August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Steatoda nobilis, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. I completely understand wanting to do something about the scaremongering with regards to this species, and I have my own issues with the article which I have brought up on its talk page, but I don't think the way you're going about it is constructive. - ThatSpiderByte (talk) 23:51, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Steatoda nobilis. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. - ThatSpiderByte (talk) 19:50, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You can also see the talk page discussion about this. While some of the media coverage of Steatoda nobilis bites has been exaggerated or dubious, there are some reliably recorded cases of people in the UK ending up in hospital after SN bites. This means that it would be misleading to remove all mentions of potential risk from a bite, which you seem to be trying to do even though it is not what the sourcing says.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 19:55, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Steatoda nobilis, you may be blocked from editing. - ThatSpiderByte (talk) 15:48, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
