Fictions[edit]

- Hi, and thanks for commenting! I created Category:Interactive fictions as a "set category" for the fictional works, as opposed to the "topic category" Category:Interactive fiction. The plural "interactive fictions" is used in some published sources[1][2][3], and it's in Wiktionary (not added by me). However, it's true that "fiction" is usually a non-count noun. Do you think "Interactive fiction works" or "Works of interactive fiction" would be an improvement? EALacey (talk) 19:03, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply! I think you convinced me to leave it alone. The Wiktionary entry was convincing (although the following example is for a different kind of fiction than what we're talking about: "The company’s accounts contained a number of blatant fictions.") Even the Wikipedia article on fiction says "these kinds of fictions" one time (although it uses fiction as an uncountable noun a few other times). Proteus[edit]
When you say based on the article, do you mean the Wikipedia page itself? The article itself cannot be used as a source. I've made that mistake multiple times before I was finally told it can't be used. Here's why: "Wikipedia articles (and Wikipedia mirrors) are not reliable sources for any purpose" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources.
