Gaius Vibius Pansa Caetronianus was consul of the Roman Republic in 43 BC, with Aulus Hirtius. The former consuls, Mark Antony and Publius Cornelius Dolabella became enemies of the state, Antony for besieging governor Decimus Junius Brutus Albinus of Cisalpine Gaul in Mutina. And Publius Cornelius Dolabella for mudering Gaius Trebonius, the proconsul of Asia. Pansa died of his battle wounds, a few days after the Battle of Forum Gallorum against Mark Antony.
