supports the belief that this article represents the author's unpublished research.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Your comments on my talk page[edit]

After I proposed that your SCWR hydrogen cogeneration model article be merged, you wrote a comment on my talk page. Since the comment was relevant to the merge proposal, I have copied it to the article's talk page and responded there. However, I do have a useful suggestion for you: since you claim that this is a work in progress that might well be improved at some time in the future when you have time to do so, might I suggest that you move the page into your user space and work on it there until it is ready for final publication?
