Welcome![edit]

Hello, EwisEwee, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! 331dot (talk) 12:44, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you knew to declare a conflict of interest, what is the nature of your conflict? 331dot (talk) 12:45, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Grafterr has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet requirements of WP:CORP. Coverage is routine churnalism about funding.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello SmartSE,
I am writing to address your proposed deletion of the company page for Grafterr, a cloud-based software company with offices in Edinburgh, Scotland, and London, England. I believe that the proposed deletion is a mistake, and I would like to provide reasons why the page should not be deleted.
Notability and Significance: Grafterr is a software company that has made significant contributions to the field of cloud-based point of sale in the Uk and I have provided all the news and magazines articles published in this context. The company's presence in two major cities, Edinburgh and London, indicates its regional importance in the technology sector.
Coverage of Corporate Information: While the deletion proposal suggests that the coverage of Grafterr is routine journalism about funding, it's essential to note that Wikipedia articles about companies often include information about their growth, as it is a vital aspect of their development and growth. However, I have removed this part too just to emphasize that there is no mention about funding.
Encyclopedic Value: Wikipedia serves as a valuable resource for information on a wide range of topics, including companies like Grafterr. Readers often turn to Wikipedia to learn about notable businesses, their history, and their contributions to various industries. Deleting this page would deprive users of access to valuable and reliable information.
Potential for Improvement: If there are concerns about the quality or neutrality of the article, I am open to working on improving it. Wikipedia articles are collaborative efforts, and I am willing to make the necessary edits to address any issues raised by the community.
In light of the points mentioned above, I kindly request that you reconsider the close of the proposed deletion of the Grafterr Wikipedia page. I believe that the page meets the criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia and provides valuable information to users interested in learning about this company.
The article was mistakenly flagged for focusing on the company's value and growth rather than funding, but it has since been enhanced to offer an impartial and thorough overview of Grafterr's activities, history, and influence within the technology sector. Additionally, any content related to the company's value that raised concerns has been carefully reviewed and removed to ensure compliance with Wikipedia's guidelines for neutrality and verifiability.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

The best place to argue against the deletion of the article is in the deletion discussion, where you have already posted this. However, please write in your own words without the aid of an AI. 331dot (talk) 13:23, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello there, I am sorry for posting my comment here as well as I have seen the nomination post on my talk page and I thought it would be beneficial if I explained here too why we should preserve the page, the process is also a bit stressful to be honest.
I have used "bard" to clarify my points as I had a long reply. I haven't used LLM in anything related to Article, only to clarify the points in a comment, but noted, I will get all of the replies in my own words, thanks for bringing this up.
I work in one of the company's subsidiaries, as the company works in India, UK, and has two offices in the UK. My reason behind creating the article is simple, as I see a lot of comments and questions regarding the company on a regular basis, I figured out that it will be great to create a Wikipedia page, especially that the company changed its name recently from ePOS Hybrid to Grafterr. And this caused a lot of confusion.
I have read "Articles For Creation" and then I was clear since day one that I have a conflict of interest!! So I don't get why it's nominated for deletion? Especially that the company starts to receive a lot of messages from scammers mentioning the nomination of deletion and ask for fees to help me removing it? I feel it's like blackmailing. I have reported this too to paid-en-wp.
Anyway, I believe that the info left right now are purely facts just to help out people searching for info about it and to know that ePOS Hybrid is still Grafterr from a neutral source. I will send the rest of my comments to the deletion page, your help in this is kindly appreciated. EwisEwee (talk) 10:24, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I ask again(as I did above) what is the nature of your conflict of interest? A general description is fine. 331dot (talk) 13:25, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There are also no sources in reliable news outlets that mention this company. The missive above is great, but we need reliable sourcing. Oaktree b (talk) 13:33, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Oaktree!
I believe you couldn't find reliable news outlets because the company changed the name recently this year from ePOS Hybrid, the company was founded in Edinburgh, so most of the outlets are based in Scotland, and there are many British based, here are many of them:
Before the name was changed:

Please use ePOS hybrid or Grafterr and then maybe associate it with Scotland or Edinburgh to find many of them.

Please let make know if there is other points I could clarify. EwisEwee (talk) 10:29, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I believe I have explained this too in my comment above just now. Please let me know if this is enough? Or is there is anything else I haven't clarified. EwisEwee (talk) 10:25, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Draft[edit]

Hello, since you have a Conflict of Interest, you should have created Grafterr via the WP:Articles For Creation process, where it would have been approved by a reviewer. Also, some of your edits to articles appear to be done by a LLM. In regards to this, please see WP:LLM. Ca talk to me! 13:45, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, I didn't get this point while creating the page, all what I understood back then from "Articles for creation" is if I have conflict of interest I should clarify this, which I did. I have just used LLMs in edit summaries and not in the page body to be honest just to save time. Which I will not do again. At the moment, the page has just three lines of text!! I'm not sure what else I should eliminate or what the next step should be. Your help would be appreciated. EwisEwee (talk) 10:33, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
