Brooklyn Bridge lithograph
An 1883 chromolithograph of the Brooklyn Bridge, which connects Manhattan Island to Brooklyn. It was the first land passage between the two boroughs. On its opening on May 24, 1883, it became the longest suspension bridge in the world and its towers the tallest structures in the Western Hemisphere.
