Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Austria-Hungaria transparency.png, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Austria-Hungaria transparency.png is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Austria-Hungaria transparency.png, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:18, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Popeadrian.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Popeadrian.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:46, 24 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ian Spackman 14:46, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. Disappearance of Madeleine McCann

Hi, I have reverted your edit to Disappearance of Madeleine McCann since the paragraph is correct - she was three at the time of her disappearance. That she is now four (if alive) is stated under her section. HTH. TerriersFan 00:35, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Excellent work

I've seen the work you've done on the Plot section in The House of the Scorpion and, more importantly, the excellent image you placed there. Congratulations on an excellent job, that image probably exceeded the expectations of everybody working on that article. Slartibartfast1992 23:23, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Sounds good. And enjoy the book by the way ( ; . Slartibartfast1992 00:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Have you read it ?Bewareofdog 02:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Yes I have, and I think you will enjoy it a lot. It probably ranks inside the ten best books I've read in my life (at least if you count he Foundation series as one book). Slartibartfast1992 19:49, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I read it along time ago and when I was cleaning I found it and started reading it again.Bewareofdog 19:57, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I wish I could forget it and read it again. I'll probably have to wait a decade or two to do so. Slartibartfast1992 20:30, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Drifting off topic, but I noticed you're really good at finding pictures for Wikipedia. I was wondering if you could help me get a picture for this article. I'd need an image of the front cover of the book, and if you could find one, I'd really appreciate it. Slartibartfast1992 22:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Dosmilpesos.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Dosmilpesos.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:23, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

I noticed your nomination of the above article for the Saints collaboration. Give me some sources where I can find information on the subject (online is easiest, but readily accessible books in English could probably be included as well), and I'll do what I can. Probably best to respond to this directly to my userpage, though, as my watch list is kinda long. John Carter 16:37, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:154631main image feature 634 ys full.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:154631main image feature 634 ys full.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Fair use rationale for Image:Rename.jpg

Image:Rename.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you.

Hi, I noticed you didn't use an edit summary when replacing the image of Juan Diego. This is a fairly major change. Please use edit summaries, especially when making major changes. Thanks, --Rockero 08:32, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Belated Barnstar Thanks

Hey, thanks for the Barnstar you gave me back in March. I hadn't been on Wikipedia much at the time, and hadn't really checked my userpage for months so hadn't seen it. I only found it today when I went to update my userpage and checked the history, only to find an edit war had been going on due to repeated vandalism. In the course of the vandalism the barnstar had been removed, so I have reinserted it. So thanks again. --jjron 06:52, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
