Sections added to Abandoned plans of london underground[edit]

Hello! And firstly an apoliguy, I accidentally added Abridge again before noticeing your comments. Sorry about that. I'm an absolute novice at wiki in case you didnt realise :P

My interest is in London Underground as a whole, and I added Abridge to the artical 'Closed London underground stations in the central line developments section'. I can gaurentee there was once a plan for it since there is a reference on that page, which links to a site called anarachheaven.com I think. Anyway, hope that explains things. Most of my info is comming from various books on the tube, including 'London's Lost Tube Schemes'.

Regards,

Re:Barnstar[edit]

Thanks. There is a "Graphic Designers Barnstar" though that would be perfect in case you ever would like to use it. That kind of barnstar is used for any user he designs or redesigns something to make it look better.--RyRy5 (talkReview) 00:00, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, thanks. I also noticed that you copied the bars from my user page and talk page. That's fine with me. Well, if you ever have a problem on your user page, just look at the bar at the bottom of your page. -- RyRy5 (talkReview) 00:12, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There seems to be a problem with the barnstar. I think you should award it to me. It's easy to spot at the WP:BARNSTAR. It's called "The Graghic Designer's Barstar". -- RyRy5 (talkReview) 00:40, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Adopt-a-User Barnstar
Hello, it seems like you have garnered much knowledge since the last time we spoke! I am happy to say that you have graduated from the adoption program. Here's a barnstar as a token of the adoption. If you ever need advice or want to talk, then I'm always available. See you soon! :) --Hdt83 Chat 01:01, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. - If I may give you a quick tip for your RFA, I'd recommend expanding your answers to the questions a little bit, they're a little bit short and some editors prefer a bit more detail. Useight (talk) 01:34, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your RFA[edit]

If you know what's going on, I very very very strongly recommend you say everything you know as soon as you can; if it looks like people are socking to support you it will derail an RFA - if there's any suspicion you're organising (or even encouraging) it some of the hardliners will happily boot you off the site altogether. You'll have people like me and Simply South in your corner come any case, but if you're found guilty (whether or not you actually are) - the best we're likely to be able to argue for is time off for good behaviour.

Have you annoyed someone lately who's likely to want to get back at you by derailing this?iridescent 02:07, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Various issues that cropped up in my RfA that i'd like to clarify...[edit]

Ok, so here goes (note I have already withdrawn).

I, BG7, admit that I do operate the count User:Shanner191. It is my only sockpuppet. Let me explain...

I got into a dispute with an editor at WyvernRail and Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, and I was getting off wiki messages that I would be banned from the railway, and my dad would be rung and told. I flipped, as my dad is not the best of people to deal with with things like this, and so I created Shanner 191 to try and cover up. I felt I had done nothing wrong, as I had only been tagging it for AfD as non-notable, and I eventually merged it. The issue about being banned from the railway was not a problem, as I had already left prior to that over many other issues, including some for child protection/paedophilia.

In response to some other issues raised, most of my conflicts etc are because I am angry with life, with the NHS, with all sorts: and I don't always vent my anger in the right place. My mum died from Cancer last year, and so I am going through a bit of emotional turmoil.

I do not know why I decided to vote with Shanner in the RfA, and I apologise, and will take any consequence for that.

Finally, I would like to publically apologise for breaking Wikipedia policy: please forgive me, and also please try and see from my point of view.

I will take any consequences that come to me, and I hope to ride through this. I think the best way to go will be for me to take a Wikibreak, and potentially come back under another username, and start afresh. I would still like to be an admin, although it will be in a long time, and don't worry, I will mention this if and when I am nominated.

Thankyou,

BG7 08:35, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dont worry, friend! I really appreciate your frankness to accept it if you are wrong. Your decision to vote with Shanner in the RfA was BAD but I am sure you will surely be more mature as you progress. Dont be dissapppointed .Take a coffee break and come back with a kewl head . Everyone makes mistakes and winners learn from them....Keep editing and continue your good works in Wikipedia. Come back to RFA after lots of DYKs, FAs, GAs .... Get to know people around... take their good advices ... Get more experiences... I will surely support you . Best of luck -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 09:14, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trees Rock Plant A Tree! 17:19, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Neither of BG's "personal attacks" were anything of the sort. If you carry on throwing around malicious allegations, editwarring and making spurious reports, as you did here, someone may well end up blocked but it won't be BG.iridescent 17:28, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok,
WP:Sims and WP:LT are completely different - WP:Sims is a very small scope (article number to follow), whereas WP:LT has over number to follow articles, with more being created all the time. Our reasons are on the talk page.
It wasn't a personal attack... it was us notifying you - if you're not going to be constructive, we don't want/need you on board.
Also the username comment was genuine - I honestly was getting confused when I was seeing Tree sigs linking to both STH and Trees.

Help[edit]

{{helpme}} I want ALL MY IMAGES DELETING FROM WIKIPEDIA after someone uploaded one to Commons without my permission. My images may not be used anywhere but on Wikipedia, unless I upload them there.

Thank you.

BG7even 17:29, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What license did you upload the images here under? The few I've looked at are CC 3.0 and GFDL which, unless I'm mistaken, pretty much means that as long they give attribution to their source, anyone can use the images for whatever they want. --OnoremDil 17:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Some of the images also state release into public domain, such as Image:Blackpool_Trams.jpg. The Helpful One (Review) 17:36, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. you sounds a bit angry?

All images uploaded to wikipedia have to be given a licence that allows them to be used freely, anywhere, by anybody. They *can* be 'attribution', which means the other users have to mention the name of the author. However, wikipedia has *no control* over the free use of the images. This is explicitly stated when a licence is chosen.

Hence, anyone can grab any wikipedia image, and do anything they like with it, including using it commercially.

This applies to commons, as the rest of the world.

--  Chzz  ►  17:38, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In that case, I think the GFDL should be made clearer when you are uploading images. I am revoking the GFDL from my images. And PD. And CC-by-Sa. I don't care if it's unrevokable. I want them off. NOW. BG7even 17:40, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That can't be done. Also, I can't imagine we'd go deleting useful images just because you want us to. Nobody should try to own the work they do here. Friday (talk) 17:42, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I TOOK THEM!!! And if you look at http://jacks-tram-pics.fotopic.net, you'll see that they are copyrighted there. And many of them on http://www.transportcentre.co.uk/. DELETE THEM!!! BG7even 17:45, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If they have false licensing information on them, you could go through and tag each with {{db-copyvio|url=wherever you stole them from}}. --OnoremDil 17:49, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The GDFL is explicit. The option you chose specifically reads, "I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby publish it under the following licenses: [...]Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License.[...] Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms [...]"
You explicitly chose to 'give away' your images, and they are now, and will always be, freely available for anyone to use (subject to the terms stated).
I'm sorry you feel aggrieved by this.
--  Chzz  ►  17:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All you have done is edited the Wikiproject page, I have been working a lot for this project, doing what the project is meant to be about. I've been making sure all the Sims articles are in order, fixing typos, reverting meaningless crap. Do you know how many times I reverted that Mersims rubbish? Sure you've done some good contributions, but you act like you own the bloody project, it's been annoying me big time. I've tried to act nice but then you just go and make it worse. I knew it wouldn't be long before you tried putting your name at the top of the members list as a sign of some kind of leadership and I thought to myself that when he does I'll finally tell him how much he's being annoying.
