March 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm 47.227.95.73. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Praying town seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 19:07, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Are you sure the sources in Native Americans in theUnited States back your changes?[edit]

Did you check the sources or are you adding your own opinions? The latter is against policy, see WP:NOR. Doug Weller talk 20:10, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No opinions here. Genocide: any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: (a) Killing members of the group; (b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; (d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; (e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group. I’ve asked about your edits[edit]

Here.[[[Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America#New editor adding unsourced and text that contradicts the source]]]. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America. I think you need advice from experienced users. Doug Weller talk 20:20, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Forced assimilation and genocide are the exact same thing. Nothing I have posted is contradictory in any perspective. Ccaakk (talk) 20:53, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ccaakk Wikipedia must remain biased unbiased (oops, fixed typo). our political and ethical standing has to take a back seat to neutrality. It is also necessary to source any new material entered into an article. Using the term genocide over and over lessens the impact of the seriousness of the term. You can source it at Article II of the Genocide Convention. Indigenous girl (talk) 21:20, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Using the term over and over again does not lessen the impact, that is YOUR OPINION. Ccaakk (talk) 21:23, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm quite familiar with what genocide is and offered a manner in which you can source the term. Over use of the term does in fact lessen it's impact. When used over and over in an article, people tend to gloss over the severity of the act. Which is awful but it happens. It's also not encyclopedic. Indigenous girl (talk) 21:32, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your last message explicitly states “Wikipedia must remain biased.” And that is against policy. Ew, your racism is showing you should feel chagrined for your personal opinions and presenting them as facts. Enjoy your ignorance, I heard it’s bliss. I will not stop. Ccaakk (talk) 22:01, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I made a typo, I would have imagined that was apparent. Indigenous girl (talk) 23:08, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And as @Indigenous girl said. Over use of the term does in fact lessen it's impact.. I suggest you reform your recent edits yourself before I or other users reform it or even remove in the first place. Stephan rostie (talk) 22:43, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have revised with less repetition of the word genocide. Thank you. Ccaakk (talk) 22:48, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, i was just going to tell him the same thing,
@Ccaakk your recent edits need serious reforms in style and words. Stephan rostie (talk) 22:40, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Are you native American ?[edit]

I have seen your recent edits, which a lot of it need serious changes, but i was wondering just out of curiosity, are you native American ? Stephan rostie (talk) 23:02, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Need to come to talk pages first[edit]

At this point we are going to ask you to bring any changes of this nature to talk pages first with sources. Pls review Wikipedia:Advocacy.Moxy- 23:05, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have added no additional information that was not already provided in the sources listed. Read through the sources listed and you can find what you’re asking for. Replacing “cultural assimilation” with the appropriate term of “genocide” is factual and is derived from cited sources. Ccaakk (talk) 23:08, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
