Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page S. Epatha Merkerson, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Changes are corrections made by S. Epatha Merkerson[edit]

I consistently look on Wikipedia for false information or errors and will continue to change those things that are not a part of my life experiences. Wikipedia has continuously allowed outright lies and inconsistencies including death notices. The changes that have been made are made by me…S. Epatha Merkerson. November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Harobouri. I noticed that you recently removed content from S. Epatha Merkerson without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. December 2022[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to S. Epatha Merkerson, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on S. Epatha Merkerson. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Archer1234 (talk) 13:55, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am making those changes. S. Epatha Merkerson. There have consistently been errors in this page; including changing my birthplace to Ethiopia. I will continue to edit as I see fit for my name, my birthplace, my life. Delpl257 (talk) 13:59, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Delpl257. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page S. Epatha Merkerson, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Archer1234 (talk) 13:28, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Birth Name[edit]

Information icon Thank you for making a report about Delpl257 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring. Reporting edit warring users is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia, resolution and removal of editors causing editing disputes to disrupt the community. However, it appears that the editor you reported may either not have engaged in edit warring nor violated the three-revert rule, the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned, or your report was malformed. If the user continues to cause harm to other Wikipedia editors after a recent warning, please report it again. TheClubSilencio (talk) 19:18, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 19:56, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is S. Epatha Merkerson. I made those changes. Someone has used Wikipedia to change my name, my place of birth and created an obituary, and listed my siblings as deceased. It is my name, I know where I was born, all of siblings are listed. You have no right to block my ability to keep my personal information under your control. Unblock[edit]

I have been accused of disruptive editing on a page about me. My name is S. Epatha Merkerson. I have made corrections because there have been too many errors on the page that bares my name. I don’t know who Bbb23 is and why it thinks it knows more about me than I do. Editing on the page has change my place of birth, claimed my siblings were dead, created an obituary…no one should have the right to block my ability to correct errors on my page!
