Speedy deletion of Miroslav Donutil[edit]

A tag has been placed on Miroslav Donutil requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi, I've declined the speedy deletion nomination of Miroslav Donutil as I consider the subject to be notable. ϢereSpielChequers 13:45, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May 2009[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Stephan a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Pavlína Němcová[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Pavlína Němcová, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Just a filmography does not explain who this person is

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Honeypot Productions, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://wiki.jorjafox.net/wiki/Honeypot_Productions. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 09:15, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rearranging first name articles[edit]

Hi. I notice that you are interested in cleaning up articles on first names, which is great because many of them are cluttered and unorganized. However, names are distinct and should not be combined into one article, even if they are etymologically related. For instance, you have redirected Amelie to Amelia and Amalie to Amalia, and dumped the content in the remaining article. While some extremely close variations might be considered one name—say, Amelie and Amélie—the people in the articles you edited do not have the same name, and it is confusing to have them all on one page. Redirects are meant to link pages referring to the exact same topic. Differences in spelling are usually insignificant, but in the case of proper names, it's more like bread and tortilla.

In general, one should "be bold" in editing Wikipedia. However, when it comes to removing (or just moving) large portions of a page, it is best to seek consensus by posting something on the discussion page. Just FYI[edit]

Hi, this is just for your information regarding the edit you made to Linnéa: the twinflower (Linnaea Borealis) is the province flower for one of Sweden's provinces, but not Sweden's national flower. Sweden doesn't have a national flower -- I know that there are a couple of websites claiming that the twinflower is it, but that's incorrect. I just thought you might want to know :-) Cheers, bonadea contributions talk 20:07, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Uhuh, I don´t know. I think it´s Sweden´s national flower.--MegSimpson (talk) 05:55, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where did you read or hear that? It's not correct, I'm afraid. A couple of years ago a poll in a popular science magazine voted for the lilac to be the Swedish national flower, but there was never any official recognition of that; that's the closest we've ever been to having a national flower. This Swedish-language source, from Uppsala university, confirms that there is no national flower in Sweden. --bonadea contributions talk 07:56, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cast lists for plays[edit]

Hi. You have recently been adding detailed Czech cast lists to a number of Wikipedia articles about theatrical plays, such as The Merry Wives of Windsor. However, for such internationally famous plays, that have been performed hundreds (probably thousands) of times all over the world, it is not reasonable for an encyclopedia article to include such specific material about any particular production, without giving a good reason (backed by independent, reliable sources) indicating why this cast in particular should be considered more significant or notable than any of the others. Thanks, Hqb (talk) 11:59, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Apple Tree Theatre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jesminder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.
