Feel free to add these articles in an "External links" section of your draft, and continue working to expand your draft. Maybe you can find some assistance from those people involved in Wikipedia:WikiProject Brazil. Once you have expanded the draft, feel free to ask me to help fix grammatical and technical issues. Remove tag
the tag from the page Rizwan Ahmed (bureaucrat) should be removed. The concerned notability guidelines of wikipedia are met by the subject. Subject holds office of national importance, more than 20 citations (primary and secondary) attached. If an established wiki like you user sees fit, please remove the tag. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.72.205.230 (talk) 09:00, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
- Cleaned up references and removed {{Notability}} on Rizwan Ahmed (bureaucrat) per WP:POLITICIAN. GoingBatty (talk) 01:02, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
Hey. As soon as use removed the notability tag on Rizwan Ahmed (bureaucrat), the same user who put up the tag tried to reinstate the tag. When stopped by a senior user, the user then put up other tags such as original research and unreliable sources. Please look into it and if tags are relevant, amend the article and if not you may revert the article to the last best edit. As you are an establishment impartial user, it is better that you do so. Thank you (45.116.232.28 (talk) 23:46, 13 February 2018 (UTC))
- I added a suggestion at Talk:Rizwan Ahmed (bureaucrat) - that will be the best place to discuss the improvement of this article. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:53, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

Publisher
Hi, just a heads up. The use of |publisher=
for online news sources is controversial, the template guidance is unclear and ambiguous, and multiple attempts to clarify it have failed to reach consensus. In my strong opinion, which is shared by at least some other experienced editors, the parameter should be used for publishing companies only. You're probably aware that it makes a difference in the appearance of the citation.
Under these circumstances I feel it's very bad form to make widespread changes via script, but of course I can't stop you. I will however be removing most |publisher=
from Stoneman Douglas High School shooting as soon as I can do so without violating 3RR. Please don't reinstate the changes without a local consensus there, and you may see the same objection from me at certain other articles. Thanks. ―Mandruss ☎ 17:14, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Mandruss: I believe that it doesn't matter what the parameter is called (because only editors see that), but only that the appearance of the citations (italicized vs not italicized) is consistent in all the references in an article, and also consistent with the article title. (e.g. The New York Times vs. CNN) There was not consistency in this revision (e.g. it displays Fox News/CBS News and Fox News/CBS News), and the script is just a tool to quickly help make the article consistent. I manually review and fix the results before saving, and then make manual changes that the script doesn't catch. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me, and happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 17:31, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
- You're correct, I was gradually moving the article toward full consistency but hadn't gotten there yet. Someday I'll learn how to write my own scripts (but I still wouldn't use one for this purpose except at articles where I'm already heavily involved, such as that one). My preference would be for a clear community consensus, any consensus, even if it's not the consensus I would choose. But that's not the Wikipedia Way. ―Mandruss ☎ 17:38, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Mandruss: We agree that a clear consensus would be beneficial - I'm sorry we can't get there. I appreciate you reaching out to me, and will not run the script again on that article. GoingBatty (talk) 17:50, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

Why did you unlink CNN and BBC?[3] ―Mandruss ☎ 19:56, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Mandruss: That was standard functionality in Reflinks that I didn't notice, not a conscious choice. I have relinked CNN and BBC in all the references. Thanks for letting me know. GoingBatty (talk) 20:04, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Template talk:Cleanup bare URLs, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Your bot made a little mistake
The otorhinolaryngology article had two issue templates. In this edit I removed one of them. And then a day later, your bot "Removed Template:Multiple issues and General fixes using AWB." The edit was fine, just the summary was a little wrong because it didn't remove that template. 208.95.51.38 (talk) 12:45, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. I loaded all the articles with {{multiple issues}} into the bot and started running it to see which articles could have the template removed, and then my PC went to sleep and stopped. In the meantime, you kindly updated the article. I've changed my PC so it won't go to sleep, and I need to change the bot logic to prevent it from updating articles where the template has already been removed. Thanks again for the feedback! 02:43, 6 April 2018 Edits to Robert Hunter article
In your 02:43, 6 April 2018 edits to the Robert Hunter article you changed the link from (Notable Performances / 1979) "August 9, Robert Hunter" to disambiguate to Robert Hunter (rapper). However, the rapper was 3 years old on that date. The (then 37 year old) lyricist was the performer on that date, as he was on the other 3 dates listed in the article. Any reason I shouldn't re-edit that link to point to the lyricist's article? DocRuby (talk) 05:23, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- @DocRuby: You mean my edit to the My Father's Place article? Sorry for the mistake, and thanks for bringing it to my attention. I've fixed the link. Next time, please feel free to fix the edit immediately. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 23:08, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

WPCleaner 2.0
Hello GoingBatty.
I would like to inform you that a new version of WPCleaner is available replacing the old version (v1.43) dating back to almost a year. Unfortunately, going from version 1.43 to 2.0 automatically isn't possible and will require a new installation. It's necessary to install version 2.0 to take advantage of updates and bug fixes. Version 1.43 will have to be uninstalled manually, as there are no more updates for it.
The installation procedure is described at Wikipedia:WPCleaner/Installation.
Note: for usage in Bot mode, I strongly advise to check the modifications to be sure that the tasks run correctly

The article Carol Morgan has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Reason: Subject does not wish to have page. --JEM1406a (talk) 12:07, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

DYK for Sharon Dyall
On 18 December 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sharon Dyall, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that singer-songwriter Sharon Dyall translated the song lyrics from the Disney film Frozen into Swedish? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sharon Dyall. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Sharon Dyall), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Take part in a survey
Hi GoingBatty
We're working to measure the value of Wikipedia in economic terms. We want to ask you some questions about how you value being able to edit Wikipedia.
Our survey should take about 10-15 minutes of your time. We hope that you will enjoy it and find the questions interesting. All answers will be kept strictly confidential and will be anonymized before the aggregate results are published. Regretfully, we can only accept responses from people who live in the US due to restrictions in our grant-based funding.
As a reward for your participation, we will randomly pick 1 out of every 5 participants and give them $25 worth of goods of their choice from the Wikipedia store (e.g. Wikipedia themed t-shirts). Note that we can only reward you if you are based in the US.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. An error on the Disney Sing-Along Songs article
Hi, can you edit the "Disney Sing-Along Songs" article by fixing the sentence "The verse about the Painted Indians in "You Can Fly!" is cut in this volume, but appears in Home on the Range: Little Patch of Heaven." to "The verse about the Painted Indians in "Pecos Bill" is cut in this volume, but appears in Home on the Range: Little Patch of Heaven.", please? ArthurRead1976 (talk) 20:00, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
- @ArthurRead1976: I'm not familiar with these works, and there's no reference to back up either statement. I suggest you post your request on Talk:Disney Sing-Along Songs, and provide a reliable source that supports the change you want to be made. Good luck! GoingBatty (talk) 20:14, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
