Hello. A tag has been placed on Dhwani Gautam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. September 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, Paperpopscissors. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 06:15, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

SpacemanSpiff, I am not related to 'Dhwani Gautam' in any manner. I live in the same state as he does and study Masters in Philosophy in the subject of Mass Communication. There is a revival happening in the Gujarati Film Industry and I happen to enjoy being a part of the history in the making. I am trying to document whatever is happening in this Cinema through whatever contributions that I make and the new breed of Gujarati film makers and films happen to interest me. I enjoy writing about these filmmakers and films and getting their imprint out there in the larger world. Regarding the image, as a part of the larger media and communications fraternity, I am sure the filmmaker in question would not mind releasing his copyright to any of his images used for such documentation purposes since he has a very public profile on most of social media platforms. Nomination of Dhwani Gautam for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Dhwani Gautam is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dhwani Gautam until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. TomStar81 (Talk) 12:01, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kamlesh Bhuptani has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable enough on his own.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on File:Ondikku Ondi Official Poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Request reason:

I am a different person helping out a friend with the listings he has been doing related to Gujarati cinema, there is no conflict of interest here, I only suggested whatever I did based on the logic I believed in good faith that may convince the wikipedia team to not delete the page; moreover on all the edits I have ever done over the years, feel free to check your databases on every single edit entry documentation I have done based on your stipulated guidelines, if you do not like it, issue a notice for god's sake, instead of randomly blocking people like that from using the platform; additionally I am neither of the same gender, nor in the same field, nor the same person nor working at the same place; however, we are in the same city, furthermore after all the donations I made to wikipedia over the years, I believed the last thing I would face would be a block over something trivial Paperpopscissors (talk) 12:44, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Whether you have donated or not- while we thank you- is immaterial, as donations are collected and used by the Foundation, not us editors. The block was not at random, but based on your behavior. You talk about helping a friend(see meat puppetry) but there are two other accounts involved here, not just one. 331dot (talk) 09:18, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
