Hi there!

Just to let you know, I wasn't the one who created the submission Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Injil and Caesar. I moved it from WP:AFC/R (see original diff) because I thought it was an above-average article about a subject that didn't already exist. :P Looking at Gospel in Islam, the submission is almost a word-for-word copy.

Thanks for finding this out! Michaelzeng7 (talk) 02:20, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Sorry about hitting you with the template; the AFC helper script adds those automatically to whoever created the page. DoriTalkContribs 07:30, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
It's not a problem. ;) Cheers! Michaelzeng7 (talk) 20:15, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/2012 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Singles final

Hi Dori,

I think it is unfair that you are rejecting my article for the 2012 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Singles final, when there is one for the 2008 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Singles final, the 2013 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Singles final, the 2012 US Open – Men's Singles final, the 2012 French Open – Men's Singles final, and the 2012 Australian Open – Men's Singles final.

Why do those five other finals get their own pages but the 2012 Wimbledon final, which is more historic than any of them except the 2008 Wimbledon final, is getting summarily rejected. It is totally different from the page for the tournament draw that you cited.

Your criteria for rejecting my article would have to apply for those other five pages but you are only applying it to my article.

Can you please consider retracting your rejection in light of this double standard.

ryan889. Dory what is your deal! why should you addd liks to wikipedia but i shouldn't?

What if others rejected your editions. look at this website again to see if there are even any ads there: http://filekangaroo.com/

Weston Sailing Club - decline

Hi

Just trying work out what I need to do to get the Weston Sailing Club article accepted?

The History of WSC is on the www.weston.org.uk because I put it there. The history was produced for the club, by a club member. There is no copy right infringement. The original of the history is lodged at the Southampton city council's public records, so it in open domain anyway. I spent the time creating a Wiki Article (for the first time) as I felt the history was of encyclopaedic interest.

what can I do?

This is in regards to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Weston Sailing Club by Mzjfb7‎ (talk · contribs).
I'm not an expert on UK copyright, and there's no way for someone to tell looking at that PDF to tell that the content been freed into the public domain.

My suggestion is to try a clean slate — pretend you know nothing at all about the club, and look for verifiable and reliable independent third party sources with significant coverage. Then, write the article based solely upon what those sources say, not the club's info. DoriTalkContribs 07:30, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

This is a bit Chicken and Egg... and a having self confessed non-expert of UK copyright law decline an article on copyright grounds is perplexing. There is no other data about Weston Sailing club in the public domain, other than what I stated in my original query. The document was typed on a typewriter, I OCR'd the document and created the PDF. The Author is deceased. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mzjfb7 (talkcontribs) 08:46, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Dear Editor,

I've submitted this page to be reviewed by Wikipedia yesterday but it appears to be declined because it was a blank submission. This is rather peculiar considering I did in fact edit the page and saved it. When I view my project page, the copy is there along with all the other references for each point made.

I don't quite understand what I should do right now as the advice given was to "any extra text above your entry is removed, as it may be causing it to hide and not be shown to the reviewer."

The submission has been edited via the "edit source" tab. There isn't anything above the entry itself.

Please let me know how the project can be resent to you for viewing without having this problem. I'm not sure if this will help but here's the link I copied from the url bar: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/Dealmates

Your patience is this matter is very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hello,

Thank you checking my article. I appreciate that it is not ready for publication, and I definitely want to uphold Wikipedia's standards.

All of the information in this article comes from the core Xcrawl book, listed below with its ISBN number. Can you tell me how I need to reference this to make the article ready for publication?

For your convenience, here is the link to that page.

Thanks again for your time! I love Wikipedia and am a huge supporter.

be well,

just a liitle ?? on my article

You mentioned that my submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Can you give me some suggestions, what do you think can be made better? What about the neutral point of view? Ideas? There are referenced sources, are there not enough?? I would like to re-write and have it accepted but would like to know how.. Thanks so much and have a great day!

Trust Automation declined

Hi, Recently you declined my submission for Trust Automation, citing copy write issues. I am the marketing manager for Trust Automation and authored everything myself. There are no copy write issues. Could you please review again? Please let me know how we can get this approved and posted on Wikipedia. Rmitchellhee (talk) 22:37, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Deletion of the page Amit Phalke

Hi,

I think there was enough reference on the page about Amit Phalke. Infant there were articles having his statement too. Despite that, the page has been deleted.

I see a lot other pages without references & citation being active on Wikipedia. I think the page Amit Phalke should be retrieved & made live.

Thanks. Pooja — Preceding unsigned comment added by Poojasudrik (talkcontribs) 10:59, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
