Welcome![edit]

Hi, 他删之石, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask the help desk, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a transliteration of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

Welcome![edit]

Hello, 他删之石, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Yang Yuying, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Kajuran (talk) 07:35, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Yang Yuying has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no reliable references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Sky Wu[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sky Wu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Dawnseeker2000 15:51, 24 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Why did you remove a valid entry from the above article, specifically for April 2017? It's a redlink, but that doesn't matter - they stay for 30 days before removal as per established consensus. If you have valid reasons for removing the entry, a quick edit summary explaining your rationale would be great when carrying out changes like this, and a section on the article talk page would reinforce that even more for you. Until those actions happen, I have reinstated the entry you took out. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 17:52, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. At Deaths in 2017, you, two days in a row, added the next day too early. As per the FAQ on its talkpage, tomorrow's date should not be added until the LINT time starts that particular day. Thank you. --Marbe166 (talk) 11:08, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Also, when adding entries at Deaths in 2017, they should be in alphabetical order. --Marbe166 (talk) 08:48, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Deaths in 2017. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Do NOT add the new date before the LINT time has passed midnight. --Marbe166 (talk) 09:54, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Deaths in 2017. Do NOT add the new date before the LINT time has passed midnight. --Marbe166 (talk) 08:48, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please help adding Deaths in 2017[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Deaths in 2017. It would further help the project if you could place the deceased in alphabetical order, and also add the citation title to your entry. If unsure, just follow another nearby entry. Thank you. WWGB (talk) 00:49, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Again, additions were made by this user in non-alphabetical order. This has been reported as vandalism, as the user doesn't seem to interact and adhere to instruction. --Marbe166 (talk) 12:46, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deaths in 2018[edit]

If you add a death to this page, please include the reference heading. It is not difficult, just follow the other entries. WWGB (talk) 10:20, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Seconded. Skudrafan1 (talk) 15:08, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Again, today you added a number of people to the Deaths in 2018 page. References should contain headings and reference tags. It's not difficult, just look at the format of other people's entries on the page. --Marbe166 (talk) 12:47, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please don't add deaths without references -- as you just did with Menno Wigman [nl]. Skudrafan1 (talk) 01:18, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting photos on 2017-18 Iranian protests[edit]

Hello. Please do not delete the pro-establ. rallies photos on this page. The three photos barely cover a fraction of the size of these nationwide demonstrations which dwarf the anto-gov. protests. I had explained this already once. --Expectant of Light (talk) 05:49, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source/license for File:Hu Yitian.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hu Yitian.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Raffaello Giovagnoli requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The article Ma Ke (actor) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Very short article, questionable notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. It is obvious that Special:Diff/822365128/822946335, Special:Diff/822946335/next, and Special:Diff/822946609/next are copy-pasted Google Translations of the Italian article.
A revealing bit, apart from the horrible language, is that
[[:File: T. Rodella - Battle of Mentana - watercolor lithograph on paper - 1870s.jpg | thumb | La Battle of Mentana, which closed the campaign of the Roman Agro on November 3, 1867]]
shows up as
File:T. Rodella - Battle of Mentana - watercolor lithograph on paper - 1870s.jpg
La Battle of Mentana, which closed the campaign of the Roman Agro on November 3, 1867
and is a direct machine translation of
[[:File:T. Rodella - battaglia di Mentana - litografia acquerellata su carta - 1870s.jpg|thumb|La battaglia di Mentana, che il 3 novembre 1867 chiuse la campagna dell'Agro romano]]
that shows up nicely in the Italian article as
La battaglia di Mentana, che il 3 novembre 1867 chiuse la campagna dell'Agro romano
I have added {{Rough translation}} to the article and listed it at WP:PNT.
Please read Wikipedia:Translation and follow the instructions. In the future please do not create articles using WP:MACHINETRANSLATIONS. Sam Sailor 12:47, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Username[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to make a quick comment about your username. As per Wikipedia:Username policy, a non-Latin username is allowed, but can be problematic. From Wikipedia:Signatures;

Editors with non-Latin usernames are welcome to edit in Wikipedia. However, non-Latin scripts, such as Arabic, Armenian, Chinese, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Indic scripts, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai and others, are illegible to most other contributors of the English Wikipedia. Not everyone uses a keyboard that has immediate access to non-Latin characters, and names that cannot be pronounced cannot be retained in memory. As a courtesy to the rest of the contributors, users with such usernames are encouraged to sign their posts (at least in part) with Latin characters. For an example refer to User:Παράδειγμα, who signs his posts as Παράδειγμα/Paradigma.

I understand your username is apparently Chinese, and (roughly) translates to "He removes the stone". I'm not sure of the significance of that for you, but if you would consider adding that, or another Latinized name or word to your signature, it would make interacting with you a great deal easier for your fellow editors. To attach a Latinized word or name to your signature, just go to "Preferences", and on the first page, under "User Profile", scroll down to "Signatures". There you will see a text box where you can customize your signature to your liking (you will notice a large number of unique, colorful and creative signatures among the various talk pages here) and you will be able to modify your signature with an add-on in Latin script that will help others identify you and communicate with you. I hope this helps, and happy editing!. - theWOLFchild 16:08, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yu Qiuyu moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Yu Qiuyu, contains no statement of how this person actually meets our notability criteria. Please would you incubate in draftspace and ensure page explains why this writer and scholar is deemed notable. (I'm sure they are - but with all references in a foreign language, we need you to tell us.) I've temporarily moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. HI. This entry was removed from the Deaths in 2018 in line with the protection put on her article by an admin due to "violation of WP:BLP", in that an unreliable single source was used (the same one you employed). Chun Doo-hwan[edit]

Hi,

I noticed that you added a death date for Chun Doo-hwan based on Korean Wikipedia. However I typed his Korean name into Google and didn’t see any obituaries, which is very unusual for a former leader of a major democratic nation. So I suspect the Korean Wiki edit may be either vandalism or a mis-information, and that he didn’t actually die. If you know of a reliable (non-Wikipedia) source for his death (in any language) then the date can be added to the article.

Re[edit]

These people are not important and trivial. Using WIKI's popularity to promote these people is cheap. Unless it can prove important and does not deviate from the theme, it should not be written. You can read WP:NOTDIRECTORY, I think you can try to create a page to write those people. But I think even if you create a page, it will be deleted, because those people are really not important.--Witotiwo (talk) 13:14, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Both today and yesterday you have added the new days too early. As discussed before, it should not be done before the LINT time has passed midnight, so stop doing that. --Marbe166 (talk) 10:53, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

And again... --Marbe166 (talk) 10:24, 10 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Agree with GiantSnowman. Please stop arbitrarily removing content and replacing it with speedy-deletion templates, as you also did at Xiong Zhaoren, Ke Hua and other articles. You've been reverted and warned by multiple editors and if you do not stop, you will be reported for vandalism. Please read WP:NPEOPLE for a better understanding of notability guidelines. Thanks, -Zanhe (talk) 18:55, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Zanhe: if there's a pattern here could be worth raising at ANI or similar? GiantSnowman 11:58, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@GiantSnowman: I hope the editor will heed the warnings and continue his otherwise positive editing career, so we can all forget about these episodes. But I will file an ANI complaint if he does it again in the future. -Zanhe (talk) 18:48, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
