A map of Lorentz National Park in the Indonesian province of Papua. Named for the Dutch explorer Hendrikus Albertus Lorentz, this 25,056 km2 (9,674 mi2) park – the largest in South-East Asia – was established in 1997 and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
