F. Scott Fitzgerald

  • Comment: I figure that this is a good time for this fact, considering the 1920s and the Jazz Age occurred a century ago.

Improved to Good Article status by HAL333 (talk). Self-nominated at 15:59, 27 April 2020 (UTC).

  • Could I also add this image? (File:F Scott Fitzgerald 1921.jpg) Sorry. ~ HAL333 16:05, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
  • There is currently some disagreement over at the GA review regarding the quality of the article as a GA so I would suggest that this nomination not be reviewed until that is resolved. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:58, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
  • Ok, I'll try to resolve it. Thanks! ~ HAL333 15:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
  • Narutolovehinata5 The areas listed have been fixed. The discussion unfortunately spilled into ANI and nothing has come from it. Can we now proceed? ~ HAL333 00:03, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
  • I don't know, it might be a good idea for someone else to take a look at the article (I never intended to review this, I was only pointing out the discussion at the GAN page). But if the issues haven't been settled I wouldn't be confident in this being reviewed just yet. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:35, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
  • @BlueMoonset: some GA-related advice needed here. The GAC review page speaks for itself. It looks like the GA was legitimately passed by a reviewer. Then another editor objected, and what ensued seems rooted in personal issues. Everything just seems in a kind of limbo. — Maile (talk) 00:13, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Having seen the disaster of the GA review, I've opened an individual reassessment Talk:F. Scott Fitzgerald/GA2. I hope to do the review quick and get a final decision by the end of the week. All comments welcome. Kingsif (talk) 16:13, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
  • @Kingsif: HAL has left some messages at the GAR and has also edited the article. Have the concerns been addressed yet? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 07:09, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
  • @Narutolovehinata5 and HAL333: HAL has done some great work up to this morning restructuring and rephrasing, which was a main concern - it flows a lot more like e.g. Hemingway's article now. I'd still encourage continuing on the work they were doing, but it seems satisfactory for DYK, and the main GA issues have been resolved, too (duplicate comment from GANR). • ALT1a:... that the works of F. Scott Fitzgerald , like The Great Gatsby, only gained popularity after his death?
  • The article's talk page show that it is a GA article. Approving Alt1. Offering Alt1a for the promoter. --evrik (talk) 15:48, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
  • evrik That would work. ~ HAL333 20:59, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Yoninah  Done I fixed it all. ~ HAL333 19:22, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Restoring tick per evrik's review. Yoninah (talk) 19:45, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
