December 2021[edit]

Information icon Hi 67.255.12.186! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of My Little Pony: The Movie (2017 film) several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:My Little Pony: The Movie (2017 film), please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. EvergreenFir (talk) 07:12, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

March 2022[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Spider-Man: No Way Home, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. 2603:8000:F400:FCEA:CD17:90B5:8BCE:53E (talk) 15:05, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know about the advantages of getting a free account?

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a minimum number of days and made a minimum number of edits. If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (67.255.12.186) is used to identify you instead.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! BlueNoise (talk) 22:17, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023[edit]

Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the The Darjeeling Limited plot summary have been removed because they added a significant amount of unnecessary detail. Please avoid excessive detail and high word counts when editing plot summaries/synopses. You may read the plot summary edit guides to learn more about contributing constructively to plot summaries/synopses. There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. Second unit[edit]

I see you massive expanded Second unit. Unfortunately, I removed almost all of it. The problem is that Wikipedia is a general purpose encyclopedia. It's not supposed to list massive amounts of examples. We sometimes call this example cruft. It bloats the article without actually imparting any encyclopedic knowledge. One good example is better than hundreds of examples – that just makes the article harder to read because you have to sift through hundreds bits of trivia to find the useful parts. Second, as an encyclopedia, Wikipedia only summarizes what reliable sources have to say on a topic. Adding things that you know, without summarizing what a source has said, is known as original research, and it's forbidden on Wikipedia. That means that if you want to include an example, you should cite a reliable source that has identified it as a prominent example. We can't decide ourselves whether something is prominent enough to include. This runs afoul of the prohibition on original research. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:11, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm That Tired Tarantula. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to A Star Is Born (2018 film) seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. That Tired TarantulaBurrow 09:14, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
