Welcome to the Percy Jackson Task Force!

Hello Breawycker, welcome to the Percy Jackson Task Force (PJTF)! We aim to create and improve articles related to the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. Feel free to post ideas at the PJTF General forums and look at our To Do list for things to do. We are currently aiming to make The Battle of the Labyrinth a good article; you can help! Add {{Wikipedia:PJTF/Update}} to your userpage to keep up with the latest PJTF news. Happy editing, PrincessofLlyr royal court 22:04, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not transclude templates (like {{hangon}} or {{editprotected}}) onto pages like these as it sorts the page into categories (in this case Category:Wikipedia protected edit requests and Category:Contested candidates for speedy deletion) which wastes the time of admins and other editors patrolling those categories trying to deal with genuine requests. Thank you, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:20, 18 August 2010 (UTC) I am going to that right now! RFPP request

Hi - just want to let you know that I didn't protect the talk page. Instead, I hardblocked the user in question as a spam-promotional account, meaning that the IP address he used is autoblocked and he can't create a new account without appealing. I won't be able to respond to the block appeal since I blocked him, but I doubt another admin will unblock since he's already made his intentions known. He wasn't vandalizing, but he was clearly here to push an agenda. I think he thought he could insert his desired content if he talked somebody else into doing it. If another account starts doing the same thing, let me know. Thanks. :-) KrakatoaKatie 00:42, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Spoons Yogurt

Hello Breawycker. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Spoons Yogurt, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. Thank you. GedUK  22:32, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

How many times do I have to revert vandalism, before I can be a Rollbacker? Breawycker (talk) 13:58, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Usually a few months of work that includes some reverting vandalism and other contributions that show you understand the difference between good-faith edits, mistakes and actual vandalism are all that's needed. You also need to make sure that you are warning vandals as you revert and reporting them to WP:AIV when necessary. There are also automated tools (like WP:Twinkle) that can help you with reverting and warning if you need a bit more time at it. Shell babelfish 15:51, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't my contribution that was reverted. I just added an interwiki. You should recheck the list of edits to find the real culpit. Atlantia (talk) 17:42, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Esoko changes

Hello, I am in Accra, Ghana attempting to update the Wikipedia page for Esoko (where we are based). I saw that you reverted my changes, though feel that my changes did not constitute vandalism and were in good faith. It was just a much-needed update about the company. How can we move forward? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebelgialn (talkcontribs) 14:53, 11 January 2011 (UTC) Thebelgialn (talk) 15:01, 11 January 2011 (UTC) I'm sorry about the mistake I made. I saw the Tag saying you removed references, and I must have thought that you were vandalizing the page. I will remove the warning from your page, and restore Esoko to your edit. Once again I am sorry. Breawycker (talk) 15:21, 11 January 2011 (UTC) Thanks for the turn around Thebelgialn (talk) 15:31, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer permission

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:37, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Level 1 warning re. vandalism on Albert Ball ???

Hi Fantastic Brain (hummm) warning ??? vandalism ???? :-(

All I did was add my own Photo of his VC & the location of the Albert Ball memorial homes. If you believe this warrants a warning or is an act of vandalism I don't believe you are operating in the spirit of Wikipedia.

Please revert back to the previous edit, you are for more experienced that I but surely my edits add to the page If you can fit it into the article I will remove the warning from your page. Ok?--Breawycker (talk) 18:38, 16 January 2011 (UTC) ~Photo of the medals next to the Other awards list & Google Earth link next to the eight homes in Lenton, not too sure how I can fit this is better... Seriously I was stood next to his VC, watch, aircraft windscreen, flying gloves & telegramme yesterday, I'm only adding to the tapestry[reply]

Premature move

You prematurely moved Spider-Man (film series). In future please refrain from moving pages while discussion is still in progress. Requests are generally processed after seven days, although backlogs often develop. If there is a clear consensus after this time, the request will be closed and acted upon. If not, the closer may choose to re-list the request to allow time for consensus to develop, or close it as "no consensus". The processes involved in closing requests, performing moves and necessary tidying tasks when a move is performed can be viewed at closing instructions. Thank you. --TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:50, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit to Tom Allen Bio

I am questioning why my edit deleting the reference to other elections was undone? The reference is irrelevant--the article is about Tom Allen, not about the 2008 national elections--he was taking on a popular incumbent, so it was always an uphill battle. The point of saying he lost while others elsewhere won "overwhelmingly" is what? Seems like a sly dig at him. As I said initially, it's POV and needs to be gone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.241.219.250 (talk) 01:50, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I removed a copyvio. Don't revert and give me a template warning without even looking at the damage you are doing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.235.62.113 (talk) 18:38, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Careful there.... (re Nicole Miller)

Please take a little bit more care with that shiny new rollback button, your reversion here [1] reinserted a copyright violation into the article, an issue which was indicated in the previous edit summary. Mistakes happen, not trying to be a pain about this, just a friendly "hey!". Have a great weekend! (Oh, and if I've got this all wrong, lemme know.) Cheers! --je deckertalk 19:39, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

While you may have reverted the IP because you thought it was vandalism, I reverted it because it was factually incorrect. I provided both an edit summary and commented on the article's discussion page. There was no justification for you to revert my edit w/o you first joining the discussion. Tom (North Shoreman) (talk) 22:08, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IP 62.172.89.238

My advice, don't go back and forth with him. Either ask an admin to block his talk page access too, or ignore him.--Cube lurker (talk) 19:35, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You shouldn't be restoring those warnings—it's against WP:BLANKING, which explicitly allows anybody to remove any content from their own talk page, even warnings and block notices. The only exception is declined unblock requests while the relevant block is in effect. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:10, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

about the last warning

As you might have seen on this IP's talk page, this is a Toronto library computer--an express computer that's on for 15 minutes before the next "client" uses it. Suffice to say, I'm not the vandal for the trumpet article. I also noticed that while the IP address is the same, I've seen this IP on a different computer at a different library branch. If you are doing a block, I suggest less than 30 hours. Hope that helps. :-) 205.189.194.208 (talk) 18:02, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, about my Sarkozy article edit

I am offended you put me as a violator. The original translation of his quote isn't as representative as it should be. Being french and having studying the origin of all the major french swear words led me to correct it. I mean, "pauvre con" litterally mean "poor cunt". First off sign your post!', and second Use this here!!! not my talk page!, third it doesn't mention the quote. --Breawycker (talk) 23:15, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Music Is Revolution Foundation

Hello Breawycker. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Music Is Revolution Foundation, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: I don't feel this is promotional. It is a COI and may not qualify as a notable organization, but it's not a G11. Thank you.  7  23:08, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yamaha DX1 article question and your involvement

Breawycker why did you revert the Yamaha DX1[2] article? Did you discuss this first or just did because of what? Do you own a DX-1? Do you have any information on a DX-1? It helps.

I just wrote an update and you just choose to erase that information. Why? I am not paid to edit, I do this on my spear time to update the article. The sources of imformation came from me as I contributed a great deal of time to provide sources and information and when someone erases it like that, I question why. So made you choose to do this? Do you have links of sources and etc information I can verify your revert edit?--Globalstatus (talk) 22:17, 13 February 2011 (UTC) Sorry about, that that was the revert that i regretted, but I can't do anything about it until the 20th. P.S. next time use this page when reporting error with Igloo, Huggle, and Twinkle.--Breawycker (talk) 18:27, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion tag at Bonji water

Sorry, but I removed your speedy deletion tag because the blanking of the page was vandalism and therefore not eligible for speedy deletion. IPs can't make articles, for that matter. Guoguo12--Talk--  20:10, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer help

{{Helpme}} why can't I change Pending revisions protection for a page?--Breawycker (talk) 22:44, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Because, only administrators can change protection settings.
You can ask for a change though, on WP:RPP, and if there is a reasonable reason, an admin will change it for you.  Chzz  ►  23:05, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

‎//httpwww.meenaonthenet.com.. etc

Agreed, a very bad title, but I don't think it qualifies for a speedy delete under C1 as that applies to "unpopulated categories". Perhaps "A7. No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content)": {{db-person}}, or {{db-web}} are better templates? Or did you mean "G1. Patent nonsense."? ;-) - 220.101 talk\Contribs 16:01, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent RFA

I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you only have 1509 edits on Wikipedia; while your edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards by which they judge RfA candidates, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.

I am sorry about this, and I hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I am confident that you would be able to submit a successful RfA in the future. You may wish to consider applying for an evaluation by other Wikipedia editors for feedback on how to obtain the necessary experience. Once you are ready to request adminship again, there is a great admin coaching program available, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.

If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! →GƒoleyFour← 01:04, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
