License tagging for Image:Sapovadia.paper.pdf[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sapovadia.paper.pdf. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Japan 2.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Sapovadia.Japan 2.jpg. The copy called Image:Sapovadia.Japan 2.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 14:00, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Sudhir Mehta[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Sudhir Mehta, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Sudhir Mehta seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Sudhir Mehta, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion of Sudhir Mehta[edit]

A tag has been placed on Sudhir Mehta requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. spryde | talk 16:00, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Port Management[edit]

A tag has been placed on Port Management requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Accounting Standard, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Accounting Standard[edit]

An editor has nominated Accounting Standard, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Accounting Standard and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 17:29, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of IIFET, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.onefish.org/cds_static/en/ltural_biodiversity_indigenous_relationships_en_3892_30251.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:28, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as you did to IIFET. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Proposed deletion of Vrajlal Sapovadia[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Vrajlal Sapovadia, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Deletion discussion about Global Punctuality Index[edit]

Hello, Sapovadia,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Global Punctuality Index should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Global Punctuality Index .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Vanjagenije (talk) 22:56, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Sapovadia. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 11:07, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Vrajlal Sapovadia, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Finngall talk 15:38, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because this account has been used almost entirely for self-promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia policy, because the account has been used to evade a block placed on an IP address to prevent your promotional editing, and because of other disruptive editing, including repeatedly re-creating an article contrary to consensus at a deletion discussion, which concluded that it was unsuitable for Wikipedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising service. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

I was ignorant of Wikipedia policies and hence inadvertently committed mistakes amounting to block evasion and disruptive editing. I have read carefully the relevant policies and will edit pages in strict compliance of such policies if unblocked. Thank you

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only, only one open request is needed at a time. 331dot (talk) 09:09, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

there was no intention to self marketing or promotion but may be due to over enthusiasm, I may have edited own work. Here I promise not to edit when there is iota of personal interest.

Accept reason:

I cannot possibly accept your claim that there was no intention of self-promotion: you created pages which were full of self promotion, and you could not have done so without intending to. Nevertheless, after four years I am willing to believe that your approach has changed, and on the basis of your assurances that you "will only edit pages where there is no conflict of interest at all" I have unblocked you to give you another chance. I hope you will be careful to avoid repeating the kinds of editing which led to your being blocked, so that you can edit from now on without being blocked again. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:11, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • That addresses one reason for your block, but not the block evasion and other disruptive editing. Please address those aspects below. 331dot (talk) 18:22, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was ignorant of the policies on block evasion and disruptive edit. I have read now the relevant policies and will strictly follow the policies in spirit and form. That was my mistake that I inadvertently worked resulting into violation of Wikipedia policies. I promise to comply henceforth all relevant policies. Sapovadia (talk) 21:10, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • JamesBWatson I know it's been awhile, but what would you like to see for an unblock here?(or even if you think there should be one) 331dot (talk) 09:11, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
331dot My answer is in the unblock template above. Thanks for alerting me to this. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:11, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I come across many Wikipedia pages where some critical information is missing that I can add. And I will only edit pages where there is no conflict of interest at all.

My potential contribution[edit]

I want to edit pages on people who are already on Wikipedia, but their important contribution is not on those pages. To name few personalities on whom I would like to edit are U N Dhebar, Sardar Patel, Moraraji Desai, Babubhai Patel, Chimanbhai Patel. I request to lift the block and allow me to contribute. Thanks Sapovadia (talk) 22:08, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Block evasion and disruptive edit[edit]

I was ignorant on policy on this and now I have read relevant policies. I will edit only according to the strict compliance with such policies. Sapovadia (talk) 17:04, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
