Rolling Stone as source[edit]

Hi, Scottie. Thanks for adding the reference for your edit to Eminem. You need to know that there's something special about using Rolling Stone as a reference, since they "improved" their Web site a few months ago. Their improvements redesigned the site, breaking just about every link to URLs they had published. Even now, their pages are volatile, and (I believe) will expire after a certain short period of time.

The solution (since we can't just refuse to reference the boneheads, which would be my preference) is to arrange an archived copy of the page you want to use. I have never done this, myself, but there's an example higher up on the Eminem page. See it? It's the "MMLP" ref to Rolling Stone just after "fastest-selling solo album in United States history." I believe you will need to go to http://web.archive.org/ and enter the URL you want to archive there (try the "Web Archiving Services" section about 1/4 down). Please stop reverting other people's edits, as you are doing in Kobe Bryant. You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule. First of all citing Irreplaceable is WP:OTHERSTUFF. You have to go by the album's notes it is the official way to credit songs. Everything else is WP:OR. There is no credible source that says that Usher is a writer of the song, and he is not included in the writing column.
