Deletion discussion about Wallo Brands[edit]

Hello CharlesBNB, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Wallo Brands, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wallo Brands.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|BuySomeApples}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Scholaro moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Scholaro. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BoraVoro (talk) 09:48, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for the newly created article. Please have a look at Wikipedia:Citation overkill and try to avoid adding a disproportionate amount of references to support your statements. Note that the presence of many citations can be counterproductive: not only does citation overkill impact the readability of an article, it can call the notability of the subject into question by editors. Broc (talk) 12:41, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Broc, thanks for the explanation. I have removed overkilling citations to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. CharlesBNB (talk) 13:14, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Except you didn't really fix the issue. There are six references to support the relatively uncontroversial statement "He is the founder of the fashion labels POAN (Peoples of All Nations)". Just pick your best reliable secondary source, no need to add six of them. Same applies for most other citations on the page. If you want to add additional reading material that you think is important but you don't know where to source in-line, you can put it in a "further reading" section. Broc (talk) 13:42, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I have removed the unnecessary sources and picked the secondary sources. Please let me know if it stills need to be fixed. CharlesBNB (talk) 14:00, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:The photo of Georg Weissacher was clicked by the photographer Mariano Vivanco.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://www.linkedin.com/in/georg-weissacher-09071646/overlay/photo/ and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. XJ Music moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to XJ Music. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. Notice

The article Shayamal Vallabhjee has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sources are passing mentions, interviews, profiles and some of them are not even reliable. There is no significant coverage in third party reliable sources that discuss the subject directly and in details. Fails WP:GNG and WP:BIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GSS💬 15:03, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the explanation @GSS. I have removed the proposed deletion because several third-party sources discussing the subject directly are deemed reliable for establishing notability. His presence is also acknowledged on other Wikipedia pages like (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kings_XI_Punjab_in_2018) and (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_2018_Indian_Premier_League_personnel_changes). Nomination of Shayamal Vallabhjee for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Shayamal Vallabhjee is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shayamal Vallabhjee until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

GSS💬 04:29, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Baltic Studios, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]

Hello, CharlesBNB. Thank you for your work on Renzo Vitale. Klbrain, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

One of the problems with giving multiple references (excessive citations) is that it makes it clear that most of the references are the result of churnalism. So, I suggest being more selective with the referencing, preferring the language version of article in the language of the project (in this case, English). There's also quite a lot of repetition between section, so the current version could do with a bit of a prune!

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Klbrain (talk) 20:22, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Klbrain, thanks for your insights! I agree that being more selective with references and favoring the English language version of articles will help alleviate the issue of churnalism and improve clarity. I will work on pruning the repetitive sections to streamline the content. CharlesBNB (talk) 17:32, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

April 2024[edit]

Information icon

Hello CharlesBNB. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:CharlesBNB. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=CharlesBNB|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Do you have any paid editing to declare? Classicwiki (talk) If you reply here, please ping me. 17:02, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:CharlesBNB, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=CharlesBNB|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. You don't have your talk page edit rights revoked, so you can always disclose so now. '''[[User:CanonNi]]''' (talk|contribs) 01:18, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I comprehend the situation, but regrettably, I was unavailable when this transpired. Upon my return, I discovered that my account had already been blocked. As for the allegation of sockpuppetry, I have no direct involvement with the other account; it belongs to my brother. Should the editors require it, I am willing to divulge information about my brother's account as well. I operate with integrity, unaware of the requirement for payment disclosure, and this incident marks my first and final foray into paid editing. It feels unjust to have my other pages deleted, especially those for which I was not contracted. I have already submitted a request for unblocking, and I sincerely hope to be granted one last chance. CharlesBNB (talk) 03:36, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You were in no way "unaware". Other editors have warned you multiple times on your talk page and have informed you how to disclose so. Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Request reason:

I made a mistake by not disclosing my paid editing. I was hired for a single page, and now I want to disclose it on my talk page. From now on, I will not engage in paid editing work, and if I do, I will disclose it on my talk page. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • I Confirm that I have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • I have been compensated for my work on a single project (Iulia and Delia), for which I will disclosed on my talk page. I want to emphasize that I have no affiliation or conflict of interest with any other subject I have written about or created.
  • User:Elizzzzz is not directly my account, this is my brother's account, If I also need to disclose it on my talk page so I can declare it as well. Please tell me the procedure to do so.
  • In editing such topics in the future, I plan to follow a systematic approach. This involves conducting thorough research to ensure accuracy and completeness of information. I will also strive to maintain a neutral tone and adhere to Wikipedia's guidelines and policies. Additionally, I will be open to feedback and collaboration, ensuring that the final draft meets the standards of quality expected for Wikipedia articles. All the article are written by me, I can show you the proof as I have all the drafts which I have written. The unblock request was just rephrased by the Chatgbt. Why everyone is concerning about the things that doesn't makes sense. I don't know why the editors are not reviewing my unlock request? I will be happy with the editors result whether they unblock my account or not. What I have to day that I made only one mistake to not disclose the paid editing for a page for which I was hired. CharlesBNB (talk) 21:39, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Administrators care about this because they want to see that you understand Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, not whether an LLM understands them. An unblock request puts admins in a position in which they put their reputation on the line by trusting you, so they're going to want to make sure that they can, in fact, trust you. Using a chatbot is a very poor way to earn that trust, as is talking about "my articles." CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 00:18, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • One other point, if I may. You claim User:Elizzzzz belongs to your brother, yet that user page says “My name is Elizabeth”. Are you saying your brother is named Elizabeth? — Biruitorul Talk 06:11, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The sources are poor (i.e, GitHub, primary websites). Couldn't find any significant, reliable coverage upon some searching on my own. Moreover, the creator has been blocked as a sock/meat. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
