Just in case you didn't get the ping, I closed the AfD on the duplicate article (which you nominated) and have opened a new one. Cheers, ansh666 20:42, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. What got you interested in this house specifically?Zigzig20s (talk) 08:46, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Zigzig20s, I patrol new pages, I saw your article which I thought good subject for DYK. I am also interested in various tourist places of any country. So, I got interest in this article and expanded it. Article has been approved on DYK. Congrats.--Human3015Let It Go 10:20, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. I've created many articles about historic mansions and my hope is that others will expand them overtime (by adding more in-line referenced info from books, etc.). Btw, Thomas J. Latham may still be new enough for a DYK, if you are interested.Zigzig20s (talk) 04:08, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Zigzig20s: I know you have 29 DYK credits. Your article Thomas J. Latham is already ready to go. It is long enough with more than 3,200 characters and copyvio unlikely. So you can nominate it for DYK. There is nothing much to expand in that article. I usually nominate only those article which I have expanded or created. If you want my help on some other newly created stub then I can help. Anyway, it seems that you are interested in Tennessee related articles. Whenever I listen or read word "Tennesse", first thing to come in my mind is Jack Daniel's. --Human3015Let It Go 09:56, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- I think to nominate articles for DYK, one needs to assess other pages first. I am not sure how that works. I looked at it once and it seemed opaque.Zigzig20s (talk) 10:02, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Perhaps you could expand this: James Buchanan House (Nashville, Tennessee).Zigzig20s (talk) 10:14, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- And a few more I've just created in the same county. Hopefully more will be added from books, etc. I will definitely go back and add more once I have access to more references, but it's a start.Zigzig20s (talk) 10:50, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Zigzig20s:, I have checked sources for Cole House (Nashville, Tennessee) and James Buchanan House (Nashville, Tennessee). There is not enough matter to expand them to desirable size. I think you should nominate Thomas J. Latham.--Human3015Let It Go 11:52, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- How do I nominate it? I don't know how to do that, although perhaps it is time to learn...Zigzig20s (talk) 11:55, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Zigzig20s: You have 29 DYK credits. It means all of your articles were nominated by other editors. If you have never nominated any article for DYK before, then you may not need to review another article. You should visit Template talk:Did you know. You will see one blank space there, type name of article there and click on create nomination. Write all required things in your nomination template. Once it gets ready add that template to Template talk:Did you know under appropriate date (date of creation of article). If you get any problem you can ask me. You create so nice articles, you would have had much more DYK credits if you would have known how to nominate. So learn it now. You are already a very experienced editor. Best luck.--Human3015Let It Go 12:07, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

- @Zigzig20s: ya, its nice nomination. I just shifted your nomination from 15th to 13th because article was created on 13th. Anyway, after seeing your 29 DYKs, reviewer may ask you to review another article. So it will be better if you review any article. We just have to verify hook, copyvios in article, length of article, neutrality. Try to review a DYK nomination (QPQ). If your DYK nomination gets stuck only because of QPQ then I will review an article for you. Best luck. Cheers.--Human3015Let It Go 13:49, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Didn't those credits give me free DYK nominations? I don't get it. I have no idea how to review nominations.Zigzig20s (talk) 13:53, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Zigzig20s: So many DYK nominations makes compulsion on you to review another DYK nomination. Those who don't have previous DYK credit or less than 5 DYK credits are allowed to make free nominations. But those who have more than 5 DYK credits are considered as experienced and sensible editors who have knowledge of Wikipedia policies, so those editors must review another DYK nomination before nominating their article for DYK. Each DYK which features on main page is approved by someone, if everyone asks for free nomination then no DYK nomination will get reviewed and DYK section on main page will remain empty. So it is compulsory for experienced editors to approve or disapprove another DYK nomination. You can read general concept of Quid pro quo (QPQ). More importantly you read this reviewing guide and DYK CRITERIA.--Human3015Let It Go 14:42, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

DYK for Officer's Choice

The fact was ... that in 2015, the Indian whiskey Officer's Choice became the world's largest selling spirit brand? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Officer's Choice. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Chinese is difficult language, as per my knowledge most of Chinese people also don't know all alphabets/characters of their language. There are as much as 40,000 characters/alphabets, but to read news paper, knowledge of around 3000-4000 characters is sufficient. I hope you will learn those soon. Thanks for your willingness to help.--Human3015Let It Go 03:38, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi again. Yeah I think it's about 4000 to read a paper but I'm only at 1000 or so. Give me another year of study and I'll be able to hopefully read a newspaper and watch the news in Chinese 😊 Take careNotgoingtotellyou (talk) 20:32, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Your edit summary shows that you have never looked at Talk:List of Islamist terrorist attacks, where I've been discussing for a king time but Joobo doesn't seem capable of listening. Some of the crap I've removed today wasn't even perpetrated by Muslims, for crying out loud!
Please read WP:No original research. If reliable sources do not describe an incident as a terrorist attack and attribute it to Islamists, it is impermissible original research to include it in the List of Islamist terrorist attacks. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 08:04, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

I am not sure where this is going? I feel a bit lost about DYKs...Zigzig20s (talk) 08:14, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Zigzig20s: Don't worry. Review of DYK can take some time. Average time for One DYK can be 1 month. It depends. One of my DYK got reviewed and promoted within half hour of my nomination but one other DYK took 2 months. So, it depends on luck when our DYK will get reviewed. Someone has to choose your DYK from list for review. No DYK leaves without review, so don't worry, it may take time. Maybe 20-30 days. Its just 3 days since you nominated. --Human3015 It will rain 13:36, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- OK thank you. Will you please do a review for me if it is required?Zigzig20s (talk) 13:40, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Zigzig20s: Yes, that is good idea. But I generally don't review DYK nominations of my "friends". Though there are no such rules. I have not even edited your article. So actually I am uninvolved as far as this article is concerned. But still I don't review DYK nominations of editors with whom I have good relations somewhere else. You should not worry, you will get reviewer soon. I will give an idea. You sign up WikiCup here. Those who are participating in WikiCup they post there work for review here. If you post your DYK there then possibilities that it will get reviewed will get increased. I posted our Stone Hall DYK there and it got reviewed in few hours. Geographical Indications in India Edit-a-thon starts in 24 hours
[edit]Hello,
Thanks a lot for signing up as a participant in the Geographical Indications in India Edit-a-thon. We want to inform you that this edit-a-thon will start in next 24 hours or so (25 January 0:00 UTC). Here are a few handy tips:

You don't need to update both on Meta and on your Wikipedia, update at any one place you want. - ⓸ If you are posting about this edit-a-thon- on Facebook or Twitter, you may use the hashtag #GIIND2016
- ⓹ Do you have any question or comment? Do you want us to clarify something? Please ask it here.
Thank you and happy editing. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:33, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

7 more days to create or expand articles
[edit]Hello, thanks a lot for participating in Geographical Indications in India Edit-a-thon. We understand that perhaps 7 days (i.e. 25 January to 31 January) were not sufficient to write on a topic like this, and/or you may need some more time to create/improve articles, so let's extend this event for a few more days. The edit-a-thon will continue till 10 February 2016 and that means you have got 7 more days to create or expand articles (or imprpove the articles you have already created or expanded).
- Rules
The rules remain unchanged. Please report your created or expanded articles.
- Joining now
Editors, who have not joined this edit-a-thon, may also join now.
- Reviewing articles
Reviewing of all articles should be done before the end of this month (i.e. February 2016). We'll keep you informed. You may also check the event page for more details.
- Prizes/Awards
A special barnstar will be given to all the participants who will create or expand articles during this edit-a-thon. The editors, who will perform exceptionally well, may be given an Indic Geographical Indication product or object. However, please note, nothing other than the barnstar has been finalized or guaranteed. We'll keep you informed.

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tourism in South Sudan. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Gentle reminder
[edit]Can you please sign off on Template:Did you know nominations/First first-class cricket match in Australia as we might miss the Feb 11, 12 dates otherwise for this DYK? Thanks. Xender Lourdes (talk) 04:42, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- I've promoted it to Template:Did you know/Preparation area 2, as we were running out of time and the hook has (essentially) been ticked off. The discussion was more on minor wording issues of the hook. If anyone still wants to slightly reword it, you can do so in the prep area. Jolly Ω Janner 06:24, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you Jolly. I think you've done well. Xender Lourdes (talk) 08:15, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

The top two of each group will go through to round 3, and then the top scoring 16 "wildcards" across all groups.

Thirty-one contestants saw their DYKs appear on the main page, with a commanding lead (28) by Cwmhiraeth (submissions). Twenty-nine participants conducted GA reviews with J Milburn (submissions) completing nine.

Overflow of your User Page
[edit]Dear User:Human3015. Your User Page appears at Category:Pages_where_template_include_size_is_exceeded. As a result, the bottom of your page is not correctly displayed. Perhaps, moving the section "Useful templates" to a subpage would fix the problem ? Pldx1 (talk) 15:17, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Dear User:Human3015. I have fixed the overflow problem by linking the four last templates of this page, instead of transcluding them. Due to the overflow, this was the actual behavior of this page. In any case, feel free to revert and adopt your own method to solve this problem. Thanks for your comprehension. Pldx1 (talk) 10:59, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

Tamils page
[edit]This User:Vatasura is pushing bias-agenda on Tamil people page, despite telling him that Indian-Tamils are not stateless and we do not identify as such, nor is there Tamil separatism in India but is only confided to Sri Lankan-Tamils in Sri Lanka. He won't listen and claims all 77 million Tamils (Majority of us who live in India) are apparently stateless, which is just absurd. 117.192.218.44 (talk) 12:35, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
